nice and clear for us, as we overlook the lehigh campus there, storm scan, pretty much everybody is starting things off on nice clear note. out toward lancaster county delaware, starting to see little vale of cloud cover, begin to build in, that's as a result of the warmfront again approaching our area. are we going to see much weather out of this? i don't think so. it doesn't look at this point like we will see much more than maybe few speckles of green showing up on the radar as early as this evening, through the overnight, into early tomorrow. but definately not a deluge, by any stretch, 34 currently at the airport, low 30's, 20's, even, in some spot this hour. and with a nice clear sky in many locations, yes it, will get little chilly here this morning, so i would bundle the kids up adequately before you hit the road here. we do expect more sunny than anything before the clouds start to build later today, for the ride home about 52, but i think we will peak around 53 this afternoon, meisha. >> all right, katie, thank you so much. very good morning to you. happy tuesday. we are looking at 42 freeway, new jersey, if you are just

headed throughout in great company. forty-two, looking good. i will say right now 42 looking little busy than what we saw yesterday at this exact same time. and i'm thinking this will get real busy as we move into that 6:00 hour. that's what the 42 looks like, construction here limekiln closed between county line road, westminster drive. you will have to use this alternate. county line road going to be your best bet to navigate around that. we have a lot of alternates today already. and also, water main break in newark, heads up this happened at 8:40 p.m. last night. seventy-two southbound near 95, one lane blocked there. not slowing you down too much right now. in fact, know where we look right now, drop than posted speeds, head up, this could actually start to slow you down, a lot more to talk about in a little bit. jim, rahel, over to you. >> new this morning, manhunt continues for the person investigators say is responsible for two separate kidnappings in the same area. >> happened in wilmington. "eyewitness news" reporter trang do live in the cbs-3 news center more on the investigation. good morning, trang, what can you tell us?

>> good morning, rahel, jim. police believe the same man is responsible for both attacks, appears to be choosing his victims at random, from wilmington area apartment complex. new castle county police chief says he's putting around the clock resources on this case before this man strikes again. now the latest incident happened sunday night, at the arunable apartments, she came home around 7:45 p.m., approached by mask man with a gun in the common area of her apartment building. he forced her into her apartment, where he physically and sexually assaulted her. he then forced the victim into her car to four bank atm's made her withdraw an unknown amount of money. was able to escape and call 911. police believe the same man responsible for similar attack against another woman last week, at the top of the hill apartments, in wilmington. people we spoke to who live in the area say residents are on high alert. >> bothers me. i always felt safe here. now i look over my shoulder. >> i have to make sure she comes out here, makes sure she

makes it to her dark, makes it where she needs to be because this is craze. >> i police do have surveillance video from atm's that they're working to enhance, describe the man they are looking for a-eight, five-ten, medium build and discontinuing accent. jim, rahel, back to you. >> trang, thank you. >> meanwhile, in other news, 2 cents a hoax. that's what philadelphia police are saying about a reported carjacking and kidnapping in the logan section of the city. police launched a frantic search last night when pizza delivery man reported the two men with guns stole his car with a four year old inside. this was all happening near the 4600 block every sydenham street. hours late their man admitted that he had made the entire story up. now at this point it is unclear why that man lied to police, or if he will now be charged. >> police are investigating the second rooftop burglary in montgomery county this month. the thief attached, excuse me, thief target adel any hatfield, and police say the crime may have been related to

a similar incident at the cosco in king of prussia. david spunt got the full story from hatfield. >> the lansdale meats and deli on broad, the scene of mysterious crime involving suspect and a rope. hatfield police say this man, seen in surveillance video, didn't break a window to get in. he climbed on the roof and rep he'd in through this vent. owning the italian restaurant few doors down from the scene of the crime. >> when you own a business, and you have got the news that your neighbor got robbed, what, my turn is next or what? >> in a surveillance video the suspect tries to open the offers door with a clawhammer, stole cash and handgun similar to this one. criminal pattern sticks taught hatfield investigators, because on february 6 someone broke into this cosco in king of prussia to steel jewelry, and they did it by rep egg 40 feet from the roof on to the sales floor through skylight. the suspect used this rope, authorities were investigating

