protesters are expected to pack streets as president donald trump arrives in philadelphia. >> the president is attending the republican congressional retreat in center city. "eyewitness news" reporter trang do is live outside loews hotel where police are on stand by, good morning, trang. >> reporter: yes, people can expect lots of congestion here , outside of the loews hotel, throughout the day, and take a look as you mentioned, police officers are on stand by. we have seen so many walking about, with k-9's, the barricades are in place, from yesterday, but a lot of dignitaries expect here today as we mentioned president donald trump will be here and british rhyme minister teresa may and likely thousands of protesters out here on the streets. protests kick off last night on the first day of the republican congressional cautious. members of the lb gt q community organized an opposition dance party. it all happened on market street outside of the hotel rooms of hundreds of republican lawmakers, in town

for this annual policy retreat with president trump in town today, demonstrations are expect throughout the day. police commissioner richard ross says his officers are well prepared. >> people have a general idea of how we deploy in terms of the bike officers and foot patrols and you will see a number of folks out there. again, we will there been to make sure that people are safe , to protect, the dignitaries, and people walking about center city as well as some protesters and very hopeful that people demonstrating will do so peacefully. >> reporter: in addition to road closures secret service is limiting pedestrian traffic around loews hotel, 1100, 1200 blocks of mark streit, 12th between chestnut and filbert and 13th between chestnut and market will all be closed off to pedestrian traffic. >> if you are driving around the city around midday, it is going to be very, very difficult to do that. you might want to take public transportation. >> reporter: if you are planning to take public

>> president trump also signed an order to strip funding from sanctuary cities, here's what philadelphia mayor jim kenney had to say about that. >> there are methods that we have our congressional foulke, we have courts, we have lots of protections. this is not a dictator ship, this is a democracy. as far as i know, it is. we will take avail of every opportunity we have to protect our citizens. >> philadelphia is one of the 300 sanctuary cities all across the country. in these cities undocumented immigrants arrested for non- violent crimes are not reported to federal officials, several other u.s. mayors are openly opposing president trump's order. in other news officials are trying to figure out what sparked an overnight fire in montgomery county home. multiple fire tenths responded to the 600 block of orland mills road in orland around 1:00 this morning. fire fighters tell us the rear sustained most of the tam age. everyone inside the home, including a family dog made it out safely. well, neighbors living near that giant sinkhole in glenside are told to boil

their water as a precaution. this is a live picture, you can see the sinkhole opened up yesterday, between those two homes on the 700 block of brooke road, and that was early yesterday morning, the good news, no one was hurt but one home had to be evacuated, other nearby home was already vacant. sinkhole swallowed up sidewalks, trent yards and large tree. crews saved that white truck as it dangled close to the edge. brooke road remains closed between argyle and shellfield road until further notice. man who suffered serious injuries when dumbbell crashed through windshield of his suv has died. seven five-year old jack day car low passed away tuesday evening driving along new jersey turnpike in salem county earlier this month when the 50-pound weight hit him in the head. police are still trying to figure out where the object came there. a 96 year-old woman is tighting for perfect life this morning after she was mauled by a pair of pit bulls in germantown. this happened yesterday, afternoon, on the 5800 block of brush road, and the would hand is in critical condition,

with dog by the to her head, face, arms, they say woman's husband used a broom to shoe the dogs away. two pit bulls are in police custody right the now. we are hearing what it was like inside the home of the grace packer there three of her mother's former foster children. the 39 former foster children lived with sarah and david packer years before the death of 14 year-old grace last summer they say sarah was mentally, physically abusive toward grace and favored her adoptive brother. sarah packer ace former northampton adoption supervisor, packer and her boyfriend jacob slaverer face several charges in the death. pennsylvania governor tom wolf gets a clean bill of health after being treated for ross state cancer. the 68 year-old leader of the commonwealth got news from his doctor last week, wolf was diagnosed, last year, after routine checkup. he managed to keep a pretty busy schedule while he received that cancer treatment new jersey governor chris christie has declined to endorse lieutenant governor chris guadagno to succeed him

touring a radio interview, christie said she would do a good job of being governor but unsure whether she can handle the governor's race. after years of supporting the governor's policy guadagno recently broke with him on his plan to raise the gas tax while increasing infrastructure sending and cutting other taxes. well, this morning we're remembering a tv legend one of my all time favorites, actress mary tyler moore tied on wednesday surrounded by family and trend. her biggest fans are working to keep her inspirational memory alive. >> moore cemented her place in the role with the dick van dike show and her star shined brightest during mary tyler moore show. the ram is credited with opening up the door for professional women, every where, and roxana saberi reports from new york. >> in minneapolis home on the mary tyler moore sitcom fans paid tribute to the stars they say entertained and inspired them. >> the notion of the single professional woman making her way in the world is a great thing to remember.

