nothing to report. let's throw the current conditions with the satellite over top of this. it is sort of splitting the region in two, far enough north, nice and clear, allowing places like the poconos to cool down very efficiently. so when the rain ends eventually, yes, some snow actually gets here, those are the spots that you're very likely to see the sleet or the snow. and it will have an opportunity to actually accumulate, and we will track this in a lot more detail for you as the show goes on. so let's just gave you a sense of how the day will pan out here. eventually rain will pick up. not this morning, the morning driver not impacted by wet weather. in fact, probably don't even have much sun glare in most spots, the clouds will have built in. so that's kinds of best case scenario for you. through the afternoon the rain will be developing, the rain will continue into tonight, in philly. current temperatures, yes, it stands out like sore thumb in mount pocono, 23, more like 30's elsewhere, in the city with the rain moving in, my advice is this: take the umbrella with you when you walk out the door, you will be thanking yourself later on, meisha?

first told us about, flames race through apartment building in northeast philadelphia. you are looking at video just in to our news room from the 4500 block every frankford avenue. we know three people were transported to the hospital. there is no word yet on their specific injuries. this blaze reached two alarms with flames shooting from the second and third floors, just learned firefighters did bring it under control within the last 15 minute. reporter trang do is redded there right now and will bring us live report as she gets more information. and we continue to follow more breaking news, new jersey state police are investigating a crash that killed one of their own, and another driver. >> both died when their cars collided head-on last night on route 55, in millville. "eyewitness news" reporter jan carabeo live at the state police barracks in port norris, where troop remembers mourning the loss of their colleagues. jan? >> reporter: rahel, joe, no doubt, this will be an extremely tough day for the new jersey state police. officials have confirmed,

overnight, that the troop here was killed late last night, is 31 year old franky williams, this was his assigned barracks, coming to you live this morning from south jersey from the port nor its station. williams was a member of the 156 police class, and had just graduated in january of this year. now, this was the scene early this morning, take a lock at this video, a solemn salute from state police, as trooper williams' body left cooper university hospital in camden. williams was flown there, late last night, for treatment, but could not survive his injuries. now, the 31 year old was involved in a violent head-on collision, the crash not only killed the young trooper but the driver of the other car, as well, you can see, the mangled wreckage in the middle of state route 55 in millville cumberland county last night. the crash happened right around 7:00, for some reason, a man driving a toyota corolla crossed the grass median, entered the northbound lanes. that's when the corolla and the marked state police car collided. williams was responding to a call at the time.

again, he died at the hospital. the other driver died at the scene. that man's name has not yet been released. now, this morning, police are conducting a full investigation, and they're trying to figure out exactly why the driver of that corolla lost control, and crossed the grass median, colliding with the police cruiser, who will bring you any up to dates as soon as we get them. as williams, atlantic county native, only on the force for letters than -- less than a year. reporting live in port norris this morning, jan carabeo, "eyewitness news", rahel, joe, back to you. >> still so many questions jan, thank you. >> new this morning, investigators searching for the cause of this house fire in lansdowne, delaware county. you can see flames coming out of the second floor of this home on nyack avenue. the fire broke out just before 11:00 last night, and it took firefighters almost an hour to get it under control. there are no reported injuries. >> a teenage boy is in critical condition after a shooting in the city's germantown neighborhood. police say it happened last night, around 8:15, and bern

hill park ashley street. the 17 year old was shot in the head and hip. investigators say the victim's wallet and cell phone were also stolen. police now looking for a white van that could be connected with that shooting. >> police in upper darby township are looking for two people who terrorized a woman during a late night laudromat robbery. surveillance video captured the crime around 4:00 a.m. yesterday morning. happened at the lawn dough mat on marshall video. terrifying video, employee working when the attackers attack her, shoved her to the grounds, ran off with $500 in cash and $100 in coin. police say they're relieved nobody was hurt. >> the best thing is nobody got hurt. the victim didn't have a chance, because she never saw him. you can see in the video, she doing her work. the store's open 24/7. so the doors are open, they walk right in. >> well, police want to find these guys, and are offering 2,500-dollar reward for information on those two robbers. philadelphia neighborhood is keeping a closer ion packages, and the thieves who

are stealing them with many packages left on stoops. police and neighbors say thieves are taking advantage of homeowners not being home. many neighbors in northern liberties have set up surveillance cameras, hoping the images the cameras catch will help police catch the culprit. >> me and my wife have our packages sent to work. so we just sent shipping address to the work because we know we can receive packages reliably there. >> and some homeowners are also posting messages for delivery people. officials say the best way is to send packages to a locker for pick up or family members who will be home. >> jill stein's fight continues, the green party has yet another day in court in philadelphia this afternoon. the party is appealing to city commissioner's rejection to allow an examination of the city's voting machines. yesterday, in front of trump tower, in new york, stein called pennsylvania the election system, quote, a disgrace. her legal team filed federal suit in philadelphia.

and transition team. president-elect has not mentioned what role the two could have in his administration. the death toll has now climbed to 36 following this tragic warehouse fire in oakland, california. all of the victims bodies have been recovered including a sheriff deputy, 17 year old's son. now, families of the victims want to know who is responsible. here is edward laurence. >> mourn nerves oakland gathered near the site of the burned out ghost ship warehouse overnight. offering hugs and lighting candles in memory of the victims. >> i'm only 15, and i don't know what they're going through, but i can feel for them. >> a lot of artists, a lot of people who have been pushing and pushing and pushing, were all at the wrong place at exactly the right time. >> have gone through roughly three quarters of the building retrieving 36 bodies so far. they're also working closely with federal investigators, to preserve evidence as part of a criminal investigation. >> the range every charges

from 2006 can be used in his sex assault trial. the judge gave the okay for the damaging testimony to be used in his upcoming criminal case. bill cosby testified in a civil suit filed by andrea constand ten years ago, after she accused him of sexual assault. the judge ruled cosby was never promised he would not be criminally charged. and will decide if prosecutors can call 13 accusers as witnesses. >> south carolina prosecute is her vowing to retry a former police officer charged in the shooting death of an unarmed black man. yesterday, a judge declared a mistrial in the case against michael slager, after the mostly white jury reported it was dead-locked. the former north charleston officer caught on video last year, shooting walter scott multiple times in the back, as he was running away. winter weather advisory goes into effect today. >> and katie will be here to tell us which commute could be impacted this week. we're also following a developing story, in
