>> reporter: rahel, constant flow of people going into bensalem high school for the past hour and a half while we've been here, many well aware of the fact that bucks county a crucial count nay crucial state for this election, not just the white house but also for congress, the senate you have pat toomey versus katie mcginty eighth district, steve, and just little while ago we went into the gym so could you take a look, women over 100 people, standing in line, in the gym or cafeteria where we were, and it is interesting here, bucks county near lay equal split among registered voters, 43% democrats, 41% republicans, but here is why national politicians are still lazer focused on bucks county. 16% of voters aren't registered with either of the major political parties so they could be up for grabs. here's what a couple vote hers to say when they said what's important to vote today? >> i'm so excited to vote today. did i vote for the republican party. i believe that we need to

washington township gloucester county. new jersey voters are electing house members from all 12 legislative districts. >> and in the first state, chopper three over a busy polling place in wilmington. voters turned out this morning, at van zero bancroft elementary school north lombard street, voters in delaware are also choosing a governor today. >> the lines really show a level of excitement about today's voting, jan carabeo in philadelphia and across the river in new jersey, those who got their vote in first thing this morning. >> line of voters filled out the door and down the street, in front of the olds first reform church in philadelphia tuesday morning. forcing the voting public here, to wait just little longer to cast their ballot. >> i think it is very good that all of these people coming out to vote. >> the old city church home to two district, oddly enough, voters in the 16th district had no wait at all, while 26 district voters left taking turns on their machines, and says the wait is worth it. >> voting for a woman, too. >> lines at polling placings

campaign, that's finally coming to an end. supporters mobbed hillary clinton and her husband, former president, bill clinton, as they filled out their ballots in their hometown in new york. she greeted voters waiting outside and said she feels humbled. >> i know how much responsibility goes with this. and so many people are counting on the outcome of this election. >> runningmate, tim kaine, got an even earlier start, testing his ballot at 6:00 a.m. in richmond, virginia. >> donald trump voted a few hours later in new york city. based on cbs news analysis, hillary clinton leads donald trump 214 to 186 in electoral vote. but number of states remain up for grabs shall and the outcome will likely depends on voter turn out. trump got out for early lead in parts of new hampshire just after midnight. then early morning hours there were long lines of voters from new york, to california, from

"eyewitness news" cameras caught up with mcginty as she cast her ballot this morning in tredyffrin chester county, latest pole show mcginty and toomey neck and nick in the race. toomey campaign says the senator will cast his vote in zionsville, lehigh county,

10:00. then cbs news and "eyewitness news", team up, to bring you all you need to know on "eyewitness news" at 11:00. and again, the "eyewitness news" team is covering all the races you care about, jessica dean, natasha brown will cover the presidential race in new york city. we have reporters on all of the big races, and pennsylvania, new jersey, and delaware. cbs-3 is your station for campaign 2016. in other news this noon, one person is in the hospital and several people in the care of the red cross after an overnight fire in west philadelphia. investigators say the fire started in the basement after 3-story building near 42nd and parkside at about 1:15 this morning. five adults, and two children, were forced from their homes. crews had the fire under control in about a half hour. to atlantic city women paying the price for allegedly coming up joaquin to steel money from toll boots in south jersey. authorities say 54 year old argala freeman polls and 57 year old reeves stuffed material into pole baskets along the a.c. expressway at exit five to prevent coins

from going in. surveillance video allegedly shows the women tampering with the baskets, then returning later to collect the money. investigators say, toll officials realized something was wrong when toll revenues came up short over the summer, and the woman were arrested and charged with theft. >> thirds body has been found burried on the property of alleged serial killer todd, continuing their search of his 95-acre property today. woman was found chained in a metal shipping contain their last week. so far the 45 year old has been linked to the deaths of at least seven people. he allegedly also confessed to four slayings carried out in 2003. well, still to come: right after the break on "eyewitness news" some crazy video to show you. >> we will start with a gaping hole in the ground with this sinkhole suddenly opened up, and what officials think caused it. then, a deadly tornado caught on tape. in a area recently rattled by a powerful earthquake. katy? >> it's been a place that they've seen extreme weather. back here at home, pretty tame, all things considered. we are finally going to see a

>> welcome back to reelection day 2016. >> several local candidates are casting their ballots this morning, state senator, john rafferty, jr. is a republican candidate for attorney general, he submitted his ballot at audubon elementary school on egypt road in

eagleville. running against democrat, josh shapiro for attorney general. >> right. shapiro, democrat and his family went to the polls together this morning in meadowbrook, montgomery count. >> i democratic congressional candidate dwight evans greeted voters this morning at play. mansfield avenue cedarbrook. evans running for congressional seat last held by democrat chaka fattah. voters in delaware weighing in on number of key races will elect new members to congress, that race is between democrats lisa blunt rochester and republican-regal. the race for governor in regal pits democratic congressman, john carney, jr., against republican state senator colin. other rates cents on the ballot include lou ten after governor, wilmington mayor, and the chief executive of new castle county. well, vote letters also see balance odd questions across the area, one question in pennsylvania, fix the raise of supreme court justices from 70 to 75 years old. the jersey voters will be asked if they want to allow casino glam beginning in two additional counties in the

