good morning i'm jim donovan. i'm rahel solomon. katie and meisha is keeping an eye on things talking about potential storms. >> yes, yikes. we're looking outside at the roadways and we are looking okay. only thing in terms of the weather is fog, commodore barry bridge is seeing speed restrictionness play. just a heads up on that. >> you will find those issues signature in the warm sector of the storm where we have lots of moisture. for the moment light wind and undercover of the darkness helps that fog to form because with the drop in temperature overnight we will see typically anyway those temperatures have a chance to get closer to the dew point and closer they are more saturated air mass ends up in short you can get fog to form. we are still on storm watch but they will not get here for at least a couple of hours. there will be one round that moves in late this morning and more than anything that is heavy rain and it is true for northwestern counties but other round, more feisty round gets here later this afternoon at the moment for the most part we are calm, but as meisha mentioned there are

visibility problems and with that said we will go out to the map. not terrible every where, we will not find this every where but where we have fog it is creating headaches, millville, ac airport, wildwood check in at a mile visibility and under a mile in wilmington. traveling over area bridges and riverbeds that kind of thing is where we will find worst of the fog and we're a city surrounded by a river. that could a problem. fifty-six at the airport. very, very mild start, but again with time even though we will flirt with records and that high of 75 we have stormy weather on the way as a trade off and those storms turn strongest later today. >> all right, katie, good to know this morning. also for our evening commuters , later commuters as well. good morning. happy hump day looking outside we are looking at i-95 in the northbound direction at commodore barry bridge, first thing that pops out at us is that fog. that will be posing problems on our commute this morning. one problem of which we will start to see speed restrictions which is what we're seeing on the commodore barry bridge right now.

it was 35 miles an hour. they have dropped it down to 25 miles an hour because of the visibility issues and that fog. heads up moving out in anywhere in this area just know we are dealing with fog and that will slow you down a little bit. we have got construction here 295 southbound before route one, one to two lanes blocked, that will be out there until 5:00 a.m. it should lift right around now. i'll confirm when it does. this is more withstanding 295 south ramp to route one southbound is closed until march 15th. that will be lingering just a little bit longer. we have more construction to talk about coming up in a bit. rahel. back to you. >> thank you. new this morning philadelphia police are investigating a pair of deadly shootings. first happened 2:30 in the 4900 block of rising sun avenue in feltonville. police are saying they rushed a man to the hospital where he was pronounced dead. we spotted several private surveillance cameras in the area so hopefully that helps with the investigation. just about an hour later another deadly shooting in north philadelphia. thirty-one year-old man was

shot and killed, on lehigh avenue just before 3:30 this morning. investigators are questioning a eyewitness and searching for a car spotted leaving the scene. so far police have no suspects and no motive for violence. well, police are hoping that money talks as they look for culprits who vandalized a jewish cemetery in philadelphia's wissonoming section. >> reward leading to an arrest has increased, volunteers will return to mount carmel cemetery as they continue to make repairs. "eyewitness news" reporter trang do is live with the update, good morning, trang. >> reporter: good morning, rahel and jim. at this point police do not have any leads but that reward money stands at $15,000. in the meantime a community effort is underway to not only fix damage here but make sure it does not happen again. some have family buried in mount carmel cemetery. >> it was impossible not to come. >> reporter: others share the jewish faith. >> it is utterly disgusting that somebody, this is not just one person but a group of people, that people could do

this. this is outrageous. >> reporter: many came to undue work of the vandals who damaged more than 100 headstones over weekend had no link, at all. >> it seems like the right thing to do at the time. >> reporter: other than a desire to help their fellow man. by noon time the cemetery was teaming with people, including a group of school children seen firsthand that love try ums over hate. >> when i heard of it, it was heart breaking. i didn't know what to say or think. then a rabbi asked us to help it was just i thought it was just the help and support the jewish community. >> reporter: while police do not have leads they have stepped up patrols around the cemetery. volunteers say they will keep coming until each grave stone that was desecrated was made right again. volunteers are expected back out here around noon time in the meantime a professional company will also be brought out here to overturn these heavy headstones, and fix the broken once but for now we are

and rahel. by all accounts president trump needed to move past chaotic start of the administration, last night he gave republicans exactly what they wanted a presidential pivot. >> the time for trivial fights is behind us. >> reporter: president trump hit reset button on his young administration on tuesday night, in his address to congress, he stuck to the script and offered a road map for overhauling obama care. >> we should ensure that americans with preexisting conditions have access to average. >> reporter: he made a case for his $54 billion surge in defense spending to partly help veterans. >> our veterans have delivered for this nation and now we must deliver for them. >> reporter: mr. trump's hour long address, drew several rounds of applause. >> we are also taking strong measures to protect our nation from radical islamic terrorism >> reporter: on social media

