meisha keeping an eye on things this morning and getting us out the door. tgif, the roads are looking good. just dealing with some ice out there, katie has been talking about that all morning long, that it in it looks wet, it is not wet it is frozen. >> does not matter where you are everything below freezing, feels colder than that when you factor in what's not a terrible wind at this point, but just that cold. so any time the wind blows on cold february morning like it is today, it is going to make it feel that much chillier. look at storm scan, no storms in site, folks, one from yesterday, long gone, even at this point it is even not much more than just atlantic canada issue. some things are real quieting down in that regard. but, do keep in mind, that with the wind, in the wake of that departing storm system, you get stuck with. >> this feels like values that are stuck right now into the teens at best, feels more like seven below zero in a place like mount pocono, so really cold start. and i can certainly a test to that, having been on the skydeck couple of times, so walking out the door today again it definitely feels

colder than it is. but it actually is below freezing. so with these frigid temperatures, watch for initial black rising out there, we will start the day off with sunshine, clouds are eventually going to be building through the day, good news, the winds also easing with time, meisha. so helpful information just with the fact it won't be as harsh later today. >> great news, because already this morning, actually seeing, i'm not going to say a lot of problems out, there but we've had a string every accidents out there, one of which, the main one i want to pull your a svensson to, will start to slow you down. so it is the ramp from westbound vine, to westbound schuylkill, the ramp blocked. now you will notice, as you travel past, where this accident is, you're not actually look that bad. where we're seeing the bulk of the back up around the vine westbound. shot at 16th. see, just a string of taillights, everyone trying to maneuver around, trying to get past there is but bottle nose in there. by the way, disable vehicle, in this back up shot, in one of the more center lanes, which is also going to slow you down, as well.

so we're seeing a loft vehicles try to swerve around it. heads up. got a lot of activity going on here, see accident, then the back up shot slow because of the accident and then because of the disable vehicle, and you can see how slow moving it is. barely crawling around that area. then we also have serious accident warrington, actually happened last night, overturned tanker truck, involving injuries. this is involving, also, a fuel spill. so if you can avoid the area you certainly want to. easton at 611, closed between brings toll road and bristol and street road, alternate york road or route 309. >> police end withing three suspect behind bars. >> trang do near the scene, with details, good morning, what do we now know, trang? >> reporter: good morning, investigators still inside this house checking evidence from what was very scary home

invasion, take a look, this house right on the corner, i'm told, two older vietnamese women live here. police do not know why they were targeted. one had just returned from trip overseas. investigators are looking into whether any of these three men who were arrested new these women in anyway. now the women are shaken, but they declined medical treatment and are being interviewed by detectives right now. now this all started around 2:00 this morning, and neighbors called police after hearing screaming and yelling coming from this home. now, officers arrived to find the back door kick in, and two women inside with their hands bound behind their backs. with speaker wire, one punched in the face as well as choke. she told police the suspect held knife to her throat and demanded money. officers then searched the home and found three men hiding, two under beds on the second floor, now they are described as two black males, one asian male, two of them were arm, with handguns. lieutenant john walker praised the response of neighbors and police, walking into a very dangerous situation. >> i think everybody's

relieved, we're relieved, again, make entry into a house with two armed men. officers did phenominal job in bringing this situation under control rather quickly. it could have been much worse. going up into a second floor, with three people, two armed, two separate bedrooms, and rescuing these two women out of this house, safely, then taking these three individuals into custody safely, just a great thing for everybody at this point. >> investigators are looking into whether any of these suspect are involved in a string of armed robberies of asian-owned businesses in southwest and west philadelphia. lieutenant walker tells me that these two women were retired, and did not own any type of businesses. but for now, live in southwest philadelphia, i'm trang do, cbs-3, "eyewitness news," jim, rahel, back to you. >> and new this morning, teenager dead after he was shot multiple times through the window every his home in the sit west oaklane section. the shooting happened just before midnight on the 6700 block of 15th street. they tell us 18 year old victim did manage to make it to his nab over's house,

returned to the hospital, where he died a short time later. so far no word on a motive. >> man from tabernacle, new jersey charged with murder and police say he used a app on his phone to stalk his victims, by tapping in to her cell phone. police arrested 53 year old william ganet wednesday. he is accused of strangling 45 year old shannon o'rourke in her lumberton home. it happened in july of last year. now, a cyber security expert sat down with "eyewitness news" and said she is not surprised a crime like this would happen. >> in someone is skilled enough with those hacking capability, they know what they want, they can try to go after it, usually there is a way that they can either break-in or tap into whatever signals on your phone, whether it is a blue tooth connection or a wifi connection. >> now investigators would not say which app was used, but added that the suspect and friend and victim were friends. police have not yet figured out a motive. >> evolving story in bucks county, evacuation orders have been lifted for residents in

warrington after a massive fuel spill forced them out of their homes overnight. clean up still going on right now on route 611 near easton road after tanker truck overturns, spilling about 4,000 gallons of fuel. this happened around 8:00 last night injuring two people, and we're also told that some that far fuel made its way into the sewer system. >> yes, a lot scary. they said gasoline seep into the sewers, they don't know waist going on, from my understanding they could be very dangerous if something happened. >> and that portion of 611 will remain closed throughout this morning rush, as crews work to remove the truck from the highway. authorities warn that resident may notice an odor of gasoline, until the clean up is complete. well, president trump now has another cabinet member ready to take the oath, early this morning the senate confirm his choice for health and human services secretary tom miles. the vote along party lines, 52 to 47, democrats oppose price's support for revamping the medicare program. republicans see price as a knowledgeable leader, who will help speed up the overhaul of

