it was actually looking busy around 4:30. >> it was, and now at 6:00 that much closer to 7:00. main hour of the rush. so give yourselves extra time. i won't say it again, no promises, probably say it again in ten minute, but give yourself extra time this morning. >> just one of those rough starts to the day as it is. so, just to get you out the door here, we look at storm scan, first and for most, obviously the wet weather is going to overtake the radar here. some of it starting to look a little bit steadier. mainly been a light rain so far for the western counties. but now, as this actual core of energy gets ever closer, the moisture content is bill willing up, ending up with steadier heavier rain, in fact, between philly and dc, and only will continue to fill in. so we eventually have to deal with pretty soaking rain at time, and this is kind of how the bullet points pan out, guys. the rain is already here for many of us. but if you have start to see the raindrops, just give it this next hour. and it is going to over spread the region. soap, clearly, rain for your morning drive.

soccer team are on board, now learning of the survivors. there are five survive offers, three apparently are soccer players. the charter plane had a total of 81 people on board, the soccer team was on their way to play in a championship match tomorrow. earlier reports suggest the plane had electrical problems, again, this is a plane crash in columbia, brazilian soccer team on board. and jim, speaking of that, this is the last picture of that team posted on twitter just before the crash. you can see the team there smiling, as they pose for the camera. this morning soccer teams around the world are offering their condolances. very sad story overnight. >> meanwhile, local news this morning, sad news in philadelphia's mayfair section, 14 year old boy is shot to death, just weeks before his 15th birthday. >> "eyewitness news" reporter jan carabeo live mayfair, with more on what happened last night. jan, good morning. >> reporter: rahel, jim, good morning. police tell us, they're now searching for two male suspects. they also say they're searching for a reason why this 14 year old was shot and

killed in the middle of the street here in this quiet neighborhood in mayfair. take a look at the video. police were called out to the 6200 block of rouse avenue. right around 9:00 last night. they found the 14 year old victim in this street, shot three times, in his chest and stomach. police rushed him to aria-torresdale hospital for treatment, where he was pronounced dead short time later. detectives are now interviewing witnesses, and searching for surveillance video, and they say the teenage victim did not live in this neighborhood, but his last known address is just about a mile and a half away. now at this point police have no motive for the shooting, but investigators do believe they are looking for two male suspect. >> this is mainly a residential neighborhood, the intersection of rouse and devereaux streets. it is normally a quiet, nice neighborhood, well kept neighborhood. we did find some private surveillance cameras in the area. detective right now are trying to see if these cameras recorded anything that could help us with this homicide

investigation. unfortunately, at this time, police don't have great description of either of the suspect, they also don't have a god description of the vehicle the suspect were last seen in. and at this point they are not yet lee releasing the name of the young victim, rahel, jim, just 14 years old, just weeks shy of his 15th birthday. reporting live in mayfair this morning, jan carabeo, cbs-3 "eyewitness news", rahel, jim, back to you. >> very sad story, thank you. >> meanwhile, police are investigating after a woman pushing a stroller was hit and killed by a septa bus in center city yesterday. authorities say the baby believed to be about six to eight month old is going to be okay. investigators tell us the victim was in her early 60s, was crossing the street at 23rd and chestnut, just around 5:00 yesterday evening, when she was hit by the route nine bus. she died at the scene, no one on the bus was hurt. well, a student at the ohio state university goes on stabbing rampage, ending with his own death, and injuring 11 other.

somali born razak ali artan plowed into group of faculty and student with his car as they were standing outside for a fire alarm. the 18 year old attacker then began stabbing people nearby with a butcher knife. investigators say artan recently posted on facebook saying he was sick and tired of the way fellow muslims were being treated. the council of american islamic relations spoke out against the violence. >> we would also like to urge everyone not to jump to conclusions and to let investigators do their jobs. responding to such a senseless act of violence with hate is never the solution. >> now an university police officer quickly put stop to chaos shooting and killing artan. eleven people were hospitalized. one in critical condition. >> green party presidential candidate, jill stein; now working for a recount of pennsylvania's presidential election results. stein asking the court to step in. but it is unclear if they'll have the authority. that's because election official say there is no evidence of voting

