>> car and all terrain vehicle collide on a bucks county road, one teen is dead, another in critical condition in the hospital. >> lights, camera, philly. the city takes center stage in an upcoming movie. we take you behind the scenes. and it is opening day at the philadelphia auto show. check out some of the cars that will take you down memory lane. >> today is saturday, january 28th. good morning, i'm jan carabeo. let's get right over to meteorologist, justin drabick, checking out the eyewitness weather forecast, justin, good saturday morning. i just have to remember it is january, it is winter, back it reality. all-in-all not too bad this weekend? >> not too bad. we were spoiled by 50's and 06 degrees temperatures, eight days above 50 in the month of january. >> impressive. >> now typical mid winter stuff, talking about highs low 40's, 30's. >> not bad. >> not bad. no big storms in the meantime. have to say we won't get any

storms later this winter, but next few days, looking pretty quiet. so philly auto show, good place to hang out today. if you want to escape some of the winds and and cold, and this morning all quiet across the city. live look like yesterday, waking to up some cloud cover, little colder though. right now the actual air temperature at 35. so still have a breeze out of the west 13 miles per hour. that's bridging the win schil veils down to the mid 20's, what it actually feels like. heavier coat, hats, gloves, needed, taking it on out today. twenty-five mount pocono, mid 30's south jersey and delaware. there is the sustained winds out of the west, southwest, ten to 15 miles per hour today. probably get some gusts near 25. we were around 30 yesterday for the wind gust, but little bit better today. and the windchills across the region right now, feels like 13 up in the poconos. so if you are headed up north for some skiing and riding it will be cold day. overall pretty quiet. twenty-six what it foles like in reading, upper 20's for dover, delaware.

turnpike bridge, pa turnpike, new jersey turnpike, that's close in the both directions, indefinately. normally if you want to go out of your way to avoid that. cbs-3 traffic center. a.m. a amanda mueller back to you. >> new this morning police investigating home invasion and shooting in philadelphia's talcony neighborhood. police say a man was shot in the shoulder inside of his own home here on the 4800 block of longshore avenue just before 2:30 this morning. the man responds dollars to knock at his door only to find two armed men wearing black masks. now, police say, the suspect shot the man when he tried to shut the door. he's currently in the hospital. >> investigators trying to pinpoint what exactly caused a deadly accident involving two teenagers, and an atv in bucks county. "eyewitness news" reporter anita oh, live in bensalem township, to tell us more about it, anita? >> reporter: good morning, jan, such tragic story here. we do know one, 13 year old boy has died after this crash,

another 13 year old is currently in critical condition at a local hospital. but bensalem police at this time are not releasing any names of either of the two boys or the driver. let's get right to video of the scene now. this is chopper video from last night, just before 7:00, when those two boys were apparently ride willing this atv down bensalem boulevard and crashed into a car near intersection every jason drive. police say the driver of that car is cooperating with authorities. although, he's not been cited at this time. is not facing any charges. we also know that it is illegal to drive an atv down a main road like bensalem boulevard. unless you're crossing that street, and even then you must be at least 16 years old. again, one, 13 year old boy has tragically died from this crash. and another is in critical condition at a local hospital. bensalem police say they'll be continuing to investigate throughout this weekend. for now live at bensalem police headquarters, anita oh, cbs-3, "eyewitness news". >> anita, thank you. woman is killed, and child is in the hospital this morning,

after a hit-and-run in west philadelphia. chopper three, over the 600 block of 57th street, where it all happened last night, right around 8:00. police say a 48 year old woman was killed when a driver in a white mini-van hit her and kept going. meantime, motorcyclist has been killed after colliding with a septa bus in olney. this happened last night on the 5500 block of rising sun avenue. eyewitnesses tell police that the motorcyclist ran a red light. no one on the bus was hurt. president trump continues to have a very busy schedule into the weekend. he is talking by phone with at least five foreign leaders including russia's president vladmeere putin. yesterday the president said he took steps that he claims will make america safer. weijia jiang explains. >> president donald trump signed an executive order to immediately begin what he calls extreme vetting of refugees. >> i'm establishing new vetting measures to keep radical islamic terrorists out of the united state of

america. we don't want them here. >> the order suspend the us refugee admissions program for four months, while it is reviewed. it stops the approval of visas for people from countries of particular concern. us agencies will determine what information the us government needs to ensure individuals are not a security threat. and it blocks all syrian refugees until the president determines changes have been made to ensure their admission is consistent with the national interests. senate minority leader democrat chuck schumer condemned the orders. he says tears are running down the cheeks of the statue of liberty tonight. the council of american islamic relations said it will challenge the order in federal court. mr. trump reiterated his support for the use of torture to fight terrorism. but saidel defer to defense secretary, james mattis, who is against it. president trump also signed paperwork, to build up the military. >> new planes, new ships, new

