above average. now, looking at storm scan, nice and clear out there. we are expecting to see again light wind, nice bright sunshine, virtually no cloud cover currently overhead, as we take a look at some of the area temperatures, we are currently at 47 degrees at philadelphia international airport. mid low 40's, in many other spots and also handful of 30's, definately cooler by comparison. mill the coolest spot, 33, the current temperature there. meanwhile as we go into some of the outlying suburbs north every city at 46 in both mt. holly and doylestown, 37 in quakertown. so you do want to still have heavier coat walking out the door. shorts and t-shirts weather of yesterday? no. but 57 february 20th is mild, all the way up to 56 at the shore points, then 45 even for the poconos, is well above average. >> even though yes, it is cooler by comparison, still above the norm for us, and the sun will continue to shine all day long. now, we do have get this another substantial warm up looking forward, but there is in addition to that couple of

additional showers chances that we will fine. so i'll let you know when you may or may not need the umbrella coming up. and also, another record to tell you about in the days ahead. meisha? >> all right, katie. looking outside right now. i can tell if you has been busy morning in the world of travel. good morning, everyone, hammy monday. happy president's day, talking right now have been all morning long this overturned tractor trailer in mt. laurel. the driver was injured, transported to the hospital. and it sounds like all lanes are blocked new jersey turnpike northbound past route 73, you will have to use this alternate 29a but it also sounds like a lot of drivers are squeezing by on that shoulder, causing some real slow downs around the area. so if you can a individual this area you certainly want to do so. if you can't, use this alternate. if you try to squeeze by, on that shoulder you will have to factor in some extra time into your driving plans around that area. also, we have another accident, here, allentown road closed, camp rock hill road and butter creek road. heads up. you will have to use an alternate. it sounds like you are driving around this area okay. but there is a downed telephone pole that i want you

to be aware of as well. also we have another accident in westville. 295 southbound before route 130. so these three accidents all popping up right now, sounds like 5:30 in the morning, this is really going to slow us down in the 6:00 hour if some of these don't clear particularly the overturned tractor-trailer on the new jersey turnpike happened earlier this morning, then looking live look outside schuylkill eastbound at city avenue. first look at the schuylkill, looking okay, but i would say in the westbound direction, starting to heat up little bit. eastbound side look at this looking good. ninety-five south at cottman, quick peak, looking, no problems pushing in the southbound direction. a-okay there, rahel, jim, over to you. >> developing now, man found bound and gagged inside his juniata park home. >> his brother found him two days after home invasion. "eyewitness news" reporter trang do live at the scene to bring us up to date on the investigation. good morning, trang. >> reporter: well, good morning, jim, rahel. at this point investigators aren't sure if the man was robbed but they say it appears he was targeted. i just spoke to the victim's

brother he said his brother's name is paul. and that he is in pretty bad shape. but take a look, where it all went down here. it started in the garage. then beginningly went up into the house to the second floor. police tell me the man currently at aria-torresdale hospital in stable condition. they say he has serious injuries to his face, as well as his arms and legs. as he was tied up for two whole days. now this happened around 11:00 . police say the 50 year old man was working in his open garage, on the 4200 block every neilson street, when two mask men entered the garage with a gun. they forced him into his home, to up second floor bedroom, where police say he was found with electrical tape, gagged with a rag, beaten then pistol whipped. the men left after 15 minute, but the victim not found until almost 48 hours later around 5:00 p.m. sunday. the man's concerned brother broke into the house, looking for him, and found him still tied up. >> we don't know if anything has been taken here. we have yet to determine that. we do know that he was assaulted, and it does appear

that some sort of planned attack, this crime was planned out. >> now investigators are out here, and they expect to be out here for several hours this morning processing this scene. they say this garage here has both exterior and interior cameras, that captured a lot of this horrific crime on camera. they say they also found an air soft gun covered in blood. that may have been used in this beating. but that's the story here. for now live in juniata park, trang do, cbs-3, "eyewitness news," jim, rahel, back to you. >> thank you, trang. plane crash landing rattles neighborhood in bayonne new jersey same plane came down outside of new york city. the pilot start today run into issues over the statue of liberty. brain brought down wires, crashed few cars, before landing upside down. the pilot identified as 56 year old george petway, in stable condition at a local hospital. >> faa wants to know what caused small plane crash in

montgomery couldn't. no one was hurt when this plane went down sunday afternoon at the butter valley golf course in upper hanover township. crashed shortly after take off. it is both a public landing strip for small planes, and the airport owner tells the reading eagle that the crash was likely caused by a wind gust that caught the plane. jim? >> today president trump marks his one month since his inauguration. he is still working on un finish business. president expected to unveil his revised immigration and travel ban this week while searching for new national security advisor, sunday he interviewed four candidate at his florida estate, day after holding rally in mel born. british lawmakers plan to debate president trump's plans to visit great britain later today. yesterday the house par lamont in london became the backdrop for large pro jerk sean saying say no trump, stance again the president's state visit to britain lasted about an hour, global justice now director nick says it is extraordinary

