dedicated, mostly this is just a part of their routine, and they are not going to let 30 plus degree temperatures stop them from doing that. instead, what they are doggies just simply coming out prepared, and like myself they are wearing gloves, they are wearing layers. i have on several layers under my jacket, including a fleece, a sweater, another fleece, and you have on scarves, many of the runners i have seen have on hats and thick socks as he will. look at the video we shot earlier this morning, people were rowing along the river, you saw ducks, people running with bikers outs here, all enjoying this brisk weather. it is perfect for any type of brisk activity where you are running and working up a sweat but most of the folks that i have talk to, who are most dedicated runners say that this weather is nothing compared to what they have dealt with in years past. >> with the polar vortex, you

natural snow, part of the region but we have manmade stuff, flying here up in the poconos, all ski resorts taking advantage of this good pattern in here. cold, dry is what you want, to manufacture snow. snow guns looking good there putting down a good base, big boulder and jack frost, boulder is open, frost is not but they will reopen real soon with these ideal snow headaching conditions. make two to 4 inches of snow in the poconos later on tonight. it is cold enough to support that snow. seventeen in mount pocono. dew point temperatures very low so that is what you want to get that snow, that snow gun is really working. twenty-six in allentown and reading. thirty in philadelphia struggling to get near freezing. is there milder air to the south and west, st. louis at 43. freezing in lexington right now. storm system that will eventually bring some milder air in here but ahead of it it will be a little snow and freezing rain for the area but still a lot of cold air coming back into canada for second half of the week. check this out, 46, it the is where we should this be time of the year. today that is not happening.

we will struggle to get to the mid to upper 30's if we're lucky. tomorrow, slightly above average close to 50 but by end of the week, another shot of arctic air colder then what we are dealing with right now. we will struggle to get to freezing in the afternoon temperatures. ban of light snow breaking out ohio valley, trying to move into central pennsylvania. after a very dry, so this is evaporating before reaching a ground. we could get light snow showers in here this afternoon north of the city, not amounting to anything. precipitation will start to fill in, over the ohio valley, later on today. that moves in here tonight. that is the main event that we will watch. and then the potential for late tonight into early monday morning, poconos, two to 4 inches of snow. then freezing rain. there could be light ice accumulation in the mountains overnight. berks, lehigh veil, we will see snow. maybe up to an this much, before that change over to freezing rain, late tonight, and then eventually all rain, as we warm things up, even in the northwestern suburbs. we will get into bucks, montgomery county, northern chester county, and light snow, change to go freezing rain and all rain. there called could be a minor

ice accumulation but it does not take much to cause problems. this is mainly late tonight and early monday morning. philadelphia south and east it stays all rain. check it out. not a whole lot happening this afternoon. dry, cloudy, couple light snow showers. here comes the steady precipitation overnight. 2:00 a.m. monday, you can see the rain from the city on southward, and then, again in the snow, northern bucks, montgomery, lehigh valley, freezing rain in there mixed in and then we will get that warmer air pushing in. even in the poconos, we will see change over to all rain and eventually early monday morning, so monday morning's commute should be mainly rain with temperatures above freezing. that is good news there. that rain out of here by monday afternoon. you can see snow accumulation potential, well north of the city, you can get into northern chester, and montgomery, bucks county, a little bit of a coating possibly a inch in the least high valley and potentially two to four or 5 inches of snow in the mountains. temperatures today, we're staying in the 30's all day long and then they will slow liz climb, 4:00 a.m. close to 40 degrees. temperatures keep rising

we have a good start to your sunday weather-wise cold but quiet throughout the day. tonighttive represent story as we have seen in our next storm system bringing around on snow and ice to parts of the region. temperatures well below freezing, that cold arctic air sticking around and then starts to lift out of here later tonight. weather watchers in the backyard still reporting temperatures at or well below freezing in a lot of locations. we will head north and west to the city, michael riley's house overcast sky, 26 degrees in sanatoga and we will head out west of the city to downingtown, dawn, she's also 26 degrees under mostly cloudy skies, hospital -- hopped over the river in new jersey, 26 degrees. the good news is win is calm

but heading outside we need heavier coat and gloves especially staying outside for an extended period of time. pretty quiet. we will go to the shore where we are seeing overcast skies, live look at ocean city, and we do not have that. right to storm scan three and you can see clouds overtaking the region. we have had a few peaks of sun behind this morning but you can see light snow showing up to our south and west. some of this isn't reaching the ground, probably lower susquehanna valley, york county, pennsylvania, a lot of the snow still east van rating very light stuff. main event is not until late are tonight. precipitation is filling in the ohio valley later today. still enough cold air initially to support some snow, even freezing rain. into this afternoon, just light snow showers mainly north of the city, not amounting to anything but later tonight as we head toward midnight light snow, treeing rain develops, north and west, don't go too far north, rain for city and areas south and east but by early

monday morning temperatures will rise. everybody just sees plane rain and then comes to an end by late monday morning. it will be a mild day thomas temperatures make a run at near 50 degrees. it is high pressure over us right now locking in the cold air. we have cloudy skies, moving in, and here's that steady precipitation moving in overnight 1:00 a.m. you cane steady rain around philadelphia, just to the north, treeing rain, and even some snow and then changing over to all rain up in the poconos. by early monday afternoon we are dry, clouds break up a little bit, cold trent moves through, we will bring in colder air for middle of the week as far as next arctic air mass arrives for second half of the upcoming workweek. snowfall amounts, you have to go far north northern bucks or montgomery county maybe a coating. an inch this is lehigh valley. poconos could see two or three or four or 5 inches of snow depending on how quickly that warm air returns before it changing over to all rain. ice amounts, that is where we will to watch, especially in the poconos, lehigh valley,

less than a tenth of an this much but doesn't take much for light ice accumulation to cause problems. we will see that ice probably as far south as northern chester and montgomery and bucks county as well. so take it easy travel late tonight, very early on monday morning. but by rush hour temperatures should be well above freezing every where, stuck in the 30's, today, that is it, well below average, 10 degrees below average and then tonight 3:00 a.m. or so temperatures will start rising and warm front moves through. that is why we will get a change over by 7:00 a.m. poconos above freezing. we are seeing all rain for monday morning's commute, that is a good thing. monday afternoon near 50 degrees, maybe some lower and mid 50's south of the city, enjoy that because it all comes to an end by mid of the week. and then on thursday we will get another strong cold trent moving through. this is arctic blast number one, even colder then one we are dealing with right now. ten to 15 degrees below average. we will struggle to get to near freezing for afternoon temperatures by end of neck week. eight the high today. mostly cloudy. light snow.

wheelchair. >> reporter: doctors say hip replacement was the only solution but with no insurance, rose ann could not afford the operation. >> you don't have insurance and nobody wants to help you or take care of you. >> reporter: except if you are lucky enough to be accepted for operation walk, 80 patients like rose ann around the country get free joint replacement surgeries. >> it hads been a wonderful experience. >> reporter: monica ectheart says the medical center says donating surgeries for two patient that is would normally cost about $40,000. >> it is part of the mission to give to our community, and the gift of mobility what more could you give somebody. >> this project is the best blessing anybody could ever have. >> i feel like i got a second chance of life. >> i did get a second chance of life. >> reporter: now with her parents rose ann is planning a big, christmas celebration with the spirit of the season giving having special meaning. >> gratitude is beyond, beyond. this is the biggest, biggest who will take christmas
