it is an event no matter how you slice it, but very nice day, great weather coming our way here today. now, there is always a little caveat here and there. we have frost advisory posted guys until 8:00 this morning for all of the counties shaded until the blue. but everybody is fair game. see little frost this morning, it is chilly enough for that outside. we will get to the temperatures in a second. but quick check on storm scan. always good place to stop off in the forecast, even though we have nothing to report. it is once again nice and clear. you don't even have a cloud in the sky. winds is light. err go you may see frost develop. but at the airport at the moment, 41, call many winds. it requires a coat obviously, but not going to be hugging it that much tighter because you feel the windchill, that's not the kind of morning we're facing, it is chilly obviously atlantic city, mount pocono, and pretty much anywhere. do expect you are going to wendt up with the need for jacket. but probably, the ability to shed it later on this afternoon, if you are going to be out all day. sixty-eight and sunny, not shabby. we keep the sun around at the

"eyewitness news" supporter jan carabeo live from the pole place in west depford, new jersey, good morning, jan. >> reporter: jim, rahel, good morning, that's right. the polls open here in new jersey at 6:00 this morning. it is clinton who is expected to win the garden state. democratic, democratic candidate has won new jersey since 1992. but, across the river in pennsylvania much tighter race. both candidates spent a lot of time in pa yesterday, and a number of swing states trying to get out the vote until the very last minute. take a look at the video here, in a midnight rally, lady gaga and jon bon jovi joined hillary clinton in raleigh, north carolina, polls show clinton tied with trump in that state. and then earlier in the night, clinton brought the star power right here to philadelphia. bruce springsteen, bill clinton, president obama, and the first lady, all joined her on stage outside of independence hall. clinton spent the day pushing her message, one final time. >> i'm here to ask you to vote for yourselves. vote for your families. vote for your futures.

as democratic challenger katie mcginty seeks to unseat republican incumbent pat toomey. mcginty has some big names backing her including democratic presidential candidate, hillary clinton. and now ally so crucial to her campaign, critics question her ability to make independent decisions should clinton become president. >> my only test is going to be is this good or bad for the people of pennsylvania? >> on the other hand, too toomey has refused to say whether he'll vote for republican candidate donald trump. disbelief spoken out, and i have refused to endorse him because of the many concerns i have about him. >> even more at steak than being pennsylvania senator controls the senate. gop is struggling to hold onto its majority and conservative senator pat toomey is considered one of the most vulnerable senate incumbents. while mcginty will vote here in wayne, senator pat toomey will vote in his home base every lehigh county. be sure stay with cbs-3 all night long. we will have reporters at both

about 1:15 this morning, two children are among those in the care of the red cross. the cause that far fire is under investigation. >> police involved shoot something under investigation in north philadelphia. it happened around 7:00 last night. on the 3100 block of north ninth street. investigators say the officers were looking for a man wanted for earlier shooting. when they tried to stop him, they say, he point add gun at them. the man was shot three times in the chest and died at the hospital. officers tell us they did find two guns on the man after he was shot. a 15 year old is fighting for his life after being shot in the head in kensington. "eyewitness news" on the scene in the 2100 block of 1st st. there is no word on the victim's identity. police say they've made an arrest and recovered a weapon. >> now to update to a story we first told but last week. an infant has died after being trapped in a fire in philadelphia's olney section. firefighters pulled the 11 month old boy out of the burning home on the 300 block every east sheldon street last thursday. six year old boy injured in the fire is still in critical

>> thirds body found on the serial killer. authorities though will resume searching his home today, where a woman was found chained in a metal container last week. so far the 45 year old has been linked to at least seven deaths. >> police in new york city have woman in custody accused of shoveling another woman in front after subway train in times square. the victim was killed, and 30 year old melanie liverpool of queens was arrested on murder charges. investigators say the women had been arguing on the subway platform. authorities say liverpool is emotionally disturbed. police say the two were surrounded by eyewitnesses. >> and they saw this woman push another woman and they flagged down two police officers that were standing on the platform. it is a horrible incident. and your heart goes out to this family and the victim. >> now, police are also reportedly investigating the possibility that liverpool is responsible for a similar incident at union square

earlier this month. union square incident was initially classified as a suicide. all right, turning gears now, check this out. a massive sinkhole in japan leads to evacuations, power outages, even flooding. >> fifteen major buildings and 157 other structures are without power, the five lane road collapsed early this morning, thankfully, there were no injuries reported after the giant sinkhole opened up. authority believe nearly subway construction may have been a factor. >> boy, just weeks after deadly earthquakes in italy, two people were killed, when multiple tornados touched down on sunday near rome. authorities say 25 year old man was killed when debris from a building hit him in the head. seventy-four year old man was crushed by a tree and dozens of other people were hurt. several buildings were damaged, and some people had to leave their homes, because of flooding and fears of gas leaks. they can't get a break over there. >> no, i know, been a lot for italy lately. fortunately though here at home, a lot quieter.

lights, boulevard southbound, outer drive near fifth street. put off blocking the right lane. so you bet that will probably slow you down at this time. so i would give yourself extra 15 minutes around there. you will probably deal with some gaper delay, as well. just know it is outs there. you will have to take your time around there. just heads up, even though septa we now now in the world of septa that we're look good, but still going have a lot of vehicles out there again today as we ease some of the tension that we've experienced over the six days, so heads up on that, delaware county 95 north at four a 52, up to the airport, not too bad. but i will say a little maybe just little bit of busy, than tuesday in delaware county so kind of good indicator probably get bus any that area, as women. then look at the ben franklin bridge, let's look, let me back out of the way so you can see the beautiful shot here move in the westbound direction from jersey in center city looking good you can see early risers out there overall the ben franklin bridge still looking nice, and of course, like we were just talking about buses, subways, trolleys, back to normal today so we will keep an eye on regional rails as well. but overall so far so good.

around the delaware valley. turning to florida, authorities are working to figure out what made more than two dozen children sick at florida preschool. happened yesterday in the miami area. nineteen kids were hospitalized, after 29 fell sick. children were vomiting, now, officials suspect it could be something that the student ate for lunch but you can imagine, several agent sits are now investigating. >> here is a great story, wisconsin fourth grader prone to getting sick keeps up with his class with the help afro booth. grade i loper has rare condition that severely weakens his immune system. but thanks to this robot on wheels, grade can i avoid germs at school and still be present the days lesson, a lot like skype. they can see and hear him after school. >> one cover could spread a whole run around the classroom, and if i catch that cough i'm sick. >> grade i prefers to be in the classroom, but when he is feeling under the weather his robot on wheels is the next best thing.