you had mentioned, down in gatlynnberg. rain strolling through the area. so hoping that this will be very beneficial for that area. obviously is millions of people affected by this very large storm system. we bring it back though to the very local level. pretty much the whole region starting to fill n look at how the rain just overtakes, over spreads the radar here, in the west-most suburbs in the last hour or so. this is kind of going to be the story all day. now along the eastern seaboard, right along all of the atlantic coast counties here, you are looking good right now. trying to beat the rain, probably have another window, half hour to 45 minute or so. look at november in total though. there have been whopping three days of measurable rain that total up to not even half inch. so, today's rain, and tomorrow, combined, very likely going to far exceed what we actually have already seen for one thing, and probably put really good chunk of a dense into the deficit we face. looking at rain here, talking solid one, maybe up to

updating breaking news out of columbia this morning investigator on the scene of deadly plane crash, amazingly five survivors pulled from the wreckage, three are believed to be soccer players, the plane had a total of l one people on board. the soccer team was traveling to columbia to play in a championship game tomorrow. and adding to the heart break, there are reports that the team was either forced to change flights or planes at the very last minute. now the team posted this video on their facebook page last night before the team boarded the plane. you can see, many of the players and team staff checking in, while on board, one member of the team posted this picture, on social media. believed to be the last picture of that team. >> well the second day of mourning for fidel castro, than will end with a rally in havana. thousands of people have gathered outside the plaza of the revolution to pay respects to the former cuban president. many world leaders, how much, won't be going to castro's funeral. including president obama, and

vice president biden. leaders from canada, great britain, russia, are not going either. castro died last friday. he was 90 years old. >> police this morning are looking for two suspect in the shooting death after 14 year old boy in philadelphia's mayfair section. the teenager was found by police with gunshot wound to his chest and torso. it happened around 9:00 last night 6200 block of spouse avenue. they rushed the boy to aria-torresdale hospital where he died. he was shot and killed just a few weeks shy of his 15th birthday, of course anyone with information should contact police. and over in wilmington a ninth grade is her shot while waiting for the school bus. >> this happened around 6:45 yesterday morning in new castle county. after he was shot, the 15 year old boy jumped on the school bus as medical help was called. eyewitnesses say they saw at least one shooter with a white mask opening fire then running off. the student from john dickinson high school is being treated at dew point children's hospital. it is unclear what the motive was. >> well, no deal. the philadelphia teachers union reject the latest offer

getting you out the door with what you need before you hit the road here. and the amount of time it will take you, but, with that said, yes, the rain currently over spreading pretty much the entire delaware vale. see on the tail end of the loop kind of getting heavy quickly look at the storm system in its entirety, maybe try to zoom it out one time, maybe not so much. so, this is close enough. what you will find out there, is that this is just a train of moisture leading into our region through the entirety of the day. so it is all day today, likely a break, through the overnight, probably between 11:00 p.m., seven armor so, then we get through the entire event wednesday night, and even into early thursday morning. with possibility of over an inch and a half maybe locally two plus inches, maybe even up to 3 inches, of worth while rain, for many of us. so, with that said, where do we stand right now? we check in with the eyewitness weather watchers. rain just started so you only have couple of hundreds every ann, not even that, being reported from john in perkasie, phil in philly. fran is in nottingham, lou out

in eagles ville. everybody has the same amount simply because we've only had about an hour and a half or so worth of rain to actually trackment looking quickly at the map, finding a lot of warmth. even far north, finding temperatures into the 40's right now. so it certainly is too warm for anything but rain. even in the mountains. no light. no snow. just rain. so that's good. you don't have to worry about any slick travel in that regard. but, still want to be careful as you travel all day today, and even into the overnight hours, catch lull in the action, there is likely to be some fog that redevelops. look at these temperatures, i mean, flirting with 70s tomorrow. that's a trade off if i ever saw it. however, not much sunshine to enjoy here in the days ahead. but we will brighten up nicely, to round out the week, meisha, over to you. >> katie, even though we only have little bit every rain so far, i can tell you, that we have a lot of problems on the roadways. so, first, accident here. now pulled all the way off to the shoulder, blue route southbound past baltimore pike. again that's pulled off to the shoulder. so it isn't going to slow you
