but by later this weekend, meisha, going to see a lot of people just out in short and t-shirts. >> i will be one of them, katie, that i promise you, thank you so much. switching gears, talking about a lot of busy stuff going on in the world of travel right now. one of which we have live chopper three over more serious accident in mt. laurel involving injuries. take a look at this. a lot of activity, very slow moving as we go new jersey turnpike, southbound, before route 73, two lanes, all lanes blocked, for a moment there. then two lanes open. and now we're back down to one driveable lane, and already saying that you probably want to use an alternate even though you have one driveable lane. so your alternates, 295, route 130, going to be your best bet. but take a look at this. if you have to head out, this is what you are sitting in in all three lanes condensed now into one driveable lane, and it is very slow moving, even slower as you drive past it, because putting on your brake lights. taking a peak what's going on, getting gaper delay, again, those alternates 295, route is 30, new jersey turnpike

southbound before route 73, only one driveable lane because of this more serious accident. switching gears, we also have motorcycle accident out there, summit square near newtown bypass, heads up for the cyclists, get the warmer weather, biker friends get out on the roadways, heads up for them. also another accident here, willow grove. 611 old york near welsh rd., accident he, still traveling at posted speeds, but yet another accident out there, as women, that's just now been cleared. roosevelt boulevard northbound c street. get thumbs up. heads up. seeing a lot of activity this morning, so take it easy, jim, rahel, back to you. >> developing now, close call for a philadelphia police officer. he pulled over a car to have a driver drag him 500 feet. live at the 35th district as the search this morning continues for the driver. good morning, jan. >> rahel, jim, good morning, i just stepped inside the 35th police district to get an update. they tell us that police are

still looking for the suspect the vehicle, and the driver, however, this morning, that officer is fortunately recovering. they tell me he is a 28 year old. take look at the video. chopper three over the scene late last night, so was police helicopter looking for the suspected vehicle. car actually registered to person known to police with arrests in the past. how much, again, police still looking for that car and the driver this morning. now, this frightening scenario unfolded at 20th and spencer streets, east germantown, around 10:30 last night. two uniform officers with the 35th police district pulled over a car for irradic driving, as the driver rolled down the window police say they smelled and saul what -- saw what appeared to be marijuana. they ordered the driver to turnoff the vehicle, take out his keys, police say the suspect refused. when the officer reached inside to take the keys the driver took off dragging the officer again 500 feet to the intersection of 20th and godfrey. >> while dragging the police offers here was hanging onto

the open door window of the vehicle, the suspect started swerving the vehicle, left and right, in order to shake the officer off of the vehicle. >> again, police are still searching for that car this morning, pennsylvania license plate jlx-9786. the car is registered to a home 2 miles away from where this all happened, when the driver is caught, he'll face number of serious charges including aggravated assault, resisting arrest, wreckless endangerment as to the officer again,'s 28 years old, three year veteran, suffered scrapes and bruce toss his face, his hands, and his knees this morning, he's recovering, fortunately, anyone with information is asked to call police. we are reporting live outside the 35th police district, jan carabeo, cbs-3, "eyewitness news," jim, rahel, back into

you. >> jan, thank you. >> meanwhile new this morning, family in mourning after two brothers are shot dead in east mt. airy. it happened on the 300 block of east up sill street just after 10:30 last night. >> brothers both in their early 20's, found lying on the grounds outside their family driveway, they believe the brothers were shot due to ongoing neighborhood dispute. >> philadelphia police say robbery was motive in fatal shooting overnight inside north philadelphia bar. investigators say a man wearing a hooded sweatshirt walked into the bar at 23rd and indianna this morning. and shot the manager during a struggle. now bar manager died few minutes later. police say the gunman then took about $175 from the bar, along with the victim's wallet, and car keys >> reporting democrats held another all night session to block the vote, spelling more trouble for the trump administration.