it both cases are related. >> the whole area, to know where to get in, use the ladder, get out. >> if you have any information about the two cases give either upper merion police or hatfield police a call. reporting in hatfield, david spunt, cbs-3, "eyewitness news." philadelphia police are investigating gunfire in olney that left three teenagers hospitalized. this happened around p 30:00 last night, on the 5500 block of north american street. state police have marked off dozens of shell casings there, authority tells us the victims between 16 and 19 years old. that last check they are in stable condition. so far no arrests. >> president trump may announce his new version of the immigration ban as early as today. like the old one, it is expected to target several mostly muslim countries. as roxanna reports, the president has also chosen a new national security advisor. >> advisor, the man every tremendous talent and tremendous experience. >> president trump followed his announcement of his new national security advisor with a post congratulating him on

facebook, writing in part: general hr mc mass letter play big part in making america safe again. mc master is active duty general known to be outspoken thinker and prominent military strategist. >> i would just like to say what a privilege it is to continue serving our nation. >> he is replacing michael flynn, forced out last week after misleading top administration officials including vice president mike pence, about his pre inauguration contact with russian diplomate n brussels on monday, mr. pence said he supported the president's decision to let flynn go. >> i was disappointed to learn the fact that had been conveyed to me by general flynn were inaccurate. >> this week mr. trump is expected to roll out a new travel and i am graduation ban to replace the one tied up in the court and cbs news has learned, homeland security secretary, john kelly, will release tough new guidelines aimed at undocumented imigrants. demonstrators used a holiday yesterday to rally across the country against the

president's policies. >> that is not the country that we want to be. >> also on monday, the white house responded to reports of bomb threats against at least ten jewish community centers nationwide. saying in part: the president has made it abundantly clear that these actions are unacceptable. roxanna, cbs-3, "eyewitness news." well, a fast moving fire spreading quicker than tanker trucks and firefighters can keep up with. >> we will have update on the flames which have already destroyed several homes. and deadly plane crash in australia, overnight, we've learned that several americans are among the victims. >> and a scene called epic breach of security, 11 travelers passed through an unmanned tsa check point at jfk airport without being screened. wait until you hear the accusations on how long it took authorities to report the problem. we will be right back.

four of the victims are america. on golfing trip when the twin engine plane went down yesterday morning slamming into a shopping mall. the pilot had reported a catostrophic engine failure just moments before the crash. while on the ground with hers, had not yet opened for the day. >> there are security concerns at new york jfk airport after several people passed through an unattended security check point. early yesterday, sources say, 11 people walked right through the unmanned security check point, three set off the metal detector, the port authority of new york and new jersey says tsa officials waited two hours before notifying them about the breach. >> security, no one doing anything. >> dangerous. in today's times, that's real dangerous. >> now the port authority says authorities identified the three who set off the detector, all of whom got onto a flight to california. well, six teens fell through the ice at new york central park, we're told all of them will be okay. it happened yesterday, at the southern end of the park, in a

off limit pond. nearby sign red: danger, thin ice, keep off. residents in colorado told to evacuate their homes after wild fire spreads to several nearby properties. the fire scorched fields and building in boulder county monday afternoon, now, initially had just covered 1 acre but quickly spread to nearby rabbit mountain. fire ultimately burned between 50 to 75 acres, dozens of trucks helped evacuate dozens every animals from barnes. >> three barnes, horses not necessarily in danger, but little too close for comfort for all every us. so we all kind of got out our trailers, are here to help evacuate as soon as the sheriff lets us in. >> local authorities confirm that at least three buildings have been destroyed by the flames. >> time now 5:13. >> a little cooler today, katie, when i walk in. i didn't bring a coat with me. was that a mistake? >> well, today, the day of the next five, that i would suggest it. >> i'm getting spoiled. >> you will be stuck indoors for the next 12 hours, right?

