donovan. >> i'm rahel solomon. out the door with a check on the forecast with a check on roads with katie and meisha. >> happy monday. so starting off with a little bit after bang. we have overturned tractor-trailer, mt. laurel, new jersey, on the new jersey turnpike, we will be talking about that in a bit. >> thankfully the wet letter cooperate for anyone travel today. combat some sun glare i would say, certainly as the sun continues to come up earlier and earlier every day, later and later, yes, becomes more of an issue for the a.m. and p.m. drivers. rye now storm scan is very quiet. it will stay that way throughout the day. not too much after breeze, just minor one that you may notice ever so slightly. but generally this just looks like very calm day, certainly storm scan reflect that with nice clear sky overhead at the moment. now we did have cold front that passed through, and it did actually knock our temperatures back. however, it didn't knock them far enough back that we're actually back to what's seasonable just yet. so still very mild day for the standards, and again, late february, hit 07 degrees yesterday? i mean, that's completely

unheard of. new record. i think we will end one another record before the week is said and done. i'll let you know that later in the show here, but for now, it is out the door, if you're just tuning in quickly to check your weather and traffic and hit the road. forty-seven the temperature at the airport, at 40 atlantic city, little cooler in the allentown and wildwood area, specially millville, where you drop off pretty stub standingsly, as the day progresses everyone gets in on full sunshine, it is cooler, technically, however, 57 is still well above average, by 11, 12 degrees or so, so cooler but still mild day if that makes sense. couple of showers chances, do wait in the wings for us, as i mention, another record is also on the docket. i'll let you know which day to expect the warmest weather coming up. >> thank you so much. we turn our attention right away, just talking about at the desk, overturned tractor trailer in mt. laurel, the driver was injured, and transported to the hospital. it sounds like traffic now is squeezing by on the shoulder. but i would still recommends using this alternate of 295. where is the new jersey

turnpike past route 73, again, all of the driveable lanes are completely blocked right now, alternate, 29, a going to be your better bet than trying to squeeze by on that shoulder, and, also, one tweet said: dejavu all over again the northbound side of the new jersey turnpike, that would be correct. last week another serious overturned tractor-trailer, this time on the northbound side. heads up on this. avoid the area if you can. if possible, otherwise use that alternate. then we also have some construction here going on in the trenton marysville bridge, southbound direction, one toll lane blocked there is will be blocked all the way until 2:00 . by the way, this is one of the alternates to the delaware river bridge. so just heads up on that, that can probably start to slow you down maybe little deeper into the 5:00 hour. heads up on that. speaking of the delaware river bridge, just remind they are will be closed until around april-ish time, jim, over to you. >> thank you, meisha. developing story in juniata park. philadelphia police are looking for the men who invade

add home then tied up the home owner. >> victim's brother found him two days later still bound. "eyewitness news" reporter trang do live with the details. what do we know here? >> reporter: well, good morning, rahel and jim. we spoke to the victim's brother just short time ago. he tells us his brother's name is paul. and that he's in pretty bad shape. police tell us the man is in serious condition at aria-torresdale hospital. he has some very serious injuries, he was his fan as well as arms and legs. it started in this garage, then quickly moved up to the second floor bedroom here. investigators aren't sure at this point if the man was drowned, but they say it appears he was targeted. this happened about 11:00 p.m. friday. police say 50 year old man was working in his open garage on the 4200 block of neilson street when two mask men entered with a gun. they forced him into his home and up to second floor bedroom, he was bound with electrical tape action gagged with a rag, beaten and pistol whipped.

