>> you are moving through and static ones where i strike a pose and hold it. so i talked to sports medicine doctor yesterday about this. he said, the evidence is really milk about which one is best. most important thing is just to make sure you are stretching, period. find ones you like thaw are comfortable with. >> now obviously for some of us running not necessarily the most pleasant experience but when do you know you may have push yourself past your limit. >> i always say pain, they say no pain in, gain. but no, no, no, we don't like that phrase. because pain indicates that something is not going right with your body. you shouldn't be in pain. if you are feeling like you have got pain that is something that should clue you into seeing your doctor. other ways we can prevent injuries. we talk about warming up, stretches. rest in between work outs. the don't go hard every single day. that may cause some problems. wear right footwear, make sure you get right shoes.
6:53 am
don't over do it. work to your level of fitness. if you have never work out don't go run 26 miles in one day. and of course don't forget the cool down following your race or your running. is there any foods better prepare you to run. i have a friend that swears by peanut butter toast every morning. the and then something with more carbs afterward. do you have any opinion on that. >> yes and no. i personally from a medical standpoint think some carbs and protein are a way to go but once again i think everybody is different. it depend how you feel. you want to make sure you have proper nutrition that is definitely key. >> orders from doctor jen. good to see you. >> we will be right back with three to go.
