"eyewitness news" reporter anita o live at police headquarters with more on what's been violent night here in philadelphia. anita? >> good morning, extremely violent night indeed. police are now attributing to the unseasonably warm temperatures that katie mentioned. we know two people are dead, and seven more injured, and multiple shooting scenes overnight. >> you are looking at video from one of the faith al shooting scenes on the 4500 block of melrose street in frankford. it happened just after 8:30 lags night. police say the 40 year old victim was standing outside after bar talking to female friends, when the shooter saw them from the window. that's when witnesses say the man walked outside, and started firing, execution style. >> we found seven spent shell casings, all within feet, some within inches of his body. so we know shooter fired at least seven shots from point blank inch. >> that was just one of the violent encounters thon unseasonably warm night. nineteen year old man is dead

after someone shot him at least ten times, from the 2400 block of 76 avenue off orgones avenue, happened after 8:00 last night when the victim was with his girlfriends. he describes the man in all dark clothing running from the scene. >> and philadelphia police have a lot more work cut out for them as they investigate at least four other shootings scenes overnight, and in these early morning hours. we also know that one of the injured victims, in one of those incidents, 71 year old man who police say was an innocent bystander, the latest from police headquarters, anita o. >> anita, thank you. meantime, montgomery county man accused of sexually assaulting a young girl over the course of four years is held on $500,000 bail police arrested brian of limerick township yesterday. the 29 year old is facing charges related to raping and sexually assaulting a child from when she was just nine years old until 13. police tell us the victim told a school counselor who then alerted police, monica's

preliminary hearing is set for february 3rd. members of one of northeast philadelphia oldest synogogues are taking a stand against recent act of vandalism. rocks smashed through several windows of temple menorrah in tack coal i -- talcony friday. at the town watch meeting last night synogogue members discussed when to do about these potentially hate filled act. the second time in under two month that a rock was thrown through their window. >> we believe it is a hate crime. it happens right before the service begins. we have no idea who is doing this, whether it is adult or kids, board of directors are very hot about the situation, and members of the synogogue were here for 40, 50 years, like their home, is being invaded. >> anonymous donor from florida offering $10,000 for the capture and coke vick sean of the person who broke those windows. and in less than two weeks before he begins serving his ten year prison sentence, a group of supporters for sat

a -- chaka fattah have sent group of letters saying the former congressman be pardon orthopedics. they site fattah's contributions to society and question the initial charges against him. a judge has denied fattah a's request to stay out of prison as he moves forward with his appeal. he was convicted on corruption charges back in june. he begins serving his sentence back on january 25th. >> us department of justice expected to release the findings of its report on reform effort by the philadelphia police department. the report on philadelphia police come the day after baltimore authorities agree to series of reforms mandated after the death of freddie gray. died in police custody. justice department will also report today on it investigation into the chicago police department. >> this morning, fbi director james comey said he's gate foul for an investigation into the justice department and the fbi. the inspector general of the justice department is looking into how both handled the probe into hillary clinton's

private e-mail is server. the department received a rash of criticism by the public and members of congress over the handling of the case, especially the timing of the fbi's release creating major controversy in the 2016 campaign. director comey says the fbi willfully cooperate with the investigation. >> today the house of representatives is set to take up a senate budget bill to speed up the end of president obama's affordable care act. the budget blueprint passed the senate early yesterday morning. the senate has instructed key committees to draft legislation to repeal obamacare. there is some republican anxiety over rushing the repeal without having firm idea of how they will replace the law. >> well, if you work in center city you might sit in rittenhouse square to have lunch better today. better watch out where you sit or you might get into some trouble. just this week philadelphia parks and recreation put up new signs in the park, telling visitors not to sit on the park walls. if you have been to rittenhouse square recently,

>> alaska airlines has called in their own hazmat team to check out a flight after three flight attendant taken to the hospital for mysterious illness. they fell ill from flight from see at toll san josement hazmat teams checked the plane, and officials cleared the scene. that's when alaska air called it own investigators.

two crew members were treated and released. there is no word on the condition of the other a ten can't. alaska airlines officials say exposure to proud fresh de-icing fluid is probably to blame. in arizona pair of good samaritans comes to the aid of state trooper while his life was on the line. the trooper responding to 911 call when he noticed overturned car on the side of the road, and woman thrown from that vehicle. when he stopped to help, a man ambushed him, shooting him in the shoulder, before jumping on top of him. the guy driving by saw what was happening, pulled out his own gun, called a suspect. another driver called for help using the trooper's radio. >> to the civilian on the gps trooper radio, if you can hear me, i need you to let me know where the suspect is that was in the altercation with our trooper. >> the suspect is breathing, shot by the passerby, right next to the officer. >> both the woman who was thrown from a car and the

of the way the cold front passed through. so it is starting to turn colderment as the morning progresses see the temperatures readings drop off more and more and more. wait until you see them. they are still very, very mild. right now though, not actually heck of a lot to report here folks. we did have few little modest sprinkles roll through in the last couple of hours, long suns begin to clear out, as the skies in general. the winds will also begin to pick up with time. it is not terribly strong right now. so, this nice little window of quiet, mild conditions, it is going to eventually end. as it tends to. weather pattern changes, the reason i can keep my job, right? so we continue to track these changes down the road, in the form of another storm system that at the moment isn't all that well defined, but you can see moisture building in here, the cloud cover, and the snow, and even couple of speckles every ice across the central planes, this is lifting into our region tomorrow. generally, midday. we are not expecting repeat performance from last weekends, but we are expecting specially through the southern say two thirds of the region,

to see the maniac tiff at this from this. if you go far enough north, pocono region, lehigh valley, you may get somewhat gipped out of. >> this light snow, wintery mix is the general expectation, would start south of the city. may be evening period of sleet as well. very minor accumulation, upward of inch max. so, it is just that fine little glaze that would or maybe just little dusting on the grassy surface, especially, coming off such a warm period here. 46 degrees is where we end up, leveling off later on today. so temperatures are dropping. and then tonight, as clouds rebuild, it is brisk, it is much colder, down to a more typical 29 degrees low. and at the home show underway here, not the worse excuse to go head it up. probably don't want to be outside in the light snow, sleet, even if it is a nuisance, 35 at best, then warming back up again next week. >> nice, nice that warm up next week. katie thank you and good morning. happy friday to you. we made it to the end of the work week. looking outside, looking at the vine right now. it is just opening in the

time, get there is out to the stats from yesterday, it was a banner day here in the sit i have of philadelphia. and granted we didn't even actually end upcoming close to the actual record, we hit 67 degrees, though, and that's much more typical of mid to late april. it was a solid 27 degrees above average. doesn't come around all that often. meanwhile, 52 the temperature currently at the airport. we're still at 60 in dover. again, don't get used to this. when we zoom out here, you can see, this frontal boundary really starting to work its way in. it is 20 solid degrees cold nerve columbus from now, and this is going to slice through our region, as women, and the temperatures eventually are going to begin to respond through the day. so we end up sort of leveling off into the mid who's later today. home show getting underway, as women. so with the chill, starting to settle in, too, good excuse to maybe go check it out here in the nice warm indoors. but, we are bottoming out here tomorrow. and that cold air comes just in time for a weak storm, meisha, but it will be nuisance every maybe coating to inch of snow and sleet
