boy: always make sure young children are within your watch when shopping or playing. it only takes a few moments for a child predator to make contact with an innocent child. alex: welcome back. here are some mysteries which we need your help to solve. maybe you recognize one of these individuals. autom dillon was last seen on june 6, 2016 near her home in tallahassee, florida.

17-year-old autom has a history of running away from home. autom has pierced ears, and has a rose tattooed on her right thigh, and the name "nana" tattooed on her left forearm. autom is 5-feet, 6-inches tall, and weighs 126 pounds. missing from naperville, illinois, 16-year-old destiny anderson was last seen on june 30, 2016. destiny is believed to have run away from home. she has multiple tattoos on her right arm, chest and abdomen. destiny has black hair and brown eyes, but she often dyes her hair or wears wigs of various colors, and she may be wearing colored contact lenses. you go to the store, leaving your young children at home alone. while you're out, a salesman or workman comes to your house.

what should you have taught your children to do? check the man's i.d., and if it looks official, let him in? only let him in if he says, "your mom told me it was ok to come in while she's out"? or don't open the door, and tell the man to come back? asking for an i.d. won't do any good. lots of phony i.d.s look official. they should always keep the door locked and tell him to come back. missing from st. petersburg, florida since december 19, 2014, 15-year-old mya grooms is believed to have run away from home. mya may have travelled to tampa or wesley chapel, florida. she may use the alias last name "edwards." an endangered runaway from seattle, washington, tiariyan marr was reported missing on may 25, 2016. 15-year-old tiariyan, who uses the nickname "titi," may have travelled to kent,

washington. missing from van nuys, california since may 28, 2016, 15-year-old dreanna hermosillo ran away from home, possibly to oakland, california. dreanna is 5-feet tall an and weighs 118 pounds. motieka longtree is missing from ronan, montana. she was last seen may 18, 2016. 15-year-old motieka, who uses the nickname "tieka," may still be in the local area. she's 5-foot-4 and weighs 137 pounds. 17-year-old grace torrence was last seen in converse, texas on april 17, 2016. she may have travelled to san antonio.

grace's hair is black but may be dyed bright red. the endangered runaway may need medical attention. last seen on may 17, 2016, ryley lenane is an endangered runaway from macomb, illinois. 15-year-old ryley may have travelled to missouri. he may use the alias name "ryley smith" or "jason mendenhall. remember, call your local authorities if you have any information about these or any other missing cases. visit our website, www.usamissing.com, for more information. when we come back, valuable information on how to keep you and your family safe. we'll return right after this brief break. girl: at night, always sit near the driver on an empty bus. if you order a taxi, make sure the taxi that arrives is the one you ordered. if you have doubts, don't get in.

caught in the middle of a custody battle between her parents, adinda curry has been missing from carmichael, california since june 26, 2016. authorities fear that the 7-year-old may have been taken to indonesia by her mother. adinda has brown hair and brown eyes. when last seen, she was 4-feet-tall and weighed 40 pounds. time now for our family safety tip--important information for everyone you love. boy: come on, mom, we need the passes. second boy: and the lunch money. mom: boys, please, give me 5 seconds. second boy: but the lines are getting longer. mom: calm down, you maniacs. the passes are...here. boy: got 'em! mom: meet us at lunch at the food court, and try to stay together! alex: the instructions from this mom are ambiguous. she needs to

this type of work. and that old idiom "the apple doesn't fall far from the tree" is true in most cases, so we can get an idea as to their maturity based on the family. it's an image based on hope that when we put it out there that somebody who actually knows that child, that missing person, would recognize them from the image we have created. it's proven itself. it does work. alex: the national center for missing and exploited children has this telephone hotline for tips and information about missing individuals. don't go away. with me. >> if you're angry it's a time to bind together as a nation. >> reporter: anita oh cbs3 "eyewitness news." police meantime are investigating a rash of violent attacks that took place saturday in center city. police stay an off-duty police officer is among several victims who were assaulted by a large group of juveniles. joe holden reports. >> reporter: police swarmed the 1600 block of walnut street in center city just after 6:00 saturday. investigators say a group of teens assaulted as many as a half dozen people. an off-duty police officer detective and his wife were caught up. both punched. the detective's bone was fractured. an eyewitness who did not want to go on camera told cbs3 the teens four or five dozen had crowded around 17th and walnut. he says he heard a scream then watched the teenagers run there was traffic, jump on cars and randomly hit and punch people
