several cases authorities say. >> it was common knowledge, in solebury school, and no one at the school did anything to help this young woman. >> reporter: jordan mercy is on the case and says his client, known by the initials mb, suffered physical and mental abusal solebury school. he says that a former athletic director sexually abused his client when she was under age in high school from 2003 through 2005. >> for many, many years she was confined to her home and her bed frankly because she was severely derested. >> reporter: bucks county district attorney matthew wine taubb says students as young as 14 were sexually abused by instructors. authorities blamed the relaxed environment of the school and attorney marci hamilton read a statement from the victim in this case. >> by the school not taking responsibility, each victim will carry guilt and weight of

these crimes. >> reporter: "eyewitness news" reached out to the solebury school district who would not comment on this specific litigation but did say in part , quote, we strive to move forward with openness and integrity for victims of abuse for our entire community, and for this institution, that we care for so deeply. almost all of the alleged incident are outside of the statute of limitations, arrests are unlikely but this specific case lies within the statute of the limitations. district attorney winetaubb in bucks county and sole write police consider this an open investigation if you know a victim call police. live from the the sat center david spunt for cbs-3 "eyewitness news". breaking news to tell but right the new grid lock in center city. chopper three is live over a large demonstration protesters are marching on broad street, now the protesters are calling for reforms to the criminal justice system. they want mayor jim kenney to end police department's stop and frisk policy. protesters are also, concerned about how president trump will

are dropping quickly, it feels colder out here right the now then it did about an hour ago, you still need coat if you are out tonight, you can ditch it this weekend and for some as cleve just told us they will ditch tonight favor of the bathing suit. not much going on we have got clear skies, still the last bit of a beautiful sunset visible as we look west here over center city to another beautiful moon tonight. it looks gorgeous last night. be on the the look out for that again tonight. storm scan three shows clouds across new york state. that is a warm front. as that lifts north it will open up flood gates to warm air lurking just to the southwest. you can see how close that warm air is. temperatures in the 30's and lower 40's in the area. but as we widen out the look the at that line of green. it is up to 58 in raleigh-durham. sixty-three in columbus, ohio. sixty-nine in charleston. all of that warm air invading and will be welcomed as we head in the weekend. tonight it is still clear and chilly, quiet overnight the with light wind, seasonably chilly, maybe above average

overnight the but then tomorrow though, 15 to 20 degrees above average and we just talk to cleve about polar bear weekend. for polar plunge at 2:00 you can see buoy, changing back and forth between 39 and 40 degrees on that ocean water temperature, that is still very cold. air temperature will be in the 50's so it could be a whole lot worse for polar lungers heading down to sea isle. we will tell you how long this will last once it gets in and it could take us through the seven day forecast, more on that in just a bit. back inside to you. >> thank you, kate. two chester county woman are accused of operating an insurance fraud ring that pulled in thousands of dollar. mary gara and deputy are a charged with felonies. they are charged with filing bogus insurance claims and signing up, unsuspecting people for homeowners and renters policy. they have say gara and deputy collected $07,000 by falsely claiming lightening struck dozens of properties. february is career and technical education month in the philadelphia school

home coming was all about family. mom and dad got the first embrace, even saving the most tiny family member, waiting her turn getting kiss from her uncle. >> it is his first deployment, and really tough going through the holidays without him. >> reporter: coatsville pennsylvania native was deployed to iraq in 2016 and now after nearly a year, sergeant lorenzo is ready for a one month break. waiting in baggage claim, outside airport terminal the family was joined by members of the warriors watch motorcycle group a team of riders dedicated to giving soldiers a proper welcome home >> it has always been about family in our house and kid understand that too. so to have him back home, have all three kids home, you know, just celebrating everything, it is everything. >> i'm sure it is. after a month at home sergeant lorenzo will return to active

fishtown, it is three times larger, 15,000 square footwear house, and this is the head distiller who has a biochemistry background. he says building flavors is an art but science is definitely involve. >> making sure natalie spirit comes off the same each too i am, making sure runs go in the timely hander and that everything work the way it should is science. >> reporter: and this is the president and co founder of philadelphia distillery. he said popularity of the craft spirits has been growing since he started a decade ago and there is no indication of it slowing down. >> first distilling license in pennsylvania since pre hib business, we were really road of that. it has given us the ability to really expand our business over the years but we have lots of competition now. other great distillers around the state, over 50 distiller iness pennsylvania. >> reporter: new fishtown distillery has 3,000 square food craft cocktail bar and lounge where this is our bartender shaking and stirring signature cocktail drinks.

weekend at least. so we will take a little early spring and it will be a long taste of early spring. here's a look outside though, beautiful evening. still capturing last bit of light in the sky, gorgeous shot from our parkway central library, camera you can see that orange horizon. sun has gone down. chilly as temperatures drop in the 30's in many spots but it will stay mild through weekend and thomas you will see much warmer then tonight. storm scan three is clear. we have clear skies, staying that way overnight. any cloud off to the north, denoting where your warm front lies. here it is, right south of the warm trent is what i showed you at top of the show where warm temperatures are lurking, green there down across west virginia and into virginia proper down into the carolinas as well. as this lifts north all of the warm air floods in and then once it get here it is sticking around for a while. temperatures dropping, we are down to 35 in millville. thirty-nine in atlantic city. thirty-nine in wilmington as well. heading out the for your try night plans if you need jacket

, warm up is not here just yet, but, it is getting here very shortly. overnight our low temperatures dropping in the mid 30's. we will see upper 20's in the suburbs. a few cloud, quiet night, light breeze, 5 miles an hour. tomorrow mostly sunny and we will jump straight from february into april. high of 61. that is 15 degrees above average. and here's what it looks like, tomorrow morning 7:00 a.m. we will see couple spots the in the 20's. we will be in the lower 30's in philadelphia at 7:00 a.m. watch how quickly these temperatures jump. by saturday afternoon we have temperatures in the lower 60's in the region. fifty's to the north. it is a full day of sunshine. now cloud are going to move in overnight saturday night, but with the cloud cover in place, saturday night into sunday, temperatures at night don't even drop well below the 50- degree mark, so very mild sunday myself, and we will start off on a good foot sunday morning. we will start off in the 40's and 50's making it's years for temperatures to climb in the mid 60's with sunshine

returning sunday afternoon. so what to expect for tomorrow , mostly sunny feels like april, 15 to 20 degrees, included could role in just in time for sunset but most of the day is dry and sunny. and then sunday even warmer, forecast ted high 65 degrees record is 68, and that was setback in 1948 we will be within 3 degrees, of that number and just cooler for president damon, still very nice, almost 10 degrees above average but more east wind will mean temperatures in the the 50's instead of the 60's. can't complain too much about that. >> your seven day forecast this weekend and again next week, tuesday is coldest day of the seven day tore cast, it is still mid-february, guys. fifty on tuesday, and that is coldest, and then we will rebound back to the 60's by even of the next week, chance for rain on friday, possibly into saturday. we will keep an eye on that. this does not look like a february 7 day forecast at all is there not one day on there that looks like a february day >> no. >> this is very rare warmth for this time of the year.
