the new jersey pine land are one of the state's most treasured that are resources and as such building in the forest requires special permission. friday the state pine land commission will vote on a proposal pie south jersey industries to run a 22-mile natural gas pipeline from commercial township in cumberland county to the power plant in piecely's point. the conservation to say the pipeline does not pass muster. >> every time you compromise the plan or manipulate it to survey particular purpose you weaken it. >> reporter: new jersey pine land preservation alliance has been fighting off the pipeline for three years. they say it does not meet legal standard for disrupting pine land because would it benefit people living outside pine land and even though most of the pipeline will run under or along existing road, they say it could still hurt the environment. >> what happens today as you build it, effect you have on the wetlands, on the rare plants, animals. and what effect you have to in the future when you as the infrastructure ages. >> reporter: but governor and

forecast. long term use of certain heartburn medications could lead to serious kidney damage according to a new study. >> health reporter stephanie stahl is here to explain these drugs. >> an estimated 15 million, people exactly americans use these heartburn medications, regularly. new research says they can cause a silent type of kidney damage where patients might not have have symptoms right away. drugs potential kidney damage are pro ton pump inhibitors, p p thei's that include popular ones like prilosec, and nexium >> these are incredibly safe drugs. there are risk is associated with every drug. >> reporter: doctor katz, chair of gastroenterology at einstein montgomery says it is unclear exactly how the drugs might harm kidneys. research found that people who use them have a 20 to 50 percent higher risk of chronic kidney disease
