know what, i put on couple of extra layers today. i heard we'll be in for a bit of a shock. >> next few mornings, pretty cold, talking to's, 30's, today we struggle to get to 50. this is the coldest day since last april. so been a while, but that time of year woe start to get these hits of cold air. good news, if you don't like the cold, basically it is a one day deal. tomorrow we bring the temperatures back to average, maybe couple of degrees above average. overall not back weekend at all, nice and dry. all is cold outside. breezy day yesterday. that breeze brought in mid of 60s, not happening today. big change there. thirty-seven the current temperature at the airport. northwest breeze down to 5 miles per hour, windchills values down to the lower 30's, maybe upper 20's cold spots. again, chilly morning with the heavier coat needed. frost advisory for philadelphia, delaware county, all of delaware, and cape may county. the areas not in the frost advisory, areas that already had their frost, earlier this season. there you go, the temperature spread, upper's in the poconos, to about 40 degrees

as you head toward the immediate coastline, suburb hanging out mid to lower 30's at this hour. winds speeds generally 10 miles per hour or less today. that's good newsment at least don't have to battle any harsh winds. nice and dry in storm scan3, a lot of sunshine around this afternoon, going to be the same deal tomorrow. overall just a cool day. fifty in philadelphia, upper 40's, at the shore, and at the poconos, only in the mid 40's. talking little warm up in the seven day. next chance of rain coming up in a few more minutes, jan, back to you. >> thank if you, new this morning, fire has damaged row home in philadelphia's olney neighborhood, injuring one person, firefighters got the call to a house on the 6,000 block of north philip street. there is no word on how seriously the person was injured or how badly the home was damaged. >> in another part of olney, philadelphia police investigating an accident. it happened early this morning, at fifth and rockland. no word on the injuries here or how many carts were involved in the crash. the university of

pennsylvania and mayor jim kenney are denounce ago act of hate targetting a u pen student. someone sent racist and threatening messages to black freshmen. "eyewitness news" reporter alexandria hoff has reaction from the student body. >> didn't know what it was at first. i listened in. saw what it was. >> this is freshman at the university of pennsylvania. like a majority of her black peers, blatently racist and threatening messages began appearing on her phone through the messaging app group me. she and over 150 others had been added to a group with a title that used the "n" word and include advent invitation for a lynching. among other threats. the. we asked we not show her face. >> out of all places i didn't think my school would be the school to have to go through it. >> in a statement the university said we have increased campus safety and are racing out to support the affected students in every way we can, want them to know the entire penn community stands with them. mayor jim kenney also weighed in, expressing in part: it is

administration, he's now replaced new jersey governor chris christie as the head of his transition team. vice president elect mike pence will now head the team that is crafting the next presidential administration, christie will serve as an advice chairman in the transition. also on the team, three of trump's children, his son-in-law, and rnc chairman ryan preivus. christie released a statement saying in part i am proud to have run the pre-election face of the transition team, they've prepared an outstanding tell let for president-elect trump as we now enter the post election phase, i look forward to working with vice president elect pence. >> meanwhile, it was another night of anti-trump rallies in several sits, including philadelphia. chopper three over center city where several hundred people marched through the street and impact dollars traffic. the philadelphia protest remained peaceful. >> police are investigating a double shooting in philadelphia's hunting park neighborhood. this happened at eighth and luzern street. the victims are 26 year old man shot in the hand and the

shoulder, and 32 year old woman shot in the abdomen. both victims were taken to temple university hospital in stable condition. no arrests have been made. >> and, a deadly hit-and-run in kensington now. cbs-3 chopper three over a and lehigh street last night. police say 23 year old woman crossing lehigh avenue was hit by a red honda sick, that attempt topped flea the scene, but the driver was taken into custody. and, altercation between an officer and a suspect. a first look at video from that police-involved shooting in haddon township, camden county. "eyewitness news" reporter cleve bryan shows us what led to the confrontation. >> crazy. >> what's causing angela yancy's jaw to drop. >> oh, my god. >> is newly-released dash cam video that shows why her car park on alabama road in camden got smashed almost two weeks ago. the video also shows the situation that led to a haddon township police officer shooting the driver in the