president, and republican majorities in both the house and the senate, a bore sean opponents say they're feeling political momentum. president trump has promised to appoint an anti-abortion judge to fill the vacancy on the supreme court. that will announcement is expected next week. >> bergin county prosecutor offers will not pursue charges against new jersey governor chris christie in the bridgegate case. this decision stems from a criminal complaint filed against the governor by a former teaneck firefighter. in november 2 of christie's former aides were convicted in federal court. christie has denied any wrong-doing. the governor's offers released a statement calling the complaint an injustice against the governor. a production of the musical rag time which contains a racial slur in the script will go on. at cherry hill high school eels. meeting on tuesday the school district took some heat for it decision to remove the racial slur from the script. dills strict now reversed course and decided student can perform the musical as it was written. music theater international,

the distributor of the script, made it clear that its contract states that the play must be performed as written or not at all. the. in aacp says it is disappointed in the district's decision. >> hollywood comes back to center city. you may have hit some heavy traffic around jfk boulevard last night. film crews will be there until 7:00 this morning. for a movie that's getting a lot of excitement. our own natasha brown tells us what's being filmed in philly. >> on a bustling friday night in philly traffic is often a factor when folks are going about their evening plans. but on this night the national flow of cars is snarled by road closures, beginning from 15th and jfk, to 20th and jfk, it is the first night of a shoot for the film un touch at any time starring philly's own kevin hart. we captured this shot in center city. >> i'm so excited about untouchable. first of all we have kevin hart back in town. we have the most exciting

actor, besides him, brian kranson. and nicole kidman. up. >> sharon, executive director of the greater philadelphia film offers has seen her share of movies using the city of brotherly love as a backdrop. it seemed toner jews the city and says it is good for business. >> everyone is so excited to have big stars in town, you know, to have all of this activity. it is great business for the city. >> sets for the film untouchable are also being created at sun center studios in aston delaware county. state officials say the film industry still sees philadelphia as a thriving movie hot spot. >> the film industry has become vital to pennsylvania, and also the philadelphia and delaware county region. these are jobs that benefit delaware county, pennsylvania, and the surrounding areas. >> we didn't get to see any a list celebrities like kevin hart. but we can tell you he was posting on instagram tonight. here he says amazing cable

read with this unbelievably talented cast direct or and producer for our movie untouchable. we are head toy hit the grounds running. so kevin hart again and many other celebrities expected at least by next week, to be taking part in some of the shoots here seeing on the street of philadelphia and throughout the suburban area. in center city, natasha brown, cbs-3, "eyewitness news". fun stuff there. and this will be fun, too, the philadelphia international airport auto show opens to the public this morning. this year there is a special display of cars with ties to movies. the hollywood rides exhibit has some cars from films you may know and love like ghost busters, back to the future. of course, there are also the new rides that you can find at your local dealership. our own vittoria woodill talks with the show's executive director. >> the people that work on the show, we feel like we're custodians, 116 years, and it is not about the industry. it is not an industry thing. it is a philly thing. it is part of the fabric of philadelphia. >> now the philadelphia

prolific actors john hurt has died. he blast diagnosed in 2015 but later said he was cancer free. his career spans six decades, he was twice nominated for oscar award for his role in midnight express. and the elephant man. hurt starred in two harry potter films as well as in this year's oscar nominated film. john hurt was 776789. and tress bacala hail has died, best known role, the secretary in the tv series perry mice on, and when she co-starred with raymond burr. the show originally ran on cbs from 1957 to 1966, got re rival in the 80s, nine 90s, it earned her emmy in 1959. there is no word on the cause of her death. a family representative says hail died thursday at her los angeles area home with her family by her side. barbara hail was 94 years old. meantime, back here at home, pennsylvania senator bob kacie held round table in philadelphia in support of legislation, aimed at those battling breast cancer.

the affordable care act? >> i have to choose sometimes between food and a bill. without the affordable care act i don't know where we would be. >> without providing any specifics yet, president trump has indicated that everyone should have access to affordable healthcare coverage, and that includes those with pre-existing conditions. i'm stephanie stahl, cbs-3, "eyewitness news". turning now to weather, another january day, nothing too, too dramatic out there, right, justin? >> exactly, winner coat, hat, casino every like yesterday. don't expect to see whole lot of sun. that's what we're dealing with all month long, gloomy for january. but all quiet here across the region this weekend. still little breezy today. so the wind chills value will be down to the 20's, 30's, throughout your saturday. but all-in-all, things could be worse for late january. right now, sitting at freezing, just north and west of the city. we go out to eagleville, lou, 32 degrees, partly cloudy skies, so dealing with little cloud cover around this morning, pull out over the next few hours, see the afternoon probably more clouds

thickening up once again, once we see little daytime heating. down in newark, delaware, checking in at 35 degrees under mostly cloudy skies, and we will move over to new jersey here across the river, partly cloudy skies in delran, couple of sixers here, yes, dealing with the clouds, limited sunshine, but you go back to wednesday in riverside, see. that so been a while, no full sunny days coming at us any time soon. that's the trends the past few weeks. we take you outside right now, to new jersey, palmyra cove nature park looking across the delaware. good viabilities. no fog this morning. still breeze here. 33 degrees. so one of the coldest mornings we had in about a week, for most of the delaware valley, a we get close to freezing in a loft spots. january skies, limited sunshine, only one day for philadelphia, officially with mostly sunny conditions. twelve days, partly sunny, and 14, mostly cloudy, overcast, and we're pretty much going to be partly sunny through the rest of this month.

