than average. >> you have been watching the numbers. >> yes, crunch them all, right? >> exactly. and we certainly had very warm christmas last year, who could forget that. we ended up hitting the 70s, the six off's as we approach and hit the holidays, those are not the kind of numbers that we are talking about here. let's walk you through it here. overall very, very tame forecast. i love forecasts like this, especially, because so many people will be traveling in the days ahead, now, i know many of you have been dreaming of a white christmas, but let's be honest, tough to travel when there is a white christmas. it looks like that is not at all in the cards for us based on the temperature profile and just the atmosphere set up in general. looking at storm scan, you have got clouds overhead. really. there is some sun filtered through it, not indicative yet of anything to come. we do in the have wet weather in the forecast for the next couple of days. overall we expect some sunshine, you are going to find clouds along the way, too, much like what we've got out there now, but staying mainly dry. gradually warming.

really getting off to very quiet start for this season as a whole. now, looking ahead, as we take you day-by-day here, looking at the jet stream pattern, separation between the code he is and warmest air, what you notice happening here, specifically, by christmas day, in fact, is the jet stream off to the north. in other words, start to see those brighter shades, the yellow, the orange, the red contour lines, nudging further and further north. and that allows of course the warmth to build in here. that will be reflected in the temperatures, so talking low 50's here, as early as sunday, leading into the early part of next week. so whether we do see the next storm system come along, won't bring us anything but plane old rain. meanwhile for now, very quiet, not as cold either. high hits about 45. drop it back down into the low 30's tonight, under partly cloudy sky, stays very tranquil. we have eagles game to talk about here coming up tomorrow night. 38 degrees at kick off. not terribly atypical with the value. you will start to notice a little hint after breeze, but, not necessarily any kind of major wind issues, certainly not wet weather problems
12:19 pm
either. but let's talk about those christmas numbers from last year, christmas eve ended up 71 degrees, christmas day, 68. we are walking around in the short pants this same time last year, crazy, right? we actually only fell below 32 degrees twice last december. so far, this december, we've done it nine times. very likely will do it again before the month is all said and done here. outside we go to a spot that i wouldn't say is necessarily perfect beach weather right now but it is tranquil outside beach patrol headquarters in marching gate. meanwhile, they are breaking out the skis here at blue mountain, just one of many views like this that i think we will see through the course of the winter. nice to see them actually out and about and enjoying the ski slopes. meanwhile let's look at the seven day, shall we? again, kind of modest, talking low 50's, granted, above average. by tuesday by solid 10 degrees. and other than a shower on christmas eve, mainly in the p.m. hours, few more on monday, it is very, very quiet. jim, back over to you.
