rahel, jim. police believe the same man responsible for both attacks, appears to be choosing his victims at random from the wilmington area apartment complex cents. police chief says he is putting around the clock row sources on this case, before this man strikes again. in the latest incident happened sunday night at the arundel amounts. woman told police she came home around 7:45 p.m., approached by mask man with a gun in common area of her apartment building. he forced her into her apartment, where he physically and sexually assaulted her. he then forced the victim into her car to four bank atm's where he made her withdraw unknown amount of money. she was able to escape and call 911. police believe this same man is responsible for a similar attack, against another woman last week, at the top of the hill amounts, in wilmington. people we spoke to who live in the area say resident are on high alert. >> now, looking over my shoulders. >> i have to make sure she comes out here, makes sure she makes it to her car, news is

craze. >> i police have surveillance video from the atm working to enhance, for now they describe the man they are looking for as five-eight, five-at any, with med yum build, discontinuing accent. jim and rahel, back to you. >> trang, thank you. meanwhile we learned this morning the carjacking and kidnapping in the logan section of philadelphia that we reported last night that led police on frantic search for missing four year old, well it, turned out to be a hoax. during questioning, police say, a 22 year old man admitted that he made the entire story up. as we reported last night at 11:00 the man told police he was delivering pizza 4600 block every sydenham street when his car was stolen. he claimed the little boy he was babysitting was inside. again police now say he made the entire story up. no word yet if the delivery driver already charged. >> continue to look for the man in this surveillance video after second burglary in montgomery county this month. suspect used rope to climb down into lansdale meats and deli north broad street last

week, cash and handgun after breaking his way into the office. nearby business owner says he's nervous after hearing about the burglary. >> you own a business, and you have got the news that your neighbor got robbed. what, is my turn next or what? he started whole area to know where to get in and, you know what i mean, what, nobody knows anything at all? >> earlier this month a burglar stole jewelry from the cosco in king of prussia by rep egg through the roof. police are now looking for ties between these two crimes. >> well, small plane crashes into a shopping mall in australia killing all five people on board. >> this morning learning four of the victims are americans. this was a wreckage in mel born, the victims were on golfing vacation when the twine engine plane went down yesterday morning. the pilot reported a catostrophic engine failure just moments before the crash. no one, fortunately, on the ground was hurt. the mall had not yet opened for the day. >> the transportation security

>> welcome back everyone, authorities at california's damaged oroville dam are facing a new challenge. >> this one is right at the bottom of the spillway, massive island of concrete, debris, below the primary spillway. experts say about 150 cubic yards, now the average dump truck carries about 16 cubic yards, crews will have to get in thereto clear the mess before the power plant can get back on line. >> 60 miles south of the dam national guard helping deal with flooding from storms near sacramento. they're piling sandbags, around buildings, and other places to keep rising water in place. now, voluntary evacuations in effect. farmlands all across the valley underwater and the water damage could impact farm

prices. >> now, i feel like california has had rough weather for couple every month. >> i think i heard the other day, 57% of the state now no longer in a drought. >> yes. >> yes, you're right it, has been several years of not just extreme bye even exceptional drought in some parts of the goal end state. yes, they've had so much rain, that they've been able to scale back some of the drought concerns, but those are the kinds of problems that you get from that much water too soon. meanwhile we are not necessarily looking at much wet weather at least for the next couple every days, say for warmfront may trigger quick spotty shower or sprinkle tonight. more than anything the story is the warmth. and again, the jet stream, so far to the north it, will allow the temperatures to spike anywhere from 15 to 25 degrees above what is typical here. from mid to late week. now at the moment, when we look down across the southeast, even back toward st. louis, you can tell where cold front has yet to actually cross through. little spike on the thermometer in birmingham, charleston, cold front lifting

it's good to have you here. >> thank you. >> how prevalent is diabetes as abouting a cause of blindness? >> diabetes is the leading cause of blindness among working age adults. >> that's amazing. 29 million americans have diabetes. >> it is very scary but the good news is 90% of the vision loss caused by diabetes can be prevented. >> and how? >> by, people with diabetes, they have to see their eye doctor regularly, at least once a year to have an eye exam because diabetic eye disease has no early signs or symptoms. the only way you can detect it is by the eye exam. >> you can be going about your life, living life, driving your car, everything is fine, no symptoms? >> yes. you can have 20/20 vision and you can do everything. the damage is happening inside the eye. the only way to detect it is the the eye exam.

to be lifting in. helping to change some of the colors on the skyline, but making for some beautiful views. that said, take quick peak on storm scan3, definitely showing some of the signs of the sunlight coverage specifically clouds beginning to build in across the area, we do still generally have more clear skies than anything, so say we start the day off with more sun, but with time, eventually clouds will continue to build in. meantime, it is chillier this morning, you have dropped anywhere from five to ten to even close to 15 degrees from this same time yesterday. so definitely kill year start to the day. as it reflect on the thermometer, it is more like 35. currently at philadelphia international airport, 26 in mount pocono, and 32 with a calm wind atlantic city, that's good thing, at least the wind calm, will stay that way, right now even happen adder hard wind flow, it is a sign we do have warmfront lifting in with the southerly component to the wind flow. around the region as whole here toed, we hit who in the mountains with sun, as well. with time those clouds as i mention do begin to build

the suspect tries to open the offers door with a clawhammer. he stole cash, and a handgun, similar to this one. the criminal pattern sticks out to hatfield investigators, because on february 6th, someone broke into this cosco in king of prussia, to steel jewelry, they it by repelling 40 feet from the roof on to the sales floor through a skylight. the suspect used this rope, thursday were investigating if both cases are related. >> started whole area to know where to get in, use a ladder, get out. >> if you have any information about the two cases give either upper merion police or hatfield police a call. reporting in hatfield, david spunt, cbs-3 "eyewitness news." well, police are investigating gunfire in the city's olney section that left three teens injured. this happened just after 7:30 last night, north american street. you can see, dozens of shell casings littering the street. police tell us the victims are 19, 17, and 16 years old. at last check, they were all

the bullpens to the dugout. then when we're not on the feel helping out with the 50-50 raffles, and our awesome red goes green team. so we're doing a lot of stuff. >> it is very time consuming. when we get these home stands, we're here every day for every single game. and we do so much more than just sit on the side lines. >> what they do on the field is only 10% of the job, that's what everybody recognizes them for. we at the phillies try continuing rate them more in the community and they're community ambassadors, we have them involved in sponsor events to some of our phillies events that we have here then also outside community appearances. like school visits, hospital visits, to clinics, things like that. >> about 50 to 60 young women try out each year to make a team of around 20. so, just what does it take to secure a spot? >> ball, not only play, but understand baseball, as well. the way the ball girls are positioned on our field here is they sit right on the foul line. they are about a foot off the foul line. they really need to be into the game and understand what's going on.
