back on "eyewitness news" and new this morning a manayunk woman is cooperating with police after they say she shot and killed a man who tried to enter her home. officers were called to the 4300 block of boone street before 3:00 to this morning. they say a man tried to entered that woman's apartment with scissors and she then shot him in the neck. woman is in custody as police investigate and she's claiming self-defense. also overnight a man is in stable condition after being stabbed in philadelphia's pop lar section. this happened here on the 700 block of north tenth street before 2:00 o'clock. the 54 year-old victim was stabbed once in the stomach, fortunately his injuries are not life threatening and there is no word just yet on who stabbed him. well, reputed drug kingpin known as el chapo is one of the most, is in one of the most secure lock ups in the country. joaquin guzman appeared in federal court in brooklyn as he he faces a long list of charges including murder, drug

trafficking and kidnapping. guzman pleaded not guilty to charges in a 17 count indictment. >> this man is destructive and murder us ways as a international narcotic traffic ker and a small cancerous tumor that grew, and went into a full blown cancer. >> guzman is held without bail, federal attorneys say the mexican government only agreed to extradite guzman if there was no possibility of the death penalty. all 22 people involved in the mud slide in california are now safe after being trapped in campground cabins, take a look at the damage left from this mud slide yesterday, in the campground. it was cause by nearby creek that flooded. mud slide swept away cars and forced cabins off their foundations. this is just a second in the trio of storms that stretched, through california. just some incredible visuals out west there, but for us we are not seeing very much moisture at all. >> not right the now but that

lets talk about what will happen? i mention that had batch of rain in the deep south starts to move to the the north today , and may clip us during the day tomorrow, like i said, not the main event, it is in the raining all day long sunday but in the afternoon watch out the for a few showers around, and here comes the strong storm moving out of the south central u.s., really going to energize as it approaches the east coast and slows down, gets cut off from the main jet stream and able to bring in moisture from the south and from the atlantic ocean. so good widespread rain across our region especially monday morning, into the afternoon hours, and there will be some good interior snow that probably northwest pennsylvania, upstate new york , heavy snowfall, from this system but temperatures, for our region just a little bit too warm. it will get windy as this storm tracks up the east coast the we are talking about coastal area that has seen most amount of rain, one to 2 inches on have rain for parts of the delaware and eastern, new jersey. the those wind could gust up to 55 miles an hour right along the coast. that will leap to potential for minor coastal flooding
