traveling, yes. >> yeah, right. >> swing true, drive through get a doughnut while at it. >> let's show you what is going on out there. who took the sky line. basically gone at this point because of the low lying cloud cover, fog is settling this and we have an update with the dense fog advisory we have been talking about this morning. it has been expanded. for new we are at a balmy 56 degrees, light wind, plenty of moisture though and that is going to allow that fog to form which we will get to but as we look more at storm san three rain is on the way too. it is an issue of fine mist or drizzle but mainly fog which again has over taken our entire region here. the whole region is in that advisory until 9:00 this morning for wrist built that could drop under a quarter mile in fact. we have definitely seen that, already. it is patchy, but it is dense, so i want to you use caution. this should dissipate by 9:00 in the morning because rain will come in. you need to go from one

problem to the next and these issues come through in separated chunks. from fog to rain and through hid morning maybe a little bit of a break any wet weather because it becomes more scattered toward evening but later tonight another round of heavier rain is scheduled to cross through and that is when we will likely end up with a couple thunderstorms. we will track this with more detail later on, meisha. >> we are all standing by for that because we need to know especially how our morning and evening commutes are going to look. right now what we're looking at is busy roadway, we will give yourself some extra time. what we are seeing is a disable vehicle i-95 north before girard, moving northbound it is typically southbound side i keep my eye on right now. we're talking about northbound side but it will be busy nonetheless. we will see flashing lights still very dark, just a heads up. moving in the southbound direction you can see cars whipping by. we are still traveling at posted speeds on i-95. that is a great time pushing in the southbound direction, i

will advice giving yourself extra time. on the vine moving in the westbound direction, just jumping off the schuylkill, far right lane, getting backup trying to get on the schuylkill. eastbound side you are starting to heat up as well. then we have an accident, we have been talking about these accidents scattering the roadway getting cleaned out the fairly quickly. this reek will went in the ditch here in delaware. route one northbound at 95. we have a streetlight down on 295 talking shore about that in a bit, jim, over to you. >> two police officers get in the violent struggle, and are bitten by a suspect in kensington. >> "eyewitness news" reporter tabg do is live outside police headquarters with more, trang, what can you tell us. >> reporter: these two office are male and female officers have bruises but they are expect to be okay. they were taken to aria frankford hospital, to check out those bite wound but here's what we know about what happened. these two officers were on routine patrol around the intersection of k and venango.

they saw a man looked like he was breaking in a honda parked outside a garage there. he was in the car when officers approached and chief inn peck or scott small says he started punching, kicking, head butting those officers when they tried to take him in custody. he bit both in the hand and arms breaking their skin and drawing blood. >> any time, someone is bit, it is potentially very dangerous. it has to be thoroughly, thoroughly cleaned and this particular, three two-year old suspect arrested, this person is well known to the police in this area for not only selling drugs but also doing drugs. >> reporter: despite their injuries these officers were able to take that man in custody. this morning he faces charges of resisting arrest, aggravated assault and potentially face charge of theft. but for now we are live from police headquarters i'm trang do for cbs-3 "eyewitness news". back to you.

in other news this morning, this is 14 year-old ian wilsey a teen shot and killed monday night in mayfair walking to a corner store with his friends. teenager was a freshman at northeast high school and police are reviewing surveillance video in hopes of the finding a lead. coming up at 6:30 a family member and lead investigators speak with "eyewitness news" pleading for someone to come forward. well, police want you to take a close look at a sketch of the sexual predator, here it is, a man is matching this description is wanted for sexually assaulting a woman in camden. she says he assaulted her in an empty lot on the 900 block of south third street on sunday night. surveillance camera captured, this white van, that the the suspect was driving. if you have any information, call camden county police. septa and one of its bus drivers are cooperating with investigators after a fatal bus accident, linda procasino of cherry hill died in the accident which happened monday afternoon. the bus driver had a green light as she pushed her

grandson in the stroll era cross 2300 block of chestnut street. while bus struck her while making a left. infant was unharmed, procasino's neighbor learned of her death when visited by a reporter. >> it is just an accident, i said is she okay. he said no, she was killed by a bus. that was kind of a blow. i feel very czar i for her family. >> police say bus was full at the time but you no one else was injured. well, cbs news confirms with senior transition officials that president-elect donald trump has made four shore cabinet picks but he still hasn't chosen some of the biggest cabinet positions. cbs news correspondent roxaneasaberry got the full story. >> reporter: mitt romney emerge from the second meeting with president-elect donald trump singing his former rival's praises. >> he won the general election, and he continues with a message of inclusiveness and bringing people together.