state, currently gambling is only allowed in atlantic city. and the justice department is deploying hundreds of people in 28 states to monitor the polls. they'll be in philadelphia and lehigh county, and also, middlesex county, new jersey. from the department's civil rights division, and will health enforce federal voting rights laws. donald trump has repeatedly urged his supporters to monitor the polls, claiming the election may be rigged. of course singled out philadelphia. and cbsphilly.com is a really great resource for election day, you can find your polling place, and then once the polls close at 8:00 see your vote count when we do. we also have some fun election day freebies, go to cbsphilly.com. >> in international news today, the country of italy struggling with the deadly wrath of mother nature. several tornados touched down, sunday, near rome, 25 year old man was killed by debris, and 74 year old plan was killed when a tree fell on him. several damaged buildings were evacuated because of flooding and gas leaks. tornados came days after series of earthquakes, and now

police say a valuable 17 century painting was stolen from a damaged church after those quakes. check this out. massive sinkhole in japan leads to evacuations, power outages, even flooding. fifteen major buildings and more than 150 other structures are still without power. the five lane road collapsed early this morning, safely no one was hurt after the giant sinkhole opened up. authorities believe nearby subway construction may have been a factor. >> well, it was a scary scene for one woman, as she tried to make a meal. >> still ahead, you will not believe what happened to her bottle of salad dressing, it started making very strange noises, and see what happened next, katy? >> you don't want to miss this, trust us, look ahead to your upcoming weekend, the weekend watch at this point is looking rather quiet, when it comes to the sunshine, the high pressure that will be in place, but it will be a weekend of the colds he is air we've seen so far this season. what's that mean in terms of the actual thermometer readings in that answer for you coming one your full

>> back on "eyewitness news", where a woman says her bottle of salad dressing exploded. she said she was making a bolt, making a meal, rather, when the bottle of dressing started making popping noises, and shooting dressing in the air. now, the dress hadding been recalled because of the bang tear ya that causes the dress to go foam, and even spew out, which is obviously what it d now the dressing explosion damaged the walls, the carpet, computer, and even her dress.

november 8th? and combine that with the fact that it is so mild outside, it is just a beautiful beginning, again, to the afternoon. we had nice morning, too, although it was a little on the chilly side. now starting to rebounds very efficiently here. sixty-seven outside whitt fields elementary school, classroom full of kids out here on the pavement, enjoying recess, all since gone back inside i guess, but regardless, they're even enjoying the great outdoors right now, as are these, two folks, just beautiful serene view for you. with all just again two people, sitting on the beach here, i just thought it was beautiful shot h to show you. that said, though, again, this warmth is going to eventually go by the wayside. current temperature readings mid 406's in most locations, heck, even mount pocono, 62 right now. our normal high in philly is only in the upper 50's, on this day of the year. just really is a nice warm up of course it is election day, we have battleground states that are going to be headed to the polls here throughout the rest of the afternoon. it stays nice and quiet on the west coast. and it certainly will here on the entire eastern seaboard, as well, only the only spots

that we have to worry about nip wet weather is potentially impacting the polls, will be out in michigan, and ohio, but this front is what eventually does cross through the keystone state tomorrow. and that's where we turn our focus, so look ahead to tomorrow, specking really just scattered showers, we could use a good soaking rain. that's not this system. it looks as though it is between the hours of 5:00 and 3:00 maybe little bit earlier or later, as that front pushes through from northwest to southeast. just depend where you are, how soon it get, there how late it actually wraps up for you. but further inland when you see it first then out toward the coast when it leaves at the latest point, only talking maybe quarter of an inch an absolute max in terms of precipitation from this. beyond that front, the re i am forcements come in, and by this weekend, we will see surge of colds air, that allows it to feel more like december, when it comes to the thermometer readings. so, with that said, we figure why not throw in a handy dandy winter countdown for you? still obviously many, many days away 50, 47 days until

christmas, so shopping can continue here, new years, 54 days away, average high of 40 doesn't come for another 57 days. still nice long way from that, and as we wrap up our election day through the rest of the afternoon, sun will continue to shine, we expect to hit 68 officially, between the hours of 1:00 and four. but as your wrapping up that final hour of polling here, at 7:00, 60 degrees, even still, after the sun has gone down for couple of hours. so, really warm air in place. come saturday, though, we can't even hit 50. if we try. it is pretty quiet forecast up and down obviously but the chill is the big headline approaching this coming weekend. >> this is a little bit of an unusual story. take a look, zoo in siberia is wearing in on the us president ali election, zoo keepers gave tiger and polar bear pumpkins that represented hillary clinton and donald trump. the pumpkins were filled with the animal's favorite treats, meat and fish. in the end of the tiger favored the clinton pumpkin.
