surrounded by customers. shooting happened last night near interest section of route 49 and south book road. authorities say someone opened fire while stopped at the traffic light. at least one pellet hit the side of the the food truck, no one was hurt but owner says it was a close call for workers. >> my brother-in-law was standing where you are, and, you know, he was in the a the time and you hear boom. when they heard boom, everybody says, oh, no i know that wasn't what i think it was. they ran out and then yeah, it was a nice little hole. >> police do not have a vehicle description or surveillance video to work with. they are asking for public's help to identify the shooter. late this afternoon andrew puds certificate withdrew his nomination for secretary of labor. he came under fire amid questions growing about his business record and his personal life. it comes on the heels of troubling new questions about the trump administration's connection toss russia.

harrison ford is being investigated by the federal aviation administration and it could mean that the long time actor and pilot may lose his pilot's license. the investigation comes just two days after ford flew over a passenger jet at an airport in santa ana california. news continues at 5:30. i'm jessica dean. aim ukee washington. that jet was carrying 100 passengers when that ford went over it. ben tracie says this isn't the veteran actor's first close call. >> reporter: harrison ford narrowly averted disaster monday afternoon. the 74 year-old actor was cleared to london runway to zero left at john wayne airport in orange county south

could be a big important advance, with the potential to help hundreds of thousands of families. >> new research may lead to the diagnosis of autism, before, symptoms occur, researchers from the university of the north carolina chapel hill looked at brain scans of the infants and high risk of developing disorder. at six, 12, 24 months. they were able to predict, which ones were going to develop autism with 80 percent accuracy. >> we see an increased rate of growth of the outer surface of the brain, the folds, the sort of the wave iness of the surface. that is followed by an over growth of the brain this is second year. >> reporter: over growth of the brain coincided with the behavior typical of awe advertise that many emerge the second year. researchers say by identifying the brain changes early there is a possibility of developing therapies and even drugs, before the brain fully forms. >> it is at a time when we're talking about in the first year of life when the brain is most mallable.

some of their parents. >> it began in 1977 after an eighth grade student in keith valley middle school who passed away due to a rare heart defect. the his classmates chose to honor him by raising money. >> reporter: they held a floor hockey marathon for children's charity. next class did. the next one. some years, the marathons ran for 24 hours, every eighth grade class has pick up the challenge. >> you just can't wait to participate yourself. i know i was excited all through sixth grade, seventh grade. >> reporter: to participate they need to raise at least $80 each, the design t-shirts and formed 32 teams creating ban tours hang in the two gyms where they will face off, in friendly competition. >> games happen starting at 10:00 a.m. and medicine night. >> i think it will be heart. >> reporter: in 40 years the challenge has raised more than one held for children's charities. this years money will go to the make a wish foundtation.
