>> those elevators were not safe >> lawyers for lieutenant owens sued the firm that manages the criminal justice center to an elevator companies. the city says it's working on improvements to the elevates. authorities say one person is in custody in connection with a violent home invasion in philadelphia's chestnut hill section. a stolen hyundai elantra was tied to the break in has been located. philadelphia police say an armed man entered the home before going into the bedroom. he then ordered a male victim to stay in bed as he sexual assaulted a female victim in another room. the person of interest has not been charged. we you no know the identity of the man shot and killed by a wilmington police officer last night. investigators say 60-year-old broad street at berger was armed and behavioring erratically in the 1700 block of west 13th.

officerings say they tried to calm him down but he pointed a gun at them. that's one of the officers fired. that's when he died at the hospital. the officer who died is on administrative duty why while the investigation continues former chaka fattah will be in prison. he'll start serving the ten-year sentence after convicted on corruption charges involving a campaign loan. fattah has to surrender in western pennsylvania. he is appealing his conviction. a busy night at the white house, president trump is preparing to make an announcement on border security tomorrow. earlier he signed executive actions's refused to back down from voter fraud claims. >> the white house is standing by the assertion he lost the popular vote in the presidential election because as many as 4 million people voted illegally >> but so far, there's no evidence to support the claim.

16 out of the 24 days of this month have had precipitation. that's what, 2/3? 3.03 inches of rain, 4.9 inches of snow and one sunny day so far the entire month. 24 days in. here's the good news. tomorrow, two, sunshine on the way, clearing skieses, beautiful lots of sun and temps above average. scattered showers early thursday and thursday afternoon could be a stray sprinkle. we'll see sun. the wind will pick up and look at the lake effect snow. an indication of the colder air. winds die down as we head to tomorrow and ramp back up against thursday. we can see gusts as the front comes through. and that will kickoff a pattern change as the air has been locked to the north starts to shift south over the next week and into the start of february. the good news is even though that pattern with that colder air moving in will be more