and what we are talking about this morning right now very serious accident, live chopper three over an accident mt. laurel with injuries. good news is it is slowly starting to get pushed out of your way. new jersey turnpike southbound before route 73, that being said, only one driveable lane still. so i would highly recommend using a couple of alternates, 29 at or route 130. if you don't use an alternate, waist going to happen you'll be sitting in this long line of a back up. not to mention all into one lane. then once you drive past the accident, you're tapping your brakes, you have lot of gaper delay. take a look if he backups. they're pretty substantial. heads up on this. avoid the area again. your alternates, 295, or route 130. now going live outside, also another accident. ninety-five north near girard, a lot of flashing lights here. one, driveable lane. again, very, very slow movement around here, the a north near girard, if i were you i would avoid the area altogether. back to you. >> thank you, meisha. whether short on time, short on calendar or like to have

>> thank you. philadelphia police continue to investigate a shooting overnight that killed two brothers in the city's northwest section. >> "eyewitness news" reporter trang do live in east mount air which more on the story and the police investigation. good morning, trang. >> reporter: good morning, rahel, jim. police are looking for four men who witnesses describe as being the shooters. they all ran away from the scene. meantime the family is in mourning, and let's look at individual yes we shot over the scene from chopper three last night. police received several 911 calls about shots fired just after 10:30 p.m. on the 300 block of uphill street. they arrived to find two brother ages 23 and 24, lying in the rear driveway, multiple gunshot wound to the chest and torso. officers and medics transported them to einstein hospital where they both died short time later. now, police say the brother had only started recently living at this particular home with their families. police are investigating a possible motive. >> we're getting preliminary

information that this shooting stemmed from ongoing dispute and argument between these two victims. and others in the neighborhood. so we believe that is the motive for the shooting. >> police say this type of violence is highly unusual for this section of east mt. airy. they're hoping witnesses have private surveillance cameras can help them piece this altogether. live in east mt. airy, trang do, cbs-3, "eyewitness news," jim, rahel, back to you. >> trang, thank you. >> in other news, uber driver is facing burglary charges in delaware. bethany beach police say that saddam of frankford took passengers to these hot spots, after dropping them off he headed back and burglarized their home. police say more victims may be out there. he was arrested in tennessee after six month investigation. well, police are searching for pair of suspects who took two laptop computers from upper darby or the doesn't i can officer.

if you have outdoor plans, make the most of that, maybe lucky enough to see one of the folks with the three day weekend coming up here, we are expecting sunny skies for the vast majority of the next seven days, even. but certainly at least through the weekend. and the reason for it high pressure, so at the moment here on storm scan, few clouds still billowing in as storm continues to make it full departure, high pressure making its full arrival. but, there is still a hint after breeze, just enough, that you notice it out there. east of the mississippi though other than couple of clouds, really is completely storm free. with high pressure building in place, keeping control, sunshine, and then eventually warming trend is also on our side. now, there are folks that actually see some negative signs the fact we have this winter warm, ski loving, the greatest news in the world, but with that said, especially folks like farmers, for example, this can actually cause a pretty significant problem for if you it lasts long enough. the return to the cold that we ma end up seeing before the winter ends could kill crops.

51 degrees, sunshine, pretty darn nice at the shore. next couple of dares in the city low mid 60s, gorgeous, if you are a fan of this, if this is for you, then great weather forecast coming up. fifty-six on monday, still with sunshine. and we will keep that theme going at least through tuesday. meisha? >> we need that warmth and sunshine, all right, katie, thank you so much. looking outside right now, 95 is actually where we had an accident. pretty serious accident, moving in the northbound direction around girard. that will accident has now since cleared. looking now we switch in the uthbound direction on 95, looking pretty busy. it will take you from the vine to woodhaven, about 40 minute. you want to certainly if you are just headed out the door right now pack on little bit of extra time. really where you need to pack on extra time where we have this serious accident, new jersey turnpike southbound before route 73, one driveable lane is open. and i would say i would still use this alternate. it is very, very slow moving around there. 295 or route 130 is going to be your best bet. and take a look at all of this red that we are seeing, new jersey turnpike from the pa
