and check on the roads with meisha. good morning. >> good morning, i can't wait, my gosh, i can't wait. roads are looking good, nice and dry, heating up little bit, especially 95, we will be talking about that coming up in a little bit. justin, how is this? >> not much happening in the weather world. pretty quiet. >> nice, easy, i kind of pick me feet up back in the weather center. you know that's going to happen probably few more weeks, really crank up these, but it is cold, colder than yesterday. but at least we don't have the wind. so little bit more bearable to be outside. i tell you, taking advantage of this cold. look at the poconos, snow guns cranking here, live look at big boulder, all of the resorts, ideal snow making conditions pretty much around the clock up in the poconos, cold air in place, but actually getting warming trend. but excellent skiing, riding conditions coming at us this week, leading into up come coming holiday, temperature change compared to this time yesterday. nine in mount pocono, so that cold dense air able to settle

in. cloud cover yesterday. this morning, clear skies. little heat we had yesterday, just goes right back up to the atmosphere, so that cold air just moves in. fourteen in allentown, 4 degrees mount pocono. that's not factors in the breeze. 17 degrees currently in trenton. and suburbs, look at that, 10 degrees at this hour in quakertown, 12 in pottstown, good news here, with the winds, they're light, 5 miles per hour or less, calm in reading at this hour. windchill values, yes, colder, 13, what it feels like on exposed skin in philly. twenty in will mink ton, minus five mount pocono. good news, nice and dry, no threat of any precipitation throughout the next several days. locked into high pressure over us. this morning, clear, cold, temperatures, into the 20's, and teens, some of the suburbs there is afternoon, not bad rebound. sunny skies, cool for this time of year, upper 30s to about 40 degrees for the afternoon high with the sun, 41 at the shore, low 30's in the poconos, meisha, looks like you wanted to hop in there and take over the weather little bit?

>> i'm doing traffic for you friday, so you want to switch early here? >> i saw 40's, i had to jump in. i couldn't even take t i thought it was like a real sunshine, just wanted to hug t looking at the boulevard, switching in the southbound direction, looking good on the boulevard. jumping on the schuylkill, how much, i'll tell you, looking a lot like this, but it was really busy yesterday. it will be another busy one today. i can tell you that right now. looking at the construction 95, north and southbound at cottman, left lane blocked, both directs cents, both moving in the northbound and southbound direction, than one lane that we lose, pushing, i mean, predominantly in the southbound lanes, that's really where we will see the slow downs, northbound side not too worried, that being said, northbound side did get busy yesterday, as well. heads up on, that plus construction, pa turnpike westbound between downingtown, valley forge, right lane blocked there. and also, 42 northbound between 130 and walt whitman bridge, one to two lanes blocked until 5:00. so more construction out there. new jersey turnpike northbound near the delaware memorial toll plaza, left lane block also until right about right

now, a lot of this construction should be clearing out of our way right now in including no, not this one, 59 south the ramp to 896 southbound. >> this will be closed through the afternoon hours, just after our rush, nine al to 3:00 p.m., for paving project we were discussing yesterday. jim, rahel, back over to you. >> meisha, thank you. investigators in germany are now saying the truck crash that killed a dozen people at a christmas market in berlin was like lay act of terror. >> cbs news brook silva bragga more from new york. >> german investigators move the front section of the mangled truck this morning as they work to confirm motive for yesterday's deadly crash. authorities now believe the driver of the 18 wheeler intentionally plowed into central berlin crowded christmas market. >> this amateur video shows the chaotic aftermath, as bystanders tended to the injured. two people lying on the floor with broken limbs, they were going to be okay, i saw one guy being dragged away with blood on his face. >> police questioning the

suspected driver, who they arrested not far from the scene, they are also looking into whether the truck was hijacked from a polish construction site, an unidentified polish citizen was found dead inside the vehicle. the owner of the truck says he hasn't heard from the driver, his cousin, since yesterday afternoon. monday incident follows similar attack in nice, frank, in july, when truck mode down rebelers watching fireworks on bastille day. isis claimed responsibility for that attack. last moth the us state department warned americans traveling europe to quote exercise caution at holiday festivals, events, outdoor market, after isis encouraged lone wolf attacks on soft targets. law enforcement officials have now stepped up security at christmas markets in major us cities. brook silva bragga, cbs-3, "eyewitness news". now, following that tragic event, people are noticing phillies on display of pop up shops similar to the one attacked in berlin. >> that's right. increasing security at the christmas village, trang, good morning. >> reporter: well, good morning, rahel, jim. people who come to the christmas village today and throughout the week expect to see a lot more police officers patrolling through the market. it doesn't open until 11:00 a.m. but we've already seen several police cars, in addition to the security guards, who are on duty. smiling faces all around at philadelphia's christmas village, now in its ninth year. in the place that inspires this cherish philly tradition, heart break, sadness, and berlin police investigate what they believe to be a terror attack involving a truck to a popular christmas market in the city center went past me, my girlfriend, missed me by 3 meters, missed her by five. >> just sad n berlin itself is a very differs community, very differs, very peaceful. >> back in philadelphia the tragedy hits close to home, for christmas village shopper theresa. >> i was there two years ago, in berlin, so, yes, and i'm --