also as soon as today issue another 90 day travel ban executive order, only this time, jim and rahel we are told it will not include the country of iraq. >> okay, busy day for the president, don, thank you. a protest at pennsylvania senator patrick toomey's philadelphia office ends in an arrest. police arrested nine people on disorderly conduct after they staged a sit in and refused to leave. protesters were demanding republican senator hold an in person town hall meeting. senator toomey's office told "eyewitness news" that the staff met last week and were unavailable because of an office move scheduled for later today. deadly tornadoes are taking hold in the midwest as severe weather system moves across the country. storm chasers caught a tornado as it touched down in ottawa, illinois. four tornadoes were confirmed damaging 50 homes. state's governor issued a state of emergency last night, two people have been confirmed dead, and while dozens of others have been injured.

elderly man stuck inside that car, and they threw a safety vest over him and dragged him to shore. rescue effort took four fire departments and helicopter. strong river currents could have swept up the car had crew s not arrived. glad to see them there. federal investigators are trying to figure out what caused a small plane to crash in the massachusetts condo killing the man. >> home built plane crashed in the roof of the condo building yesterday afternoon killing the pilot. faa says the plane was trying to land when lost control no one was inside the unit hit by the plane but there was a van in the condo next door. >> there was a big crash, a boom, and the whole building shook, and we looked out my back window there and i could see insulation was falling off of the roof. >> pilot has been identified as al lavender a former city counselor and mayor of a nearby town new berry port. this fire has destroyed four homes in texas.

>> nearby neighborhoods were forced to evacuate as crews battled that blaze. they said more than 800 residents were affect. crews estimate 20 homes were saved but over 20,000 or 2,000 e burned. no word what sparked the fire and so far no injuries have been reported. when you look at that video and see the flames, wind , i'm telling you wind, fire, bad combination. >> yes, bad recipe absolutely. katie, what does it look like, time it out for us. >> we have one batch in the morning and one in the afternoon, late afternoon towards early evening. timing is less than ideal and for morning drive most of us will stay dry but now that we are in the warm sector of the storm system we have to battle fog issues and definitely very mild beginning to the day here but let's go ahead and put my show in play and give it a look here at storm scan three, this will show you better what the storm system, where and what it is doing. we are seeing frequent lightening. right on the tail end, of the loop here. you can see that.

it mixes in with heavy rainfall. you can see lightening strikes that show up outside pittsburgh. as this moves into the northwestern counties since this is basically moving north east it is northwest of the city that will see first round coming in with thunder and lightening but more than anything heavy downpours. then we have the actual cold front passage happening later this afternoon after we have had a chance to warm up, get sunshine, get that stability going. latest update from the storm prediction center we sit in the slight risk region on wide marginal further north then it did yesterday but now we have enhanced risk for strong to severe weather. that creepness to western most lancaster counties. that is where your travel take you keep in mind you may end up with more feisty storms out that way. records to beat today are setback in 1972, that was a very warm day march 1st 1972. here are numbers to beat. here in philadelphia we will come close. seventy-six is the number.

seventy-two atlantic city. mid 70's in reading, wilmington. not much hurdle to get over with in allentown. you have a shot in allentown. outside palmyra cove nature park we have a nice reflection coming off of the city sky line because is there so much cloud cover low to the ground. just watch for those fog issues. current temperatures are in the mid to upper 50's. real surplus on the thermometer readings this morning. meanwhile again one round of the storms late this morning eight to 10:00 a.m. northwestern counties especially. necks round comes in. window is three to seven from west to east with that thin line of nasty storms. it is all out. we will cool down. get this a couple of snow showers by friday morning. >> what? >> you heard me right, meisha. >> so depressing, isn't it? we are thinking we are making headway, all right. forty-two freeway north bound at creek road thinks what we are looking at pushing in the north bound direction towards 295. overpass 20 minutes this has heated up.

forty-two freeway we know you can heat us up in the morning in the 5:00 o'clock hour. that is what we are seeing. schuylkill taillights in the eastbound direction at the boulevard. you can see here, yeah, kind of a thin veil of fogging on. this isn't the only area we are seeing fog, i-95 headlights are moving in the northbound direction, commodore barry bridge but we are seeing fog here as well. and because we are seeing fog here which we know will pose visibility issues for us, we have some speed restriction ness play. you are down to 25 miles an hour on the commodore barry bridge. it was 35 miles an hour. we're talking 25. that is slow. that is what you want to be driving with this kind of fog. heads up. that will slow us down no doubt bit. we have some construction out there that is now out of our way, 295 southbound that has been since clear. this long standing ramp to route one south is closed until march 15th, rahel, back over to you. meisha, thank you. now for newspaper headlines across our region. >> front page of the delaware