>> has such a sentimental meaning because i used to watch with my grandmom all the time. unbelievable. so do you have watch it with your daughters? yes, oh, believe me, they'll learn all about it. don't you worry. so we've got great weather to tell you about yet again, another nice warming trend on the way for our area. let's take you outside. we start things off as i get myself over to the touch screen here, with a beautiful shot from central parkway library as we overlook that looks like the vine. it is all moving smoothly for us, nice clear sky overhead. and that's going to be the story all day long. very, very quiet day unfolding. and hopefully not too much traffic out there since a lot of folks do luckily have the day off. but, if you are like us, you have to hit the road here early on, you have to get to work today, all looks very, very pleasant. now, you may not be able to get out the door with shorts and t-shirt kind of like you did for good portion of yesterday, but still going to end up being above average day. take a look, mid 30's, mid four's, actually being reported on the map, take you out to the format,

temperatures more easily, john out in glasco, 36 of the mid who's for mary ann in browns mills, mid 40's across places in central new jersey, willow grove, barbara lane reporting at 45. so there are some places where you have a few outline ers into the 30's at the moment. for the vast majority of the area pretty much into the low or mid four's. let's take a look, absolutely stellar picture coming in from yesterday. it was kind of dull start. this one came in from ed just showing us the cloud cover. but then look how nicely it brightened up. >> this one came if from allen. actually going to go back couple here. show you the very first 1t all wrapped up with a sensational sunset. this is end out at mure a lake from mary ann out in the browns mills area where she typically reports from. so, absolutely stellar finish to the weekend, not bad start to the upcoming week, whether it is work week or another holiday for you here. we do have storm system brinking in heavy rain, thunderstorms, anywhere from the central planes down specially through texas, that's what's going to eventually nudge in the next

rounds of showers for our area, though they don't really get here, until i would say tomorrow night. for the most part. so i take you all the way to tuesday morning, starting the day off with building clouds. and most of the day we will say is partly sunny. >> this may look little more robust, this takes you all the way out to midnight wednesday. there may be few additional showers though, that are spotting the area radar by this point. again that's warmfront lifting north. and it will send us on another uphill climb. take a look. tomorrow is the coolest day of the pack. still above average at 50 degrees, so we get to wednesday, a, low 70s, possibly higher, we've got to keep an eye on that. that would be new record regardless at 71 degrees, we keep it pretty mild right through saturday, meisha? >> all right, breaking records, katie. thank you so much. we are still looking at this overturned tractor-trailer you guys mt. laurel. the morning, and happy monday going to be slow commute around the area. so new jersey turnpike northbound past route 73, all lanes are block right now. you will have to use this

alternate 295. does sounds likewise g by on that shoulder but it is very, very slow moving around this area. and it is only going to get slower. use this alternate, to help you, sounds like the driver did have injuries, was transported to the hospital. and like i said, the traffic is kind of trying to squeeze by on the shoulder but will be slow moving around there. then another accidental end town road closed between camp rock hill road and butter creek road. your alternate route 309. and you're definitely going to want to take. that will we also have third accident right now in westville, heads up. 295 southbound, before route 130, and this is going to slow you down, traveling little less than posted speeds, already, as we push toward that 6:00 hour. then we look in new jersey 42 freeway northbound creek road, what we are looking at here, push toward 295. looking okay. i would say starting to heat up little bit. like katie mentioned earlier people taking the day off maybe for president's day, the once going out there just heads up. >> this area will start to slow you down just little bit. then we look at the boulevard, this is what you are looking at push in the southbound direction. toward the schuylkill. i would say looking very

quiet, on the boulevard, then jump on to the schuylkill westbound looking pretty quiet there, too, jim, rahel, back to you. >> denver man who fell 4 feet down a chimney, is thankful to be alive. emergency responders were task with rescuing justin who fell down the him any of a law building, he is now in jail admitted he and group of friends were on the roof making what's called a hard core video, that involves moving from point to point, using obstacles along the way, the man says he was running and climbing and jumping, when he dropped through the chimney. >> they jumped off, off the edge, my feet were 2 feet above the other one, dropped down, fell through the top of it. >> nearly two hours would pass before denver if i crews could reach henkel. he was treated for minor injuries. then arrested and charged with trespassing. >> police in florida are se searching for the suspect followed a vehicle up to the drive-thru of mcdonald's then robbed the place. there is the suspect sneaking