"eyewitness news" juan the 6,000 block of guess bye street where crews responded after 30:00, we just spoke with fire chief who said one firefighter suffered minor injury. so far no word on a cause. police are searching for the identity of woman found unresponsive on a street in the fair hills section of philadelphia. the woman was discovered around 11:30 last night, along the 2700 block of north third street. she was returned to the hospital, and is now in critical condition. police have no suspect so far. no motive for the attacks. police hope security cameras captured an image of her attacker. >> well, investigators are looking into the cause after deadly crash on the new jersey turnpike. chopper three over the scene around 9:30 last night in mt. laurel. authorities say a pick-up truck that was heading southbound struck a person working on a disable tractor-trailer. that person died. a second person was taken to

the hospital with serious injuries. police charge man with robbing a woman in front of germantown super market. also another victim, victim told police she called for security, but robbery suspect brian tate err, shown here, then tried attacking her with large stick. she pulled out her own revolver and fired two shots at him. one of those shot ricocheted offer the ground, and struck >> teachers and staff in delaware county donating school supplies out of their own pockets have, been collecting supplies for the chester upland school district for the past two months. representative for the teacher says that many of them often have to spend their own money on basic supplies. >> this is a district that really needs it. they are under working under very difficult conditions, doing the best they can for their kids every day, spending their own money on school supplies, so their colleagues across chester and delaware county wanted to show their support and their appreciation for what they are doing. >> in all they donated

officer, the ambassador was several minutes into his speech at photo exhibition, when he was shot and killed. the gunman condemned russia's military role in syria as he pledged to carry out jihad. >> then i saw people running away in panic. russian ambassador on the floor, on the ground, and we could not tell if it was lifeless or simply injured. >> now, turkish minister says the shooter was part of a riot police squad for the past two and a half years. he was shot and killed during a 50 minute shoot-out with police. well, three people were injured when a man opens fire inside a mosque in zurich, switzerland last night. gunman escaped, but police say, a body found near the shooting may be linked to that attack. so far investigators have no motive for the violence, but they are collecting evidence from the scene. new this morning, the chinese government returns to the u.s. underwater drone they

seize in the south china sea last week. pentigon said they would continue to investigate what they call the unlawful seizure of the drone from international waters. the incident has further strained ties between china and the us. the china ministry of foreign affairs denied his country sold the drone, saying, instead, they discovered it, during a mission at sea. >> college has cast their votes electing donald trump as the 45th president of the united states. michelle has the latest from the white house. >> reporter: electoral college voters convened in state capitols across the country, and officially voted donald trump in as the next president of the united state. >> texas now sends president trump over the top. >> but protesters did their best to get the electors to vote for somebody else. it was a last ditch effort to stop mr. trump from becoming the president. >> the point of this is just to make a show and be legitimized when trump.

roads and the skiles, across much of the eastern half of the united states. 19 degrees palmyra, new jersey, nature park looking across the water, cold start this morning, winds back off little bit. windchills not as bad as yesterday morning. winter, tomorrow morning, officially 5:44, that's when the sun is farthest south from the southern hemisphere, shortest amount of daylight, nine hours, 19 minutes, 582nd, we made it, after that thursday we start to increase the daylight hours as we head toward the summer season. all right, temps, look at it, all across the region, lower teens in south jersey, 22 millville, 19 at the atlantic city airport, look at dover delaware checking in at 20 at this hour, 21 newark, then around philadelphia, upper teens, voorhees, mullica hill, 20 vineland, 14 chalfont. some of the suburbs through the north and west, 12 degrees in pottstown, ten in quakertown, four up in mount pocono. storm scan3, nice and quiet. left over clouds, sitting just off shore.

a loft sunshine in our forecast coming at us this afternoon, so cold start this morning, we get to up about 40 degrees, close to average this time of year. look at much of the eastern half of the united states, nothing happening. you don't see this whole lot during the winter season. high pressure dominating the mid-atlantic, the east coast, will be in good shape for the next several days, one weak system coming through thursday, yet looked like it had little more moisture to bring some showers in here, now it doesn't look like it, looks like little weaker, drier, clouds around thursday. make it through the work week on the dry side, friday again same story. looking ahead to christmas weekends, christmas eve day, upper 50s for the high. clouds around. maybe sprinkle in some locations, looks like christmas day for the most part does stay dry. 50 degrees, christmas day night. monday, looking at the next storm to bring some showers around at this point. forty for today. mostly sunny skies, still on the chilly sidement tonight again cold, not as bad, 28 in the city being colder out in the suburbs, here is the extended forecast not much happening. forty-five tomorrow.

mid and up 40's through the rest of the week, again, this is next week, temperatures well above average, into the lower 50's, right, smear. >> all right, justin, sounds good. that actually sound pretty nice. thank you so much for. that will good morning, happy tuesday. for those waiting for the vine to open, good news, thumbs-up, it is all looking good. ill however say that even though it is looking little busier, only little bit past 5:00 right now. you can see both moving in the westbound and eastbound side. we are starting to heat up westbound jumping on the schuylkill, looking okay. once you get on the schuylkill, but take a look at eastbound. early in the 5:00 hour that's good indicator that will get busy on the vine, maybe what we typically see. then also southbound 95, really where i keep my eye, northbound too. construction going on. left lane blocked both moving in the southbound and northbound side. really the southbound direction, keep my eyes on right now, you can see the cones kind of littering this lane. the far left lane. both sides, really going to slow you down, just the loss of one lane on 95, pushing in the southbound direction, that can really slow you down, so
