>> right now on eyewitness new news. new video that appears to show the gunman that opened fire inside ft. lauderdale airport on friday. this was obtained by tmz appears to be surveillance from the airport. we do not know how tmz obtaine obtained. it you can see the gunman nreech his waist band and pull the gun we chosen top freeze the video after this point. five people were killed including 62-year-old terry adndree.

the delta baggage claim area was reopened today. been ban the suspect is sketched to appear in court tomorrow. >> a giant sinkhole opened up after water main breaks. two vehicles were swallowed up i'm natasha brown thank you so much for joining us. imagine going out to your car and seeing it submerged in a giant hole. that's what happened today to two residents on east boston street in philadelphia's fishtown neighborhood. eyewitness news reporter anita ohe is on the scene this all started with a water main break. >> that's rite, natasha. crews are working to repair the sinkhole which as you mentioned swallowed up the two cars. they've been able to put those two cars out of the sink hole since then. cause imagine a lot of damage remains. >> reporter: it's really not something you ever expect to see. >> street ate my car.

>> we opened the door and saw commotion and looked down the street and my car was halfway in a sinkhole. >> that giant sinkhole measuring 40 feet by 60 feet swallowed two cars in the 200 block of east boston street and fishtown. >> it was a crash. everybody woke up. >> a 6" water main broke which flooded basements with water. >> there's mud and muck on the streets. >> shortly after a crew from the philadelphia water department arrived to work on it. >> as they were walking down the street, that little kia which is no longer a kia fell right into the street. >> that kia a year old belongs to alyssa banks. >> then i have no heat and no water and no car? it's not something expect to see when you on your front door on a major city. but the road was just cave in and eat a car? it's a little troubling. >> bennett daniels lost his 2004 subtrue forester to the sinkhole. >> disbelief but it was not our house at least nobody got

hurt. it's just a car. >> that's what the claims department is for says the spokesman from the water department who will work with customers that have property damage. >> it will go through the car insurance and then city from there. but you know we will work with everyone who had any sort of damage as a result of this. >> reporter: and another live look at the damage created by not only this water main break but also this sink hole. they've shut off the water and gas totten tire block about 15 customers are affected by this. no word yet on when all of this is scheduled to be cleared up. i just spoke to one neighbor that says he was told water and gas may not be on here until wednesday or thursday. that's the lightest in fishtow fishtown. i'm anita oh, cbs eyewitness news. >> also tonight officials in philadelphia are investigating the cause of a fire in city port richmond section. eyewitness news in the 2200 block of east butler where a fire broke out shortly before

4:00 this afternoon and we're told there were people inside the building at the time of the fire and everyone did manage to get out safely. also, the red cross is assisting dozens of residents displaced by an apartment fire in gloucester township, new jersey, flames broke out 10:00 at the lake view apartments at the lower landing road it took firefighters three hours to get the plays under control. we're told 50 residents were displaced and lucky there were no injuries. >> a woman and boyfriend are both behind boys this evening. two are facing charges related to the brutal murder of the woman's 14-year-old adopted daughter. terri greg from our sister station kyw news radio has more on the horrific details. >> the hours and days leading up to her murder were probably the most horrible and traumatic that any person should ever have had to experience. >> the gruesome details of what ended the life of 1

14-year-old grace packer are startling. >> the coconspirators bought poison and bow saw to dispose of her body once poisoned. >> 44-year-old jacob patrick sullivan of bucks country and girlfriend 41-year-old sarah packer conspired to kidnap, rain and murder sarah's adopted daughter grace as part of twisted sexual fantasy and suicide pact. they executed part one july 8 when they drove young grace and her pajamas to a home. >> she was punched and then tied up and hog tied and sexually molested and she was raped and also prior to this committed involuntary deviant sexual intercourse on her. >> duo later poisoned grace and strangled her when the poison failed. the teen's dismembered body was found in loseen countery park halloween. >> unfortunately grace packer was a disposable child to these

people. >> investigators say sullivan and packer began planning the murder in 2015. packer reported grace missing a day after her death which soon raised questions. after a three county investigation the break came on december 30 and miss sullivan attempted suicide and days late confessed. >> the question becomes who will remember grace packer and who will now speak for grace packer, we will. >> authorities say they will use all resources to bring alleged killers to justice. the da's office says they are considering the death penalty in the case. >> and in the news center, greg, kyw radio for cbs eyewitness news. >> sarah packer was arraigned in bucks county where she's held without bail. she has a tentative preliminary hearing scheduled for january 0. stay with us we'll be right back with lauren's very frigid brutally cold forecast.

>> i'm telling lauren i can't get the words out today. >> your mouth is froze ep. >> it's the cold weather. >> cold enough today? >> brutal. >> brutal. >> yes, cold temperatures and gusty winds on top of that. we started off with coldest temperature ever the season so far in philadelphia down to 15 degrees. our previous cold 16 last month and then the month of december down at 14 this morning in allentown and up to 5 degrees in mount pocono and our high temperature was also the col coldest of the season so far only topped off at 24 degrees today in philadelphia. and the cold, unfortunately will continue into our monday and lows fwhook teens and high temperature struggles to make it to 30. wind chills will be near zero, possibly subzero north and west of city and early tomorrow morning and we won't see the thaw until midday tuesday and temperatures rights now are bitter cold. 19 allentown and 18 reading and

19 in millville. and we still do have the winds. although the wind speeds will die down. that's good news as we head to the overnight period.. still a breeze up around 10 to 15 miles an hour having a big imact on feels like temperature feeling like 7 in the lehigh valley and feeling like ten in philly and feeling like three below in the poconos. so definitely felt like winter an a few of us saw a few more flakes flying through. storm scan showing us scattered showers that moved tlut pocono poconos, lehigh valley and berks county and those are coming to an end and mostly clear skies and he now in philadelphia above average snowfall for the season so far, 5.2" and average a little list than 5". as we head to overnight, no snow in the forecast. mostly clear skies, bitter cold. we'll get colder tonight and less wind. 14. so kind of double edged sword as we head to monday. mix of sun and clouds and high temperature 30. lighter wind speeds out of southwest 5 to 10 miles an

hour. we'll start with sunshine and we'll see patchy clouds through the afternoon. hours on monday no precipitation expected as we head into tuesday. mostly cloudy conditions. your morning commute is okay. even the evening commute and we see moisture building in and light sleet, freezing drizzle and snow showers late day on tuesday to the north and west of the city and maybe even a period. very brief period of light freezing drizzle in and around the city and tuesday evening and that's going to change over to all rain with warmer air mass building in as we head to late day tuesday. and that is going to push our high temperatures up significantly as we head he into wednesday a high temperature at 53 degrees and rain looking likely especially for the first half of the day and then on thursday, we're near a record high temperature. the record for the day is 58 degrees calling for 57 right now and we're still in the 50s on friday. mostly cloudy conditions and then temperatures take a tumble as we head knee next weekend and we'll have to watch for a chance of maybe a wintry mix changing over to rain as we head to day.
