live from the cbs broadcast center in philadelphia. this is cbs-3 "eyewitness news". hands where i can see them. >> hands where i can see them. >> what started as a simple traffic stop turns into a dramatic altercation, and this is just part of the chaotic scene in camden county. most before that, the haddon township officer was dragged, truck crashing into another car. good evening, i'm ukee washington. >> i'm jessica dean. cleve bryan is live in haddon township, with more of the dramatic video, cleve? >> reporter: jessica, the officer involved in the shoot something on administrative leave, which is standard procedure during the investigation. now, when we showed that video to people who were around the incident, they say what they now see happened is a lot different from what they thought happened. >> oh, crazy. >> what's causing angela yancy's jaw to drop. >> oh, my god. >> is newly released dash cam

video shows why her car park on alabama road in camden got smashed almost two weeks ago. the video also shows the situation that led to a haddon township police officer shooting the driver in the leg. camden county prosecutor's office investigating the police involved shoot that happened on the morning of october 29th. they say 38 year old edmond brown from camden was pulled over for a traffic stop that gannon route 130. while the officer was attempt to go identify brown, here's what happened. >> after almost getting killed in the crash the officer drew his gun and ordered brown to the ground. instead he stood up and ran away, during the foot chase, a shot went off striking brown in the leg. after more struggle on the grounds, brown was arrested and sent to the hospital for treatment. >> i saw when they put the guy in the stretcher, how he was sitting up. >> thirteen year old amiah header the gunshot outside her house. she spoke to us with her mom's

permission, she made assumptions about the officer involved shooting and seeing the video it changes her minds. >> yes, because i just thought the guy, the cop, shot the guy, just out of anger and wanted him to be scared. i didn't know it was like all that happened. so the cop had a purpose to pull his gun out. >> should have stopped, did what thousand dollars do, everything could have been prevented. now we don't have a caribous he decided he had to do some dumb stuff. that's not fair to us. >> now, police say upon further investigation, they found a loaded handgun in that truck with brown. being charged with multiple weapons charges, also aggravated assault, allude g police n haddon township, cleve bryan, cbs-3, eyewitness news. >> clever, thank you. developing right now, allegations of racism, targetting a certain group of students at the university of pennsylvania. forum where use kearse add other people to the staple message thread n this case, though, after can american student on campus were invite today a group about lynching, the title included the "n" word. as you can imagine, much of what you are about to see will be disturbing. now, for example, an event was posted in the group, announcing a quote, daily lynching scheduled for today. the group also included pictures, someone posted under the name trump daddy, another it, along with derogatory comments about black student, and a comment made by donald trump regarding grabbing genitalia. student tell us every african-american freshman on campus was added to the group. the name donald trump is mentioned throughout the thread, new president-elect is an u pen alum. many student we spoke with feel like this is a backlash from the election, and some were too upset to speak on camera, as word of this racist

it will feel very cold tomorrow morning. i'll show you you just house coal. looking at storm scan3, actually outside first, show this beautiful skyline all lit up from center city, looking good, our go pro cam, nice night out there. but it is blustery, and we get blown down the street couple of times, so definitely make sure to wear few extra layers, if you are headed out and b storm scan3 clear, front came through with barely any moisture at all, even as we widen out, see some snow in the wake of the front, over portions every maine, vermont, new hampshire. nothing for us. that cool air moving in from the north and west, and that's what we're feeling tonight. those cold winds, winds gusting as high as 30 miles an hour. so, this evening, breezy, chilly, tonight is the coldest night so far. tomorrow struggle to hit ooh degrees, won't feel much better than the mid 40's, cold air permiating blue, trying to permiate into the green, 47 allentown, 37 mount pocono, still sitting at 54 philadelphia, but look at all of the cold to the north and

west. forty-five in state college, 39 in buffalo, still hanging onto 60 in d.c., but the coal head that way, as well, and current winds still strong about 15 to 20 miles an hour sustained, due north, and gusts as high as 25 or 30 miles an hour tonight. that means, tomorrow morning when you wake up it, will feel like the upper teens in the poconos, low 20's, until the lehigh valley, berks county, lancaster county, will feel sub freezing in philadelphia, and all surrounding suburbs, near freezing is what it will feel like in delaware, as we drop down to 34 degrees, coldest night yet. there is a frost advisory by the way overnight for philadelphia, delaware county, the whole state of delaware, and cape may county, new jersey. saturday, again, we struggle to hit 50. it is december like. 49 degrees the high tomorrow, with the light breeze, not quite as windy, that's the one saving grace, a lot of stuff going on on sunday. talk about the lemon run first for alex lemonade stand down in fairmount park, please touch museum, 39 degrees, chilly, bundle up if you are running, much better in the afternoon for the eagles game
