these everyone saying happy veterans day, good morning, everyone, happy friday. roads are look nice and dry right now. we do have one accident out there. >> it looks like the wet weather will continue to be not the theme for us, we can only see it will hole off for the next couple of days, looking at storm scan, very tranquil, making a tri-state sweep, not picking up on anything at the moment. temperatures at the moment, into the 40's, pretty much across the boards, low 50's to report from wildwood up to atlantic city and elsewhere, generally, finding the temperatures, again, in the 40's right now, so off to cool start, but not as colds as it was yesterday morning. we do have eventually expect to rebounds to little bit every milder place, specking few more clouds, as well, especially the further north you travel, because there is a cold front passage going to take place here it, does look like it still comes through dry, however, it is what's going to be responsible for a very significant nosedive on the thermometer readings tomorrow. so, it is milder, but notice the breeze today, and then we are off to frigid start saturday. just how cold? you have to wait and seep in

blocked there. we have a lot of construction out there, this one by the accident, northeast extension southbound. so right lane blocked there, jan, over to you. >> meisha, thank you, being called the epi-center of anti-trump protests all across the country. portlands organ began peaceful, turned violent, with protesters smashing out car windows, storefronts, protesters also set dumpsters on fire. now calling the protest a roy the. oakland thousands of anti-trump protesters flooded the street for third straight night. the group shutdown both lanes of a california highway, while throwing rocks, bottles and setting off fireworks. police declared a protest as an unlawful assembly and eventually used tear gas to control the crowd. chanting, marching, and a lot of signs as denver protesters kept their demonstration peaceful. the group headed to the colorado capitol, and grew as time went on, about 3,000 people responds the to the event on facebook, even more

people showed up to the rally against the president-elect. >> back here in philadelphia, demonstrators who disrupted traffic in center city last night say they'll continue their protests against the presidential election. "eyewitness news" reporter trang do live at city hall where the protesters started just before rush hour. morning, frank. >> reporter: well, good morning, jim and jan. so far, no word yet if those protests are going to continue for a third day, but once again the protests last night started right here in front of the municipal services building across from city hall, went out into the street and continued for hours. take a look. (protests). >> for the second night in a row, demonstrators took to philadelphia streets in protest of president-elect donald trump. at about a thousand people, the crowd just as large as the night before, only this time mostly women. marched along jfk boulevard, up to 30th street station, during the evening rush hour, snarling traffic along the way the protesters shouted out not

only for woman's rights but for other groups who feel their rights could be in jeopardy under a trump presidency. >> as a woman, i think it is really important to make sure that our government doesn't take away our rights. >> it terrified me when trump even suggested repealing roe v. wade. trump has explicitly expressed that he wants to take away the individual rights of minorities, of lgbt, and other people that just need to come out and support this movement. >> and the president-elect spoke out for the first time last night via twitter to respond to all of the protests going on across the count rip, he wrote, just had a very open and successful presidential election, now professional protesters invited by moot yard are protesting very unfair. police here in philadelphia reported no arrests as a result of these protests. demonstrators do say they plan to protest trump's inauguration on january 20th. but for now outside city hall, i'm trang do, cbs-3,

"eyewitness news". jim, jan, back to up guys. >> thank you, frank. mr. trump and president obama met yesterday in the oval office for about 90 minutes, to begin a smooth transfer of power. the two, who have spent years bashing each other, never met until yesterday. the president-elect thanked president obama for the meeting and calls him a very good man. >> we discussed a lot of difference situations, some wonderful, and some difficult. i very much look forward to dealing with the president in the future, including counsel. >> president obama meanwhile told the president-elect he wanted him to succeed and would do everything he could to ensure a smooth transition. >> we talk about foreign policy, we talk about domestic policy, and as i said last night, my number one priority in the coming two months is to try to facilitate a transition that ensures our president-elect is successful.

>> now, afterward, president obama said he left the meeting with renewed confidence that trump was committed to a smooth transition. >> now, in the aftermath of the election, hateful messages in a bucks county high school have student and parent concerned. some are taking the acts every vandalism over at council rock high school north personally. take a look at this picture, if trump wins, watch out, was written on a toilet paper dis ends err in a girls bathroom where a defaced piece of paper was also found. >> i actually walked into my second period class and looked at my phone and there was an image from my friends, i was sent in a group chat, that had swastikas on it, and mean things toward homosexuals with the f word involved. >> two more swastikas were found in a boys bathroom and a latina student said she found a note in her back pack telling her to return to mexico. the school district and newtown township police are investigating. >> well, new this morning, a man is in the hospital after getting shot in north

philadelphia. police say they responded to the scene around 11:30 last night the 3600 block of north broad street. the victim is a 17 year old, at this point, his condition is unknown, police are currently investigating the incident. meanwhile, fire damages a historic home in south jersey for the second time in just a few months, this is video from chopper three over the fire in west ham many ton, burlington county. this is a home formerly known as the henry row and mansion, home on bridge street owned by the late industrial and philanthropist, now owned by the county. a fire back in june damaged the kitchen. the cause of this last fire is under investigation. fortunately, no one was injured. >> meantime, at rowan university, a student is being treated for burns to his leg after his cell phone charger caught fire in his pocket. this footage of rowan, glassboro county, in the chamberlain student center when it happened. the fire department responded. we do not know the extent of the student's injuries. we also don't know the make or

model of the charger. >> well, new this morning, learning more bee tails about the deal between this transit workers union and septa which ended days long strike. >> september a.m. is increasing pension payment payments depending on the number of years someone has worked with septa. those increases are between around 13 and 15%. members are also receiving a ten and a half% wage increase. that's over the course of a five year contract. >> they will also have to pay more for healthcare going from 1% to 2.5% by december 2019. the union also says had septa succeeded in getting a injunction to ends the strike, members would have lost the right to do so forever. >> well, it is not even thanksgiving. right? my goodness. but already it is starting to lock a whole lot like christmas. >> take a look, the franklin square holiday festival opened for the season last night, there are a lot of holiday light on display, and the

friday, happy veterans day, just very own day behind the scenes, so, roads looking okay, we do have one accident, we'll get to that in just a moment (saluting all of the men and women who serve. looks like the weather will cooperate. do have the hiccup of the fact we have winds picking up out, there but we don't expect wet weather. that's good, all clear on storm scan, a loop, i don't feel like you would know that unless you saw the time stamp moving over the last couple of hours, nothing see here folks. so, might as well move on, high pressure in place, at least for now, the temperatures as they stands are not bad, pair of four's on this morning of the year, really not that chilly for the standards, flirting with 50 right now, that's the best you can hope for for the daytime high in many spots. come tomorrow, so there is a transition that's going to be taking place, even though it is moderating up today. should easily hit the low 406's, going to be