a landslide on the same stretch of the highway, just few months ago. well, investigators are trying to figure out if a truck was blown off of virginia's chesapeake bay bridge. the tractor-trailer crashed around 12:30 yesterday afternoon, and navy helicopter spotted the driver standing on top of the truck, they rescued him, unfortunately, died on the way to the hospital. officials say wind gusts as high as 06 miles per hour earlier in the day. >> very sad, 6:14, katie, i don't know about the wind, but it was certainly very cold when i left the house this morning. >> yes, and the wind is still cranking out there. certainly not of that caliber, though, yes, and a lot of times, those bridges will have restrictions for high profile vehicles, because that far very thing. got such huge long truck like, that and if you got winds like that, really, just sweep the vehicle off. so very, very scary stuff. all calm and clear along the east cost, comes little

disturb and off to the north and west of our area, will help bring in few more clouds here today. even by tonight, as we take you all the way up to 7:00 p.m., the poconos could towelly see quick little shower, pass by, the rest every us just cloudy skies overhead. but actually begin to see some warmth get pulled back in the region. so tomorrow looks overall like a mostly cloudy day, you will see some breaks in the clouds with sunshine, but generally cloudy skies for us out there. then we look ahead to our sunday when couple of rain showers will move in. notice though it may be coal enough as to work it way in to bring little sleet across portions of the poconos and the far northern most suburbs lehigh valley for example. so may be little slickness that moves in on sunday, but it is generally just rain showers for the rest every us. outside we go, beautiful view. >> look like roads are cleared up, lingering snow still on the ground as well, but with a nice warming trend comes our way, we flirt with or actually hit 50 degrees, it does mean we will have a chance to see any of that snow really have an opportunity to melt away.

so, as we flirt with 50 by sunday, drop few degrees monday, still couple of degrees above average for the majority of the forecast, meisha? >> katie thank you so much. and good morning, everyone, what are we looking at here? a lot of light going off. what it is, just an accident from the ramps westbound vine to westbound schuylkill and the ramp blocked. as you travel past this, bottle knows right here. as you pass by you free up lit bit. looking okay, but the backups pretty substantial. vine westbound at 16th street. you can see, you're at complete stop here. not only is it back up because of this accident, that your @ poaching, but in one of the center lanes you also have a disable vehicle as well. so coming up, putting on brakes, trying to maneuver around the disable vehicle, you don't even know it is there until the last second. but then can't go anywhere because you're back up because of this accident here. if you can avoid this area, i would highly recommend doing so, otherwise, just factor in i would say an extra 25, 30, even 35, 40 minutes at this point, until it is cleared out

little bit of trickle or runoff, frozen over at this point. but then you've got breeze, it is no where near the harsh kind of breeze that we had yesterday. but it is still making it feel a lot colder, you'll see it just in a second here. taking a look at storm scan, first and for most, nothing real toy report out there, guys, nice clear sky this morning. couple of clouds here and there, but overall, it is off to quiet start in that regard. but, then you factor in the temperature change, we've dropped off even since yesterday, as we were watching those temperatures plummet with the storm moving in, still, 12 degrees colder, here in philadelphia. still, 23 degrees colder than the same time yesterday in wildwood. so with that said, what is it actually reflect on the towel thermometer? more like the mid 20's at best in any given location, so everyone below freezing even in wildwood. and up in mount pocono, of course, the most harsh only at 12 degrees, then you have got to factor in the west winds, which is oh, not terribly strong, but as it blows even right now on the skydeck, really sends a chill through

your bones here, be sure to bundle up adequately. mid 30's the best we can hope for. you will start with full sunshine, few more clouds filled with time. but it is much quieter day by comparison, meisha, just the aftermath of the storm at this point. >> absolutely, all right. >> chopper three over very serious accident, happened last night, warrington. overturned tanker truck, and pick-up truck, and it is involving injuries. so again it happened last night, with a pretty big fuel spill around the area. easton road, route 611, northbound side, closed, it was completely closed for some time. now it looks like it is only the northbound side that's closed between bristol road and street road. two alternates will be work road, route 309 if you would want to maybe bypass some of this, otherwise at least note southbound side is now open. but, yikes, this still looks like a very busy area, i would just avoid the area if at all costs. another area that i would

avoid, probably hard to do so, ramp week vine to the westbound schuylkill, because of this accident, getting pretty significant backups on the vine, westbound right around 16. not to mention the fact also where we had disable vehicle. kind of getting it on both end here. you can see, 2 miles per hour in some areas, fairly even moving around the area. so again, if you can avoid it, probably want, to some of these backups now even he can tending back onto 95 because of that. so, if can you give yourself couple every extra minutes leaving out the door give yourself at least half hour to 40 minute, or if you have to go out there now just know you will have to pack your patience. jim, rahel, back to you. >> police arrive just in time to stop a violent home invasion in southwest philadelphia. three men are now behind bars.