back on "eyewitness news", dozens of people inial bam air grateful to be alive, a community center in winston county alabama was flattened just moments after a tornado warning was issued for the area. >> many people had just made it into a storm shelter right next door and that shelter survived the storms. seventy people jammed themselves into that shelter meant to hold only 40.

storms are blamed for three deaths and nearby jackson county is there now to a developing situation in tennessee wild fires continue to rip through resort town of gatlinburg destroying nearly everything in its path. >> three people died in mass evacuations are underway. two brothers escaped flames with only the clothes on their back, this is cell phone video of them trying through wall of flames, again as we have said at least three people have died, hundreds of homes are destroyed and 14,000 people have evacuated. it looks like a bomb went off in several neighborhoods take a look at burned out damage, fire fighters say drought and hurricane force wind have been fueling the flames, but rainy weather today should help. by the way this is largest wild fire in that state in 100 years. well, it took a marine biologist to answer biggest question in huntington beach, california. >> that question was what the heck are these strange sea

creatures. take a look at these things and see if you know what they are. apparently slimy little slow moving creatures turn up all over the beach this week. beach goers were mystified and quite frankly grossed out. >> i saw a picture on face back and said that is some kind of jelly but i don't know what it is good like a jelly fish. >> i think they are jelly fish. >> the life guard were trying to figure out what they were. >> here is the answer a marine biologist at cal state licensing beach said they are species of sea cucumber, washed a shore by last week even's storms. he said they are home less. i don't understand sea cucumbers is that like chicken of the sea, okay. >> you know what, that brings out my inner lucille ball and just go wow, wow. no thanks. it looks like moving chicken cut lets, doesn't it. >> yes, it does. >> okay, anyway, cucumbers it is, we will go with it.

>> we have a lot to discuss, guys so let switch gears here as we look at what our weather pattern is doing. still very unsettled. we have separated parts of the day that havetive rent impacts. the right now this is fog. off in the distance technically we have city sky line, you cannot see it. i was questioning are we actually looking at city sky line? you cannot see any hint oven the top of the sky scrapers, let loan rest of the city, it is a very, very foggy start, dense fog to expand until 9:00 . here comes next round of rain. that will get through the course of 6:15ish or so. next 90 minutes to two hours or so, maybe up to three further north east you are but that is first round of the rain coming through late morning into the early afternoon and then later tonight we will see actual cold front with this much larger cold system crossing through where heavier thunderstorms come into play. marginal risk, lowest on the totem pole for most of our

on, i heene 14 year-old boy. it is just senseless. >> reporter: anyone with any information should call police. in the meantime there is a go fund me page set up to help with the teen's funeral cost. we're reporting live out the side northeast high school, jan carabao for cbs-3 "eyewitness news". >> thank you. new this morning two philadelphia police officers are being evaluated, after they were bitten on the job, police say officers were trying to arrest the suspect, caught breaking in car on the 1200 block of atlantic street in kensington. officer managed to arrest suspect before going to the hospital. they are expect to be okay. there is now a $25,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of the driver in a hit/run that claimed life of the young girl in overbrook. that driver struck and killed eight year-old jayanna powell, 63rd and lansdowne, fraternal order of police, pledged 15 think dollars in reward money in addition to $10,000 from the mayor's office.

jayanna's mother is pleading for that driver to come forward. >> it may have been an accident, i just don't know. i just ask you to turn yourself in. i had to lay my baby to rest yesterday, hardest thing in my life. >> police believe driver involved in this hit and run was driving a silver nissan altima if you have any information contact the police right away. strange story police hope you can help them track down this conn artist caught on cameras at the warehouse in mantua gloucester county. suspect asked employees to break seven, $100 bills into 20's. store employees say he managed to pocket half of the stack of 20's but slight offhanded before draining the other half for full amount in canadian money. he pocketed half of that stack too and took back his original $100 bills. if you recognize him police want to hear from you. isis is claiming responsibility for the attack at ohio state university. authorities, excuse me, say their evidence suggest it was a lone wolf attack.
