>> we got almost two feet of snow but the piece missing with this nor'easter arctic cold. it's been mild, so this is a rain and wind maker and that's about it. but moving up the coast and will impact the day tomorrow. here is your coastal low. starting to transfer its energy off the coast. you can see this big plume of moisture that come in along the northern edge and the persistent battering northeast winds picking up and continuing tomorrow and tomorrow nightly late tonight into the day monday, rain, heavy at times, looks like the heaviest will be monday afternoon. we'll have the morning commute. light rain and fog the afternoon commute will be plagued by heavy rain, one to two inches in the city and in philadelphia winds could gust as high as 50 miles an hour. of but conditions will be even worse down the shore. i'll take you through those and a number of watches, warnings and advisories for the area coming up ukee

>> the storm was deadly in several other stateses. in georgia, a twisted level add mobile home park. a tornado also touched down in louisiana. yesterday atornado struck mississippi killing four people. police bus a sophisticated jewelry ring in the delaware valley. investigators are recovering thousands of dollars worth of jewels. joe holden is live with this investigation. joe? >> reporter: good evening, this has been interesting to watch unfold at this jewelry store on jeweler's row. to give you a live look, as investigators from montgomery county police department sift through the contents of the safe they had to crack into part of this massive burgery ring. the police intercepted.

he said he could get rid of things make things disappear on jeweler's role >> abington township police and international experts in cracking safes worked around the clock inside v jewelers. court documents obtained by "eyewitness news" show the jeweler's row business was nothing more than a front. this location and three other places within a block are where stolen jewelry from a multi-million dollar burglar ring was nude. put a term used to describe a middleman. sources tell cbs3 police have been working to crack at least six safes owned byj az ad. tens of thousands of pieces of jewelry have been recovered from the burglary ring spanning montgomery, chester and new

we're talking about a powerful nor'easter bringing wind and heavy rain and also the threat for minor coastal flooding and possibly snow for the poconos, a little bit of everything with the system. let's take a look what's going on. we'll start you off in center city at a roof cam shot. sky cam 3, showing action but not too bad. spotty light rain and drizzle and again patches of fog overnight. it does look as though things will go downhill through the day. stormscan 3 shows the powerful system producing heavy rain to even the threat for tornados in portions of florida, almost looks like an eye developing as the storm strengthens. you can see the tight circulation over northwestern georgia. the heavy rain still hours away. but notice we are seeing pockets of rain and drizzle outside tonight. future water.

by 5:00 a.m. intensifies through the day. by 1:00, the rain picks up when the winds will be strongest as well as the system just off to the south and you can see the line of very heavy rain philadelphia light on through the shore points. the evening commute dealing with heavy rain and strong winds changing over to snow and sleet in the poconos and finally by late tomorrow night, heavy rain shifts out. let's talk about the wind. the wind advisory will be in effect for philadelphia and surrounding suburbs. high wind warning for the coast where winds could gust to 60 miles an hour. so in the wind advisory, that does include the city and surrounding suburbs, winds could gust to 50 downed branchs and wires are a possibility. bigger threat down the shore where winds could gust to 60 miles per hour. sustained winds for an extended period of time of around 40 miles an hour, that is a

constant battering along the coastal. downed trees, power outages and all the weather piling up along the coast for duration of 12 to 24 hours. wind gusts picking up. by 5:00 a.m. gusts over 40 at the shore. by 10:00. 50 miles an hour in south jersey. by 1:00 p.m. that's when we can start to see the 60 miles per hour wind gustses in south jersey. 48 miles an hour here in philadelphia and then it will gradually die down through tomorrow evening but it's not going to fall off quickly and it does stay breezy through tuesday. as far as rain is concerned we're looking around two inches, philadelphia and surrounding suburb, two to three for south jersey. the heaviest will be across central and coastal new jersey and the threat for snow. a winter storm watch for carbon and monroe counties, three to five inches slushy snow and sleet after the rain monday into tuesday morning, it is a mess. no matter where you are. the worst is down the shore.
