collection in all center city stations starting at noon today. fares are collect before the platforms because of the busy travel. also in the world of the has transit, there we go, mass transit, all septa services running a sunday schedule on thursday. septa city buses, trolleys modified on friday. patco special schedules today. that is today through friday. new jersey river line has been running a sunday schedule on thursday, jim. >> thanks, meisha. millions of the americans are taking to the roads, rails, skies hoping to reach their loved ones for thanksgiving. >> triple a says more than 48 million people will journey 50 miles or more between now and sunday. we have team coverage this morning trang do live at 30th street station but we will go to "eyewitness news" reporter jan carabao live at philly international, good morning, jan. >> reporter: rahel and jim, good morning. i spoke to a tsa spokesperson here at philadelphia international airport and he is reiterating that this morning to arrive at the airport two hours early because folks can expect very long lines.

case in point the line is new growing here in terminal e before, remember this line was not existent. people were getting through security checkpoint easily but now it is 6:00 a.m., shore people are arriving, trying to get out of philadelphia for their thanksgiving dinner to see families and line is growing. so just be weary of that coming into philadelphia this morning. you will want to be two hours early to get your parking spot to get checked in and to get through the lines, but with that said the departures board is looking really good right now. everything for the most part on time, only a couple of delays out there. specifically here in the philadelphia area more than 500,000 people will hit the road, rails, air waves and most of these people will get to their destination by road tripping 50,000 people in the delaware valley will fly, including these people. >> traffic wasn't bad on the way down which i was surprised. we have tsa so we just get right through. >> yeah, yeah. >> upset a lot of people.

busiest travel days of the year no matter what time you hit the road. our coverage of the thanksgiving getaway continues throughout the morning and when in the on the air we are always on line cbs philly.com, head there for more thanksgiving travel tips. in other news, two people suffered minor injuries in the the fire on the 3,000 block of swanson street this fair hill. the fire broke out at 3:00 this morning. it was under control in less than a half an hour. up investigators are on the scene looking for the cause of the blaze. one of the suspects from the home invasion in south philadelphia didn't get very far. police found him handcuffed to a fence. two men broke in the second floor apartment on the 200 block of west ritner street last night. they pistol whipped a 25 year-old male and one of the suspects got away with the duffle bag full of items. but a man who works as a security guard came home, and caught this second suspect, and handcuffed him to the fence. investigators are exploring various leads in the explosion of the package in the center city apartment. authorities say a bomb went

off after 60 year-old jim alden opened up a padded envelope in his rittenhouse square apartment yesterday. he is now lee covering. officials believe somebody targeted him but they are in the yet saying why. in bucks county authorities file additional charge these a pizza shop ronry. cassidy ramos and robin soto are charged with robbery and conspiracy to commit robbery. police say sotoys mother of the two robbery suspects and ramos is the pregnant girlfriend of one of them. police said they served as look outs during the robbery at the pizza shop in levittown last week. the customer shot both suspects, one died at the scene, the other remains in critical condition. well, president-elect donald trump is backing down from some of his campaign promises, that is coming up later. but first, meisha has never reported on a traffic jam quite like this, a bull, yes, real bull, racing through streets of the center city. find out where it came from. there are 400 kitchen fires reported every thanksgiving, up next why you

welcome back our weekend watch is up next, and right now it looks like a pretty tame weekend at overall, for saturday and sunday. for many it is a nice long extended holiday weekend. we will see showers thursday and friday but saturday and sunday look good. we can expect temperatures to be close to average in the low to mid 50's here in the city, guys, back inside to you. katie, thank you. now for newspaper headlines from across our region. >> from the intelligencers pennsylvania attorney general bruce beamer says there is no evidence the that government employees who swapped sexually explicit materials through office e-mails under mind administration of justice. new report flagged 38 people as high volume senders, of in a rope eighth e-mails. thirteen of them were senior government officials or judges at the time. from the trentonian two trenton men were arrested tuesday morning after they allegedly took a stolen toyota in a tree and fence outside the former side of the emily fischer charter school.

people, this thanksgiving, holiday. we have more advice before you take the planes, trains and automobiles head to our web site at cbs philly.com for thanksgiving weekend travel tips. this morning, chattanuga police say they are strongly considering speed as a factor in the school bus crash. five children were killed in that wreck. jonanthony walker is charged with five counts of vehicular homicide. according to arrest records he was traveling way over 30 miles an hour speed limit before the crash. mother says her daughter told her that the driver asked the children if they were ready to die moments before the crash. twelve children are still hospitalized. meanwhile the community remembers five children killed in that crash, this was the scene last night outside a church where prayer service took place. is there a growing memorial near the site where the crash happened. that crash has left a debate about whether seat belts should be required on school buses. head of the national highway traffic safety administration, says that seat belts like the ones in your car should be on

school buses. the agency estimates four children die each year in large part to school bus crashes. seat belts may reduce those deaths the by half. >> we know that seat belts will save lives if we put one for every kid on every school bus and they show very good in roll over where you might be eject if you didn't have that belt. >> regulators say it will cost between 7300, to $10,000 on each bus. and. we just found out that south carolina governor nicki haley has reportedly accepted president-elect trump's offer to be ambassador to the u.n. president-elect is taking a break from planning to celebrate thanksgiving holiday with his family in florida. in an interview with "fox news" retired neurosurgeon ben carson has confirmed that mr. trump has offered him a position in his cabinet, including the role of the secretary of housing and urban development. that word came after president-elect met with reporters and editors with the