leg. camden county prosecutor's office investigating the police involved shoot that happened on the morning of october 29th. they say 38 year old edmond brown from camden was pulled over for a traffic stop that gannon route 130. while the officer was attempt to go identify brown, here's what happened. after almost getting killed in the crash, the officer drew his gun, ordered brown to the grounds. instead he stood up and ran away. during the foot chase the shot went off, striking brown in the leg, after more struggle on the grounds, brown was arrested and sent to the hospital for treatment. >> i saw when they put the guy on the stretcher, and how he was sitting up. >> thirteen year old amiah heard the gunshot outside her house. she spoke to with us with her mom's permission. she had seen the video and it changes her minds. >> yes, because i just thought the guy -- the cop shot the guy just out of anger and wanted him to be scared.

i didn't know it was, like, all of that happened. so the cop had a purpose to pull the gun out. >> should have stopped, did what you had to do, and everything would cop have been prevented. now we don't have a car. it is not fair to us. >> they found a loaded handgun in that truck with brown, being charged with multiple weapons offenses, as well as aggravated assault, allude g police. the officer involved has been placed on administrative leave. in haddon township, cleve bryan, "eyewitness news". >> authorities are searching for two suspects in a series of robberies in the 19th district. take a look at this, this surveillance video. this spree gannon october 23. several businesses were hit, including two bars, a family dollar, and convenience store, the suspect were armed in each robbery. if you have any information contact police. well, the 57th annual delaware county veterans day parade took place in media yesterday. >> ♪

good news, the winds has really calm down. yesterday little breezy. it got us to the mid 60s, today different story, good 15 degrees colder during the afternoon hours. so definitely the coldest air we've had since last spring. check out the temperatures, clear skies, calmer winds. thirty-seven at the airport, below freezing now in interior south jersey, millville, 30 degrees, sitting at freezing in wilmington at this hour. probably dropping another degree or two right before sunrise, coming in after 6:30 this morning, mid 30's, in quakertown, doylestown at this hour, 33 mt. holly. still few areas, have not seen their last or first frost of the season, you have to go here in the city, the frost advisory remains in effect. delaware county, all of delaware, cape may county under the frost advisory this morning. winds less than 10 miles per hour out of the northwest. starting to filter in that cold air, and just set unless through the day today. a lot of sunshine though. that's the good thing happening this afternoon. mostly sunny skies. so this morning, cold, 20's, 30's, this afternoon,

protests also continued for the fourth night in los angeles. hundreds marched in the streets, and gathered at city hall, but policeman and today keep them off the freeways. marlie hall is in new york city and other cities where people are protesting trump's election. >> for the third straight night, thousands of people in major us cities protested president-elect donald trump. in atlanta, they burned an american flag in the middle of the road. demonstrators stopped traffic on a major highway in miami. this trump supporter got stuck in the middle. >> it will eventually get together, and there is no way around that. >> in chicago, people marched down michigan avenue. in new york. they gathered for a love rally. >> why is it that you disagree with trump being the president? >> i understand that trump was elected by the electoral college. i don't disagree with that. i disagree with the message that he sends during his

"eyewitness news" reporter anita oh, live there in front of the art museum stems, not far from the starting line. morning, anita. how is it looking? >> good morning, jan. well, it is cold out here, but there are tons of people getting ready for the rocky run and to run up the historic art museum steps, you can see, behind me, all of these tent have been set up for this run, taking off in about an hour. tons of volunteers from different organizations, helping out today, one of them, megan doris, with arcadia physician assistant program. eighteen student rent here, megan, it is cold, it is early. why was it important for you to be here today? >> our group was looking for a way to volunteer, help raise money for the physician assistant, it takes place in the spring, the al olympics raising money for non-profit organization. >> you guys just received your assignmentments. what will you be doing today? >> handing out water today. >> and you are joining the physician assistant program.
