having hope feels like. >> a lot of people are talking what first lady michelle obama said in her final one-on-one interview at the white house, does she want future in politics and her message to the future first lady, milania trump. we begin with a horrifying scene after a truck rams into a popular christmas market in berlin, i'm ukee washington >> i'm jessica dean. tonight, we know 12 people are dead. and as many as 50 injured. take a look at a live picture from the scene outside the kaiser church. eyewitnesses said the incident was deliberate. germany authorities continue to investigate. white house condemned what it says appears to be a terrorist attack >> witnesses said 18 wheeler showed no signs of stopping when it plowed no a crowd christmas market in the germany capitol monday night. american said she was just feet away from its deadly panel. >> i saw a truck barrelling into

a crowd of innocent people tonight. looked like an accident. looked like the truck jumped the curb and was going fives and got out of control and sort of just swerved into the market. >> it went just past me, past my girlfriend. it missed me by three meters. >> germany police arrested a suspect believed to be the driver near the scene. another man found injured inside the truck later died. the truck had polish license plates. the owner said he feared the vehicle driven by his cousin was hijacked. u.s. officials said the incident bears the hallmarks of the terrorist attacks in nice france last july that killed 86 people. in november, the u.s. state department urged americans to be cautious in markets and other public places because extremist groups, including isis and al-qaeda were focusing on the holiday season. >> president-elect trump released statement calling the

tragedy in berlinly germany are far from the minds of some shoppers >> i was there two years ago in berlin. i'm half germany >> theresa used to work at philly's christmas village and has visited the market now riddled with death in destruction in berlin. like most, it's hard to shake the mitchells after a truck plowed through the crowded christmas market monday. 12 dead, nearly 50 injured in what the white house is describing as an parent terrorist attack >> sadness, because the germany people have really opened their arms to refugees and done all they could, you know, to help peace and this is what happens, it's sad. and berlin itself is a very diverse community. very peaceful. >> reporter: philadelphia police stepped up security on the heels of the attack >> we've increased patrol in terms of again, just what this type of incident happening, you have to be mindful, we can't be

correctional facility. police arrested him late last month after a nurse said she found child porn on a cell phone given to her by kennedy. detectives say he admitted saving the pictures. at this point, officials have not said how kennedy died. philadelphia police are searching for a handful of suspects they say are responsible for a violent home invasion caught on camera. that attack happened monday laundry 3:00 a.m., three armed men can be seen pushing an elderly man inside his only home and the 100 block of west godfrey street. another man acted as a look-out. the victim and his wife just returned home and their son believes they were targeted. >> they had to have been in that for some time. knew they were going to be home at that specific time. >> this comes as authorities continue to investigate at least a dozen other armed robberies target asian owned businesses in recent months. kids excited to get their

up gifts. the mt. holly police department wrapped up hundred of gifts as presents were collected during the annual toy drive they will and delivered to ten families in that community a toy drive inspired by a little girl being treated for kansas at children's hospital of philadelphia >> got much bigger than anyone ever expected and ca was delivery day. a convoy of toys arrived way police escort. jillian massy who has brain and 69 spine and cancer. she wondered about all the kids that couldn't go home for the holidays. sassy massy toy drive is the name. >> so many people supported this cause and we can't thank you, everybody enough for what they've done want they're going to be doing. >> when asked about chop jillian doesn't talk about the hospital. she says that's the place she goes to play and she wanted to

stormscan 3. pretty dry stretch through the week. in fact, it looked like thursday might be the day to pick up wet weather, now looks like the chances of that are diminishing, possibly a rain or snow shower, but pretty quiet stretch. it's 20 in allentown, eight in mount pocono. 22 in reading. feels colder than that when you factor in that breeze, which is about five miles an hour from the northing feels like 20 in philly. 18 in in atlantic city and around eight in mount pocono. about what the thermometer tells you. seasonal pattern. keep the cold air, that black hole of cold locked up in portions of canada up in the arctic region. but us we got a little bit of a buckle in the jet stream thursday as the next system comes through. then you see those line starting to rise as milder air begins to slowly work its way in as we head toward the christmas holiday weekend. quiet weather pattern the next few days, sunny skies, is snow warming trend and we'll keep an eye on the chance for late week showers. the time frame would be thursday