>> ya. >> so still going toned up being pretty nice day guys, warmfront lifting in, but it is actually still pretty chilly. nice clear sky across the region overnight, allowing the temperatures to drop off readily here. actually perfect timing jim, through up in this particular hit, the 24 hour temperature change, so also just how chilly it is by comparison to this same time yesterday in just a second. but let me just get you out, there show you what the pattern is doing, which at the moment bringing in little rain across the great lakes region out toward illinois. the combination at least the storm system crossing through, very lackluster with its moisture content for us, anyway, so this is the same storm responsible for all of that heavy flooding and thunderstorm activity across san antonio, now since moved out toward the lower mississippi valley. very heavy rainout that way, southeastern missouri for example. then the latest storm system to, across the western us, into california, and oregon state. meanwhile, this storm is what is going to be responsible for sending us on that, again, another uphill climb, in the days ahead.

now, it is interesting. a lot of times you see opposites on the different coastlines and certainly that's been the case at least here locally by comparison, all of the rain that they've had across california, so far for the month every february here in philly, at even inch worth of a deficit for the last measurable rain since february 12th. so we could use a good soak rain at this point. i don't think we really have a shot of that until saturday. for now the tell tour change, here go, 13 degrees colder than this same time yesterday. definitely chill in the air. as that is translated to the thermometer, it is 34 degrees. even though that wind is pretty calm for the most part, yes, you want to have your coat here this morning, but later today still talking above average warmth for high of 53 degrees. yes, on february 21st, not bad. tranquil day with sunshine followed up by clouds, that's all courtesy of the warmfront we mentioned, maybe you see spotty shower or sprinkle out of that. that is it. then we move forward. and there is another storm system that's scheduled to cross through here, come friday, and specially into saturday. and we towelly get some spring

like thunderstorms with this one, giles, as we will be well into the 60s, but thursday the one that kind of stands outright? seventy-two, feeling like may, we flirt with record territory. and then by sunday, we do drop off toward more typical territory at ooh degrees. meisha? >> all right, katie, thank you so much. good morning, everyone, and happy tuesday. what are we looking out outside right now? well, i have my eye on this, right here. overturned tractor-trailer, blue route northbound, ramp to schuylkill westbound, you can barely see this, hard to see, see the flashing light, this is actual lit under belly of the overturned tractor-trailer completely on it side right there. when you look at the traffic flow around this area, it is not slow at all. it actually looks really good. but his is something that absolutely will start to slow us down, as we push deeper into the 5:00 and specially as we tip into the 65:00 hour. so again, overturned tractor-trailer blue route northbound ramp, schuylkill westbound, yikes. that's going to cause some problems for us, to see that tractor-trailer, just kind of squeezing by. again, hard to see, but it is completely showing its under

belly completely flipped on it side. ninety-five south at cottman, looking here, coming around the s can you into center city looking okay. i don't see any brake lights go off. you're in great company. starting to heat up quicker than what we saw yesterday. heads up on that for those you taking interstate 95 push willing in the southbound direction, plus we have a water main break there is actually happened last night at 8:40 p.m., newark, 72 southbound near 95. one lane is blocked there. again, not slowing you down. you can still see green basically anywhere that you look around the area. it is one of those things i want to pull to your attention this morning, also accident out there elkins park car hit deer. remember early morning when the deer is still out there that can happen. make sure honk the horns little bit. brookside road at manor road where it has happened again. no slow downs around that area. rahel, back over to you. >> meisha, thank you. and now for a look at newspaper headlines from across our region. >> from the front page of the eagle, lawmakers proposing state measure that would make it hate crime to attack police. some wore that i that would
