snow will stick around let's turn to katie over in the weather center. >> primarily morning issue, pretty modest one-3 inches absolutely max. we showed you storm scan. you see it over my shoulders. full screen one more time. i want to show you what's going on with this. we do actually have rain mixing in here, cold enough, the timing just right well enough on our side that you'll find snow sticking and accumulating primarily through the southeastern portion of our area. little tighter look here, probably finding couple of flakes son i-95, but i'll need to send to you cumberland county, kent, sussex, winter weather advisory posted until noon today, periods of snow, primarily delaware, southern new jersey, allentown looking for it, sorry, you get gipped this time. north of bucks county, montgomery county, don't expect anything out of this, even that far north.

and also we do have accident here in black rock road, first accident of the morning, heads up on. that will not sure if it is something slippery, but still out there. also construction pa turn peak westbound, ft. washington, valley forge, right lane block this morning, but see plenty of green on the maps. we are talking more about the construction coming up in the next ten minutes, back to you. >> thank you so much, meisha. snow expected to mainly affect areas to the south and east. but the city of philadelphia making sure the roads are ready for this morning. crews were out treating primary and secondary roads overnight. plows were being readied at the south philadelphia penndot start earlier this morning. city leaders say about 70 trucks have been out since about 2:00 this morning, they have about 47,000 tons of salt ready. well, at this point, only two school district opening two hours late because of the weather. those include the regional school district, estell manor school district, both atlantic county, reminder will post all closings and delays on

cbsphilly.com and on our cbs local app. new this morning, hit-and-run in philadelphia's queen village, leaves one person injured. police say it happened about 2:00 this morning, at second and south street. the victim suffered an arm injury. so far no description of the car. store owner shoots two robbery suspects in cobbs creek leading to their arrest. philadelphia police say it happened at 62nd and spruce. two armed men wearing black masks entered a restaurant just after 9:30 last night. police say the incident was captured on surveillance cameras, both inside and outside of the restaurant. >> undetermined amount of cash from two separate cash registers. at some point during the robbery one of the owners, 49 year old male, pulled his own gun, and fired at least two shots striking one of the robbers in the lower back. >> police found the shooting victim at mercy hospital. officers say the robbers tried

to cut the wires to the surveillance cameras, before robbing the restaurant. but they cut the wrong wire. police say they were driving in stolen car. >> thousands protested at philadelphia international airport against president trump immigration ban. for a second day, a crowd gathered at terminal a. the executive order suspends syrian refugee program, also bans the entry of citizens from seven predominantly muslim country for 90 days, and suspends our refugee admissions for four month. now the ban hits home for woman who fled the syrian war and moved to south jersey with letter two sons, her husband is still there. >> i mean, we ran away from war because all we needed is some safety. and a place to build better future for our kids. and all the things we're getting right now is like feeling like we're criminals or something. now we're being treated like criminals. >> the demonstrations filled the streets and highways around the airport and did tie up trafficker. the president continues to insist this is not a muslim

ban, in a statement he says america is a proud nation of imigrants, we will continue to show compassion to those fleeing oppression, but we will do so while protecting our own citizens and border. >> pennsylvania governor tom wolf met with a local family affected by the president's executive action while he was in philadelphia this weekend. the family was waiting for their relatives down at the airport when they received a call that all six people were being sent back to syria. governor wolf said this family has been living in allentown for decades, their relatives were legally i am grating to the u.s. and caring visas. >> this is not who we are. pennsylvania is a place of welcome. the united states was set up to be a place where people could escape oppression. this is not a place people come to to experience oppression, and that's what their family members experienced. i for one as an american, as a pennsylvanian, and i'm outraged. >> mr. and mrs. assali say

this developing story. and, operations are slowly returning to normal for delta airlines this morning, after a system outage to ground flights across the us. more than 150 departing flights affected by the grounds stop last night. two and a half hours later lifted before midnight. as a result the airline says at least 80 flights have been canceled today. so if you are flying, you want to check delta website for the status of your flight. >> family, friends, mourning a teen killed in a atv crash in bensalem. you are looking at the candlelight vigil last night for 13 year old gianni forte, and friend riding on atm when they slammed into car near jason drive. investigators say gianni was not wearing a helmet, and his grandmother tells us the roads in bensalem are not safe for atv's. >> the streets in bensalem is not lit, a lot of the roads in bensalem aren't lit, and people don't see them. we don't see these kids.

and if it was will save somebody else's life, please, don't be riding on these streets with atv's. >> the surviving rider was wearing a helmet and is hospitalized with injured. >> kenneth arrested friday, one of five men accused of sexually abuse ago young boy over the span of several years in warminster. it first happened when the boy was nine. in a disturbing details, it is alleged the men dressed up as animals known as furries and took turns sexually abusing the victim. >> abused over at least seven, eight year periods, group of criminals who cared only about their gratification. cared nothing about this young boy. >> the investigation has crossed state lines, officials believe there could be more victims out there. >> well, coming up, get ready for slick roads, snow is falling in some parts of our area. >> katie will tell us the spot

lowest offer the quote unquote totem pole, advisories, basically means you're going to see some snow, going to trip you up. but completely bring this area to a stand still, absolutely not. and we will look at the map in a second here, but all take a look at the forecast, snowfall maps. that potential for flakes looking like it is pretty much not going to get much past philadelphia. so, perhaps you see in philadelphia county or delco, but looking for some snowflakes, especially even up in the mountains, won't get anything out of this one. allentown, red willing, not expecting anything. one-3 inches though still what we are going foray cross the rest of delaware, southern new jersey here, weighs take you out to storm scan one more time. yes, you have some of the steadier bands more moderate snow falling across delaware, southern new jersey, turning over to rain turn far enough into delaware, rather maryland, i should say. but then i also want to show you very quickly next thing in the pipeline, actually another shot for snow. sooner than you might think. take a look. doesn't look like much now. this little guy, little

to see any snow at this point. it looks like there is some moderate snow falling across cumberland, part of northwest, atlantic county specially into kent county, sorry, sussex county delaware. just north, finding little pocket every steadier snow. so the eyewitness weather watchers up and listening, guys, really counting on your observations for some of the count thinks morning. please let me know what you are finding you about but again one-3 inches generally of the light snow in those areas. it is a cold start to the day up in mount pocono, where you have a bit of a cleary sky. thirty-five currently in philadelphia, 33 in atlantic city, definitely cold enough to support that snow. although it is going to only end up being couple of inches, just enough, to cause some slick travel. certainly slow you down on roads like the garden state parkway. we move things forward here, it is just generally a cold forecast. remember, thursday's groundhog day, at the moment i do expect the sunshine out in pucks tonight i, we'll see if the groundhog is either seeing his
