i know a lot of us dream of a white christmas, not going to happen. but not a bad trade off. >> a lot of times, we had white christmas, 2009, ann of snow on the ground on christmas day, all right, columbus boulevard, queen street, again, taking out both lanes here, due to the water main break, you can get around it, ramps to 95 are open. so just be aware of that boulevard, no issues, big travel day across the region, weather our favorite for sure. do have accident still to deal with around the willow grove mall center avenue easton road, westbound, between ft. washington, norristown two, lanes blocked. further to the west, another construction zone on the turnpike right before downingtown. right lane remains blocked. >> manhunt is over, we're learning that the berlin christmas market attack suspect anis-amri has been

killed in police shoot-out in milan. the shoot-out took plates at 3:00 a.m. during routine police check. the italian news service ansa said amri pull out gun from his back pack after asking to show his identity papers killed in the ensuing shoot-out. the police officer was injured, italian interior minister said the man killed is without a doubt, shadow after doubt, ani-amri suspect in the berlin truck attack monday that killed 12 people. >> deadly apartment fire has left one person dead, displaced nearly two dozen people, authorities responded to the scene just after 1:00 a.m. four # hubble street pottstown. victim found on the second floor. eyewitness told about 20 people are not back into their houses no word on the cause of the fire. >> new this morning, woman

shot at home invasion in the kensington section. police say a 20 year old woman opened the door to the apartment, and one tried to shoot her. her roommate and three year old son were home at the time. police looking for the suspect. hundreds of people looking for the roads, rales, and headed to the skies. >> philadelphia international airport packed with people this morning. bethlehem. up, here we are, where we're facing south overlooking the lehigh university campus, moravian college right there in the for grounds, all being taken from hotel bethlehem. so, lovely shot, one of my favorites. specially this time of year. they always do up the town so beautifully in the downtown area for christmas time. but we are, how much, expecting to see a new system move through here. we will talk about the timing on that in just one second. but also checking in with our diehard eyewitness weather watchers hey may be a holiday, still up and atom, i love it, we do have handful of temperatures into the two's right now. let's take to you couple of these, in fact, we go just outside of the city, to 30 degrees, where bill is reporting in cart inning ton, closing in on the freezing mark, but nice clear sky, allowing for that temperature to drop off easily. and granted, you don't want to forget your hat and gloves. you won't be hugging the winter coat that much tighter. it is not as harsh today. going bit further off to the north, take to you 26 degrees comes in this morning from john jenkins, nice clear sky for him out in the perkasie

area, one more, zoom it in so we can get to these. couple of folks that observe into us from cherry hill, so they tend to be little tighter together on the map. but jenny is in cherry hill at 30 degrees, she has got the nice clear sky, also sent us couple of pictures, one of my favorites she sent is just beautiful shot of her christmas tree, lots of presents starting to stack up beautiful, and of course waking up early guys, recording into us. meanwhile, we look at storm scan locally all cam, very collected, you have the nice clear sky. but all do you have do is zoom out one time and see the next big thing that's the next system streaking across the mid section with a variety of pack, talking about this being a rain event but because it looks like it comes through little sooner, early morning hours of tomorrow, you conned up with icing, poconos, specifically because the temperatures will be just cold

enough when it gets to you otherwise mainly rain folks but periods of it, some little steady between the hours of 8:00 and noon, then any time after lunch, it is clearing out from west to east so the shore is the last place to see the rain before it is all out of here, thankfully out of here not just for hanukkah festivities but santa's ride that night, christmas day being brink withing it sunshine and beautiful weather. monday looks good for kwanzaa maybe shower tuesday morning, still mild, mildest day of the pack here looks like. >> yes, look at the pattern, unbelievable that for this time of year. looks like signs every colds air maybe coming in for the weekend. >> onramp to 309 southbound, highland avenue, getting by, not causing any problems here. fifty-nine northbound, southbound, delaware county, right around 452, good shape right now. probably going to go downhill little bit later on this morning. herly traveled area, blue

route, but in good shape right now, we do have to deal with the columbus, the boulevard, southbound, again, as well. you have to remember that water main break still getting currently, both lanes taken out around queen street. we take to you an accident up in lansdale, north line street, east fifth street. new accident here. still have the accident zone right around the willow grove mall. center avenue at easton road, convention zone route 130, 244 -- route 44, abbottsford road, at fox, closed until late february. alternate, queen lane to get around that closure. then couple of construction zones on the turnpike, both westbound, first one between ft. washington, norristown, two left lanes taken out. then further west you go, on the turnpike before downingtown, the right lane is also blocked this morning. so far so good area speeds running at the speed limit. 476, 95, the boulevard, vine st. expressway, no problems

state newspapers, did not come up for final vote monday after intense backlash. a man was trapped for 12 hours on a side of the road after his car flipped over an embankment in butler township. now, just days before christmas, 52 year old brian smith sitting in a hospital bed after surviving the car crash that almost took his life. driving on interstate 81 saturday morning when his car flipped over, his phone no where to be found leaving him with no way to call for help. but he says he never lost hope. >> my family never gave up on me. , and they wouldn't. as long as you got something to fight for, don't ever give up. so. >> brian suffered four broken ribs, fractured ankle, and although he won't call this a christmas miracle, he says, he's happy this is just as good. >> happy he's okay and recovering. not even christmas yet, but santa has been busy making

in morrisville, bucks count. >> i morrisville police are on santa claus duty. "eyewitness news" was there last night at the morrisville police and fire departments, dropped off toys to a deserving family. santa claus even stopped by to join in on the fun. police officials say it is important to do what you can, for others during the holiday season. >> santa. >> we picked a family that was in need. you see that a lot of kids in this family, put together few presents, from our community, and we were able to give them a wonderful christmas, that you see these kids will have now. >> love to see members of law enforcement, and our fire departments out there in the community, doing amazing job, not only on duty but even when they're off duty. well, heartwarming tradition, in morrisville, and in many other communities, at this time of year. >> we've seen so much giving this week, especially with our "joy of sharing" toyfest, great to see the smile on these kids faces when they get something like that. >> good stuff. >> and now for a treat. >> here is a philadelphia boys choir performing angles we
