i'm rahel solomon. a lot of weather to talk b lets talk about the traffic and check on the roads, with katie and meisha. >> good morning. >> lots to talk about in both weather and traffic right now, just because you will be dealing with the slippery conditions. but i have to say what a surprise it was to see snow, up there, i have loved it. >> yes. >> you are from sweden. >> yeah, okay, all right. >> it really was pretty. with that being said don't get mad because i'm your teammate today. roadways are looking okay. you just want to take it easy, all of the reasons katie's talking about. >> at least we are done with it. >> i saw that one. it is great. so, okay, snow is gone, and left behind a little dusting i do think that more than anything you'll be dusting off your car windshield for sure but it isn't having a very easy time leaving behind too much slick weather. that is good.

make it snow, check this out we will go off to the poconos and wind whipping around as well. pocono resorts are clearly loving this, and we're going to continue to see this throughout the course of the take paw even once sun comes up even though we are going to see additional snow other than a flurry here and there, they have got the cold. so i'm sure they will continue to really build up that snow pack on the slopes here throughout the course of the the day. now, we will go to another camera shot, eyewitness photos, little dark but obviously sun's in the up yet but cbs-3 on this windshield our own executive producer steve lindsey took that photo the owe for us here early this morning giving a shout out to the team but storm scan three again in the last few hours you can see that squall pulling away, mainly fail south east that we ended up with any accumulation with very modest but out there. there were a few spots that had an inch out of that squall. here's what it feels like right now, guys, even since last check it dropped 4 degrees in philadelphia. remember feels like value is

we have a accident at route 41 at route 47 in new jersey. take an alternate route 55 or black horse pike. also, ac expressway between route 42 and black horse pike we have salting operations. head up on that. jim and rahel, back over to you. if you like snow and frigid weather you you are in luck but if not you have to deal witt. >> okay, jim. >> just laying it out there. >> "eyewitness news" reporter jan carabao is live in collinswood new jersey with more on the arctic blast, good morning, jan. >> rahel and jim, good morning. we are coming to you live just off of haddon avenue knew on woodlawn avenue in collinswood and it is very cold. someone who doesn't like the cold so much i'm inching to get back in that live truck. you can see that the snow is stopping here right now but you can also see behind me here that the snow that fell overnight is stick to go grassy areas and some cars, in this area. you can also see that the sidewalks, and the roads are cleared and cars are getting through with no problem at all. however, because temperatures are now falling, by the

police believe the two men were looking for an easy target to see anyone get attack but a seven three-year old victim, it is just sad. it is a shame in today's society you have to worry about. that your mother goes to the casino to enjoy herself and he gets a phone call that she's rob. the she's shook up but we're glad she's not hurt. >> two men sped off in an suv. they have their license plate number that we are showing you here. police are asking for help with a name and location to catch the suspect. anyone with this information should call bensalem police. yahoo is urging users to change their pass word this morning after 1 billion accounts were hacked. the it is world's biggest cyber hack. yahoo says stolen user account information may have included names, phone numbers, possibly account pass word, security questions and answers. this breach happened way back in august of 2013, internet security experts suggest that the stolen information makes yahoo users vulnerable elsewhere. >> being able to access that information is probably what

is most critical because it is a stemming stone into other it's. even if that person doesn't keep their financial information or medical information, on line by having credentials and logging in it is easy to spoof that person, easy to act as that person. >> yahoo is working as law enforcement officials to find out who or what is behind this breach. they are warning users from down loading attachments from suspicious e-mails. in other news president-elect donald trump continues his thank you tour in pennsylvania today amid revelations about russian cyber operation aimed at influencing the 2016 election. here's hena daniels. >> reporter: u.s. intelligence sources tell cbs news that russia's medaling in the 2016 election could not have happened without vladamire putin's blessing saying quote orders to to it would have had to come from the highest levels. the development comes just days after the cia assessed russia sought to influence election to help donald trump win. claim that the president-elect, continues to

welcome back everyone "eyewitness news" cameras were out overnight in center city where snow was falling. this is was the scene around midnight on broad street. not the snow but the arctic cold, that really impacting us. katie's putting finishing touches on her forecast, she's typing away over there like a crazy person, we will see it in just a minute. well, a rare snowstorm hits portland, oregon bringing the city to a halt. >> how about 4 inches of snow, fell yesterday afternoon catching many people off guard. this as delays dismissals and pick ups. school buses and parents were stuck in traffic on snow covered roadways. at one point teachers and students were stranded with in where to go. >> i know that one bus was stuck on the freemont bridge

for several hours and so an alternate bus has been called and that is what is on its way now. >> i have never been held up in a school, before, so that is new. >> he is traumatized. >> but finally arrived, just five hours later. well, in milwaukee right now people are dealing with frigid temperatures as well. the cold snap isn't stopping some folks from doing their jobs. these bicycle couriers are laying up to get the job done. they have to ride against the wind. the as you can imagine it makes their commute extra tough. and, thunder snow, in buffalo, that is a real thing. that is just part of the wild weather there where arctic cold and lake effect they have have dropped 10 inches of snow, and created white out conditions which you can see here. some cars were stuck in the snow and needed to be pushed out, that is when you need a good friend. >> as long as we don't have this, i'm with you but if you

say this is coming anytime soon i'm leaving right now. >> thankfully, it is not. >> thank you very much. >> so we did have a snow squall that brought even in some spots an inch worth of accumulating snow overnight, that has since moved out to sea. but, that was all part of the bigger picture in the grand scheme of things, this arctic cold front, that is currently crossing through and these temperatures are starting to crash, even in the last hour, in philadelphia, we saw our feels like value drop 4 degrees and that is over a course of the hour. we will start off by looking at wind gusts, current gusts, out in allentown you're flirting with 40 miles an hour gusts and that makes it feel colder. it feels like inning is will digits, through these north and western most suburbs and even more like it the is sub zero in the poconos. in philadelphia it feels more like it is about 20 degrees or so, but obviously, this is chill we have not dealt with and i want to you bundle up, adequately. this gets worse before better.

here's how it feels tomorrow morning. i would say between midnight 6:00 a.m. tomorrow morning, it is the coldest time frame. this is how it feels, sub zero in spots, guys and thate techs thousands of us, so i really need to you make sure thaw are taking this seriously. we deal with this kind of cold every single year it seems but when it does hit us be smart about it, all right. taking a look at nationwide view, here's that storm we saw, snow coverage out in oregon that is the system that will go across country and move here and bring our next shot for snow. there is a lot of moving pieces but this is a good outline specific to philadelphia but saturday after 1:00 this is morning snow will be moving in as a warm trent lifts this but because it is coming overnight it start off as snow and we have cold air to support. that by 7:00 in the morning give or take it is changing over to sleet, freezing rain as temperature hovers near freezing mark and no later then noon time it is all turning over to rain. that is not just city but every where.

quickly looking at few tour snow amounts. by midday hours of the saturday you might have clothes to a half foot of snow but eventually turns over to snow, too. in philadelphia, couple tenth of an inch, that is it. here's your seven day, very, very cold initially. warming up to seriously this weekend but we have that storm system on the waste too, meisha. >> look at sunday 54, katie, wow, that is quite the jump. waking up to very cold, temperatures today, just make sure to like katie says, bundle up, pack that extra blanket, time to think about our emergency kits, have adequate gas and all that good stuff. vine was closed overnight for construction in the westbound and eastbound side. we are looking at eastbound side starting to heat up quicker, but over all the vine, you will be looking all right. blue route southbound at mid county dealing in the southbound direction, we're looking good. really good on the blue route. we have some salting, ac expressway between route 42,
