parents are not supposed to bury their kids. it is a real stunner, real shocker to us. >> reporter: bobbies struggling to understand why someone would gun down his 14 year-old step grandson ian wilsey. police say the teen was with his friend at 9:00 walking to a corner store for chips and soda. that is when two men approached and one opened fire at corn are of devereaux and brow youse. >> it is senseless. >> reporter: philadelphia police are working around the clock interviewing potential witnesses and searching for surveillance video, description of the two suspects is vague, and so is a possible motive for the attack. >> it is a possibility it was an attempt robbery but also a possibility that maybe there was a prior conflict between these two groups. >> reporter: friends cannot believe outing northeast high school freshman who loves football is gone. >> he took me inside player's room and said your friend ian got shot. i am like, i just could not believe it.
