in two separate batches, one late this morning in the northern counties and squall line moves in this afternoon and into the early evening. so little later in the show we will track that specifically but get to out the door it is very, very warm already. fifty-seven at the airport. fifty-eight in trenton. fifty-seven from lancaster to allentown. really significant warmth to start the day. as we are expecting daytime high to sore to the mid 70's here that is definitely going to provide a good clash in the atmosphere with this potent cold front crosses through. it is technically just coming out of meteorological winter. you don't necessarily have an atmosphere that can hold kind of moisture that this is providing. so storms will erupt quickly and bring drenching downpours but more details on timing, a little bit later and main impact that we are expecting. >> that is what we're waiting to hear, thank you so much for that looking outside though we woke up and there were a couple accidents out there. they have for the most part been moved out of our way.

i live in an upstairs apartment. i got in the bath tub to survive and my whole street is wrecked. >> now, the national weather service issued a tornado watch in northern and central illinois until 10:00 o'clock. tonight. over in missouri high winds reportedly blew cars right off of the roads overnight. the system is making its way across the country and expected to hit indiana and ohio next. well, back here in our area a man is shot and killed in the feltonville section of philadelphia. shooting happened overnight in the 4900 block of rising sun avenue just off the boulevard, police are not releasing many details except that they rushed victim to the hospital where he was pronounced dead. we did spot private surveillance in that area so hopefully that can help with the investigation. and just about an hour later another deadly shooting this one in north philadelphia , from 31 year-old man was shot and killed at lehigh avenue just before 3:30 this morning. investigators are questioning

an eyewitness and searching for a car spotted leaving the scene. police have no suspects and no motive for the violence. a man accused of killing his aunt in port richmond is in police custody this morning this is suspect andrew cruttenden, he was in the shooting death of his aunt virginia cruttenden, now police found victim shot in the head inside her home in the 3200 block of mercy street last friday. her nephew was arrested hours after the city offered a $20,000 reward in the case. reward is up to $50,000 for information leading to rest to those who damaged a jewish cemetery. dozens of volunteers spent the day cleaning up mount carmel cemetery in wissonoming yesterday, just last weekend vandals toppled more than 100 grave stones. volunteers will continue repairing cemetery later today there is a court hearing involving man facing more than a dozen charges including rape of the child. prosecutors say that lee kaplan sexually abused at least six sisters inside his lower bucks county home. he fathered two children with the eldest sister.

spring. >> you have to announce ate that one. >> we are looking at a day of, you know, not a wash out but we will find some particular times of the day that are likely more stormy then others one little round moves in late this morning and most feisty storms come later this afternoon. we will track it, time it out, take a look at storm scan. good place to start, right. note that is line, that is setting up back over northwestern ohio, back into indiana, that is leading edge of your cold front. that is where we have a serious clash taking place. this batch out in advance of it is just a lot of moisture. we have high dew points, such warm air to work with and winter jet stream basically. this is trying to move this system along. when you have got a clash like that set up you will see thunderstorms erupt quickly, because a wintry, quote unquote even though it has been so warm a wintry atmosphere cannot hold moisture. very heavy downpours erupt as a result, all these can do is

just empty themselves out of the moisture that they are trying to hold. we will eventually end up with heavier rain later this morning. rest of the next couple hours right through our show, i think we're good. it is muggy, foggy but here's when we see that first round coming in towards tail end of the morning rush northwestern counties included with that. i don't think philadelphia is. you might see a quick shower but the morning should be fine then we should brighten up. more sunshine we get more volatile these storms can become. as early as 3:00 p.m. those storms rumbling through chester county, delco and even before the hour is over second half an hour of the 3:00 o'clock hour it is crossing the river. these are fast storms that will hit before you blink, but they will bring heavy rain very likely and also some, very gusty winds. i'm getting wrap. let me jump to the seven day, win, heavy downpours but we will hit 75 in the meantime, flirt with record territory and then temperatures drops off quickly by tomorrow, meisha. >> katie, thanks very much.