the men left after 15 minutes, but the victim was not found until almost 48 hours later. around 5:00 p.m. sunday the man's concerned brother broke into the house looking for him, and found him still tied up. >> we don't know if anything has been taken here. we have yet to determine that. we do know that he was assaulted, and it does appear that some sort of planned attack, this crime was planned out. >> investigators expect to be out here for several hours this morning, processing the scene, which includes the garage, as well as the home. but they say that this garage has both interior annex tear year cameras that captured a lot of this very horrific crime on camera. but for now, live in juniata park. i'm tragedy, cbs-3, "eyewitness news," jim, rahel, back to you. >> hopefully that video can help them. thanks, trang. new this morning, philadelphia police are looking for a gunman who pistol whipped 19 year old man in east oaklane, investigators think the attack which

happened on the 5600 block every north 66 street was a robbery attempt. police say the gun went off. no one was wounded. the victim at einstein medical center meanwhile, car crashes into group of pedestrians on city avenue sending three people to the hospital. this all happened just before 10:00 last night in wynnefield heights. officials tell us multiple people were in the intersection. city avenue and monument road when a car slammed into them. last check, no word on how they're doing. >> over to north philadelphia now. three people are rushed to the hospital after car smashes into a building. this happened on the 1600 block of bouvier street right by oxford street. the car crashed into the structures front railing just before 10:00 last night. no word on the condition of the victims. >> this morning the search is on for the kill here shot a man in philadelphia's kingsessing section. "eyewitness news" on the 1300 block of 53rd street where police say 27 year old man was shot once in the head, shortly before 6:00 saturday evening. the victim was returned to the hospital where he later died. at this point, no arrests have been made.

and dry at the moment outside ocean city, in cape may county of course, and we will keep things dry all day today. with lots of sunshine. if maybe you were one of the folks that's enjoying a nice long holiday weekend, perhaps were you down the shore here this weekend, what, again, great excuse to be out there here even today. although it is technically cooler, still above average. and i know i'm thinking spring here. let's look at the countdown. where are we? twenty days until daylight saving combination, 28 days until the official start of spring with equinox, 43 days until the average high of 60. i feel like we can wipe that clean. already seen multiple days, not just the 60s but even 70 degrees day for you, and 46 until that phyllis home opener. so days are kindling for us, getting close anyway to single digit values. we look at storm scan, no problems out there folks. we did have cool front that particular neckly crossed through, that he is injury it is cooler here today. but didn't bring much of anything say for minor breeze, bulk of the energy far removed off to the north. then the next storm system

barreling through the lone star state, very heavy and severe thunderstorms, eventually showers with the storm are going to be headed our way. sound like we are talking not much more than again couple of showers specially tomorrow night into very early wednesday. meantime, though, it is all about the temperature at this point. what you are going to see here is anywhere from 32 degrees and lower on the contours, and notice, they just stay for the most part off to the north, and we are going to see again another system come into tuesday into wednesday. that's the next shot really for us to see anything close to freezing. and then, for the most part, it stays not just north but canadian border, until we hit the u up coming weekend, another chance to see the drop on the this thermometer come. in february, weaver a shot at the top ten for mildest winters, see how we do, regardless looking at the next seven days, there is not a single day that is even close to average, say, for tomorrow. that's even still above the average, by about 50 degrees here. again watching late day showers, no major heavy

rainout of t that's the next chance for rain. it will lead into very early wednesday morning. meisha? >> all right, katie, thank you so much. and we are still covering this overturned tractor-trailer, take a lock at this, this is in mt. laurel. and the driver was transported to the hospital. new jersey turnpike northbound past route 73, all lanes are blocked right now. you will have to use this alternate 295, but i will say that we do have drivers squeezing by on that shoulder, but it is getting very, very slow moving around that area. so, i would avoid the area if you can, if you cannot, use this alternate, 295, that will help you out little bit. like i said, traffic is squeezing by on the shoulder, it is getting very slow around there. an accident here with downed telephone pole. heads up. allentown road closed right now between camp rock hill road and butter creek road. you're still traveling around this area at posted speeds, but you probably will start to drop here, coming up in a little bit. and then we also have some overnight construction, i want to pull your attention, route one northbound oxford valley closed between nine p.m. and 5:00 a.m. so again, this overnight construction, affect the us