♪ welcome back. huge flames has fire fighters remain on the scene of the three alarm blaze in washington. 15 miles north of seattle. the red cross is now sheltering residents from two neighboring buildings that were evacuated due to heat exposure. two fire fighters were hurt. fortunately those injuries are not life threatening. crews have been working to put out that fire since 10:00 o'clock last night. it was a new apartment complex undercover trucks, so it was vacant when the fire began. and meantime officials in the the canadian province of the new brunswick says it could take days for some people get their power back due to a nasty ice storm. more than 130,000 people lost power yesterday, after the storm hit that region. many schools were also closed.

more than 100 utility crews are working to restore power but officials say it won't happen overnight. this weeks nor'easter took a toll of the beach of atlantic city. what once looked like a place to pull up a chair looks more like a construction zone. beach in front of the former revel casino what's roaded so badly steel pier handicapped ramp nearly fell over but they will get a face lift before the season begins with zero seven million-dollar beach replenishment project. and atlantic city was not the only shore point hit hard, check out what the storm surge did in north wildwood, drop off is more than 10 feet. in ortly beach walkway look like sky ways n ventnor the dune system took a real beating. >> yeah, that storm took a toll on our local beaches. it it is a shame too. so many just replenished their beaches. now they have to do it all over again. >> you have to go through this at least once a year, right. but at least i don't have any major storms down the pipeline right now, guys. what that means for snow lovers is that i don't forsee any kind of snow in the next

seven days, but it also means for all of you not fans of that, it is i a pretty quiet forecast generally speaking. we have, again, another front willal boundary to track here to take. we will get outside and take a live look at our live neighborhood network outside whitefield elementary school. you can see very light traffic one single car here and there, rolling through, the streets, but it is a quiet beginning to the day. 42 degrees, already, even though that wind is still technically out of the north/ north east very light, clearly but still out of the north. again, you know, a chilly start to the day but not as harsh as we typically find this particular day of the year. the here's frontal boundary we were talking about, that moisture beginning to fill in across maryland, virginia. i do think natalie shore points southern most delaware will likely see steady rain as that moisture contend builds in the next couple of hours, but this line of light showers is pretty much all you have to deal with every where else and does hit with poor timing. generally seven or 8:00 o'clock or so in the rest of the morning and then clears

out of here but it is light. here's that wind elsewhere, it is really calm, anywhere from philadelphia to wilmington you will barely notice it. it is haphazard either out of the south, north or west but regardless it looks like that wind picks up and more out of the west as day goes on, it could peak as high as 20 miles an hour with higher gusts up to 30. this is once showers really clear out, however natalie wind picks up. so morning showers, afternoon wind, and clearing out. artily cloudy, colder tonight too. bottom gets pulled out from underneath us here as we tropical to 33 degrees. over the course of the next six days beyond this point the coolest spot is definitely monday but more sun, then anything and bit of the win, granted but we will take a quiet pattern. we tea serve it, right. >> guess what i'm playing with over here. >> what do you got. >> your real time brand new traffic system that we're debuting today. i have to tell you, this is all about the viewers in mind. this is why we have this. so, take a look at this i love bringing this to you. we have a 2d map behind us if

you i can show you two cameras at ones and we are looking at boulevard approaching schuylkill. headlights moving this is northbound direction and you can see we're starting to heat up a little bit a the lot of people will heed warning and yum seven on the roadways earlier today because president trump is coming to town. we will talk about that coming up in a bit. we have road closures out there. ninety-five south at cottman is what we are looking at here pushing town in the southbound direction here. i would a fairly typical. when i say typical in the world of travel that is not a bad thing. looking good here. then we will get to new jersey , first live look here, showing all green on the sensors. we are looking good at the 42 tree way north bound at creek road. i will say it is heating up a little bit on 42 as well a approaching 295. so, for those maybe waiting until kid jump on the school bus just a heads up, this thursday will probably be busy then we have got some construction in new jersey as well. 676 southbound at route the 42 , left lane block. that will linger on you the there until 6:00 a.m. these two off ramps we were talking about on 295 and 42, they will be both been cleared