i don't think we will get full sunny day probably until the beginning of fen, so pattern that we're in. typical for winter. but, been a while since sunday shine to make this little dreary for the wintertime. snow showers over central pennsylvania, up-state new york, we have the flow coming in right off the lake. so cold air over relatively warmer waters. so picking up moisturement some of the snow showers could get in the poconos today. radar showing little built of snow over part of northern delaware, delaware county, probably not reaching the grounds. so again, generally cloudy skies through the next couple of hours. winds gust to 21-point pocono. nobody else reporting gusts at the top of the hour. that may change later this morning, into the afternoon. so as we head through time, those gusts get to about 25. so not as gusty as yesterday. still, enough of a wind, to bring the windchills into the 30's throughout your afternoon hours. then tonight, the winds starts to relax. so if you're out late tonight, gusts to 15 miles per hour, windchills down to the 20's. here's the overall pattern. strong low pressure system in the upper atmosphere, sitting

across southern canada. you get the flow around it. we get that counter clockwise flow. and that cold air able to move southward, so chilly pattern develops through the weekend, into next week, we will have little weak system moving on through, lilt dollars moisture, called clipper systems, maybe couple of rain or snow showers, mainly just clouds. big story, will be the cooler temperatures, nothing out of the ordinary, just getting close to the average, 41 this time every year. so here's what's happening today. not whole lot. little sunshine today. clouds to the west and to the north, but those snow showers, clipper number one, comes through to the north on sunday, bringing more clouds, probably, later sunday night, maybe stray flurry overnight sunday into monday morning. and then monday afternoon, pretty quiet. then here is our next clip their will approach us, into tuesday, i think that one gives better chance for a rain or snow shower coming in tuesday afternoon. then another clipper system moves in through wednesday. just bringing more clouds, and just reinforcing the cooler air. the win chill values down to the 30's throughout your

january 28th. good morning, everyone, i'm jan carabeo. meteorologist, justin drabick out there live this morning on the cbs-3 skydeck with eyewitness weather. now, justin, if i can get little sun slight in my life today, i will be very happy, i know it is chilly but is it a possibility? >> we won't see whole lot of sun. i know we could use some vitamin d this time of year, get the winter blues, but that's the pattern, right, unfortunately over the past few weeks, only one full sunny day officially in philadelphia for the month so far. so limited sun again. i this i we see little bit of that sunshine, especially later this morning, but clouds will pick it up once again this afternoon, but all-in-all, quiet pattern, seems to be whole lot worse for this time of year. temperatures, cooler than yesterday morning. we're in the low and mid 30's, for the actual numbers, at freezing in allentown at this hour. mid 30's, philadelphia, millville wilmington, delaware, little winds to deal, with not quite as strong as yesterday. sustained winds ten to 15, gust to go near 25, especially into the afternoon. so the win chill values, on the colder side.

let's go to amanda mueller. >> hi, january. good news for roadways, by and large. looks pretty good out there right now. we do have our eyes on one or two accidents, including this one at keim street north hills boulevard. right now emergency crews are on the scene there. avoid the fare possible, also, word about an accident on the new jersey turnpike northbound, that's right after route 206. it has the right lane block, there so do expect some delays. be aware road work on the right sound bound lane blocked at route one, due to road work one lane blocked there, schedule to ends around 99:00 a.m. this morning. finally planning through the city be aware jfk boulevard and market street closed between 15th and 20th streets. your best alternate there is chestnut street. the good news, is that out of your way by 7:00 a.m. this morning, so should only affect you if you need to head out in the next half hour or so. at the cbs-3 traffic center, amanda mueller, back to you. >> miss continue to

for, for every single school district in the state, be at 100%. >> but 100% is terrifying to school district. that have a lot of student who live below the poverty level. they get aid that exceeds the funding formula, and could lose millions of dollars a year. meantime the philadelphia school district has released a new report detailing the condition of its school property. it says city school properties need more than 12,000 row pairs at a projected cost of four and a half billion dollars. some of the biggest repairs needed are heating and cooling, along with electrical service. the school district says it has a greater need for strategic investment in upgrades, and for complete facility replacement. and a lack of sponsorship puts the brakes on 30 year philadelphia tradition. the manayunk bike race is canceled for this year. the philadelphia international cycling classic made the announcement on its website. saying this past winners like lance armstrong tackled that famous manayunk wall, grueling
