i have to give a shout out who ever it was who came out to the skydeck this morning and cleared the snow. i'm so appreciative of that. because i am not shaking in my boots literally here today. thank you to who ever did that. my guess dave grim? joe concern kern, our director, trying to bring warmth to all every us. thank you so much, joe. with that said, snow on the skydeck. start things off here, by also showing you different view from our very own rooftop here. this shot couple of additional stories up, on our roof, and we're overlooking right there, 15th street and vine. you can see, if you look closely enough, some of the snow blanketing the cars in the parking lot there. the sidewalks are looking generally clear. but make sure that you keep in mind it could still be slick out there. i would, you know, talking about the possibility of treacherous travel, no matter how you slice it, more of big fat nuisance, it is enough of a nuisance, with the poor
5:33 am
timing of the morning commute it, will mess with you. so hopefully you have the for thought to set the alarm early, thankfully the snow starting to push it way out of here, finding temperatures region wide, either at or below freezing across the board here. so it is not going to be a snow that has a chance to melt. you are going to have to remove it, like my buddy joe did for me on the skydeck, can't thank him enough. expect that these skies will continue to clear with time. however, take a look, we've got winter storm watch guys that goes into effect late tonight, for the coastal counties, from ocean, down to cape may, then cutting the bay, over to sussex county. for the possibility of some snow obviously into the weekend. so, that's going to be storm that's got a lot more question marks than this predecessor did. so we were going to talk you through the scenarios of this, what we might be looking at here just little later on in the show. meisha? >> all right, katie, thank you so much. so, two things right now, take it very very slow, and give yourselves extra time, of course, so with a we are looking at right now, the

5:36 am
and with calm winds over the next couple of hours, we could see some of the spots start to ice over, so you definately want to slow down and use caution. collingswood right now, starting to come to life. traffic picking up little bit. everyone kind of moving little slow. that's good to see. saw few people out on foot. saw a dog this morning already. he had his little jacket on. of course, with the salting of the sidewalks, and the roadways, want to be careful with your puppy's paws. it stings them. take it easy for pets, yourself and your commute in this morning with these conditions that are very slick and very wet. i'm live in collingswood. more coming up in just a little bit. >> all right, thank you so much, lawyer glenn the northeast seeing little bit more snow than other places. >> "eyewitness news" reporter trang do live in mayfair, with the latest on the conditions there. hi, trang. >> hi, jan, jim. i'm happy to report, just as katie predicted, the snow has stopped here in northeast philadelphia. and thank goodness, for that. but take a look here, people will still be having to deal
5:37 am
with the snow from overnight. take a look at the cars over here, two, 3 inches on top of the cars that will need to be cleaned off. fortunately for everybody, it is that really light, flurry snow, that you can just kind of push off your cars here. this is frankford avenue. you're looking at. you can see, you know, traffic moving at pretty good pace as the morning commute starts up here. but this is a good location to show you some things, because you can also see all of the little side streets off frankford. which have yet to be plowed. so you will want to be extra careful on those streets. you can also see the sidewalks also are a little slippery, just the fine layer of snow on the ground. but the road here, the imagine or roads in the city, looking pretty good. that will was not the case overnight, technically for i-95. we saw at least six accidents on both the northbound and the southbound side. this is southbound accident, a jackknife tractor-trailer, people tweeting me all morning telling me that they'd been stuck in traffic, for about two hours. so, fortunately, that has been

cleaned up. and people are beginning to get moving. but you know being out here, out in northeast philly, lot of activity, i spoke to several people this morning. just getting ready to start their day. and asked them how they're dealing with the snow today. >> this is nothing. this is, considering what we usually get, little late in the winter season to get started with snow. so i like it. i think it is great. >> and we're taking a look here, people just walking around, taking their time out here, going to the wawa, getting their morning coffee. one thing we do want to make note of, know, it is very slushy, and for now, i mean, that's good for now. but as things get cooler, i mean, definitely be some freezing, and so-so just taking it easy on the sidewalk as well as on the roadways. for now live in mayfair, i'm trang do, cbs-3, "eyewitness news". >> trang, you're absolutely right. first step out the door, the
