2nd. >> i'm just happy it is thursday. >> katie and meisha are keeping an eye on things. >> we're making headway. >> it is coming. >> good morning, everybody. we are looking outside on the roadways we have down trees, debris blowing around. a lot of issues that even oversized commercial vehicle drivers want to know about a lot going on this morning. >> all wind driven, very blustery outside right now. with the high wind warning in effect at the moment, up until 10:00 a.m. whole region is dealing with this. granted we don't have every single county covered here but all counties that are shaded in that orange coloring we have a wind advisory. no one is immune, it is windy every where but just more windy in these counties. gusts peeking as high as 60 miles an hour. for the most part what i have seen is gusts up to the mid 40 's so far. lets see where we are. we are at 40 miles an hour at reading, 29 in philly, still very noticeable, 35 in trenton and its goes on, 41 in mount

pocono. high profile vehicles don't tend to do very well in these winds outside on the open highways, are careful traveling around them. we have departing cloud cover, skies are clearing really nicely, just windy outside and see that wind driven moisture pushing across northwestern most suburbs. mostly not even verifying at the ground. we have a couple left over clouds. thursday pans out like this high wind warning until 10:00 a.m. still quite breezy the rest of the day but that is when that washing will expire. meantime we will hit right around 50 degrees and stay there somewhat steady temperatures for the day as the chillies still, making its arrival here. we will have reenforcement toss get that going by the weekend and we will talk about that later on, meisha. >> thanks very much. glad we will see sun today even though yes, very windy, look at our camera shot of the burlington bristol bridge. burlington bristol bridge scheduled to go up at 5:50. it should be coming up soon. with you look at that wind.

we will talk about this all morning long, katie was just touching on it, again, because it will impact your commute this morning. high wind warning until 10:00 a.m. if you have flight schedules make sure to check those schedules on line, you will want to do that. also oversized commercial vehicle drivers, you are ban ned right now from the pennsylvania turnpike between reading and new jersey and northeast extension between mid county and manhoning valley because of high winds. that is something to factor in for sure. also, we have five down trees, that are still out there, first one, route 100 north bound at moyer road. road is partially blocked here use an alternate. gilbertsville road is your best bet. we have another one out here, mill street at sycamore avenue this one fell into a house. also has down wires. then we have another one jenkintown at railroad crossing that could possibly pose delays, more on that coming up in the next 10 minutes. jim, over to you. philadelphia mayor jim kenney is presenting his budget to council. $4 billion budget includes a reduction in the city wage tax

, falling to 3.9 percent for residents. also included is more than 100 million-dollar, for street resurfacing, there are also increases to hire more paramedics and fire fighters and buying more fire department vehicles. the cities fiscal year begins july 1st. pepsi is cutting jobs and blaming philadelphia's sweet and beverage tax for its decision. soda giant has announced it will eliminate 80 to 100 jobs over next few months. pepsi recorded a 40 percent drop in sales, since the 1.5 cents per ounce on sweetened drinks went into effect in january. >> reporter: despite his denials federal officials have confirmed that attorney general jeff sessions met twice with the russian envoy during campaign 2016 but they came while sessions was still a u.s. senator and spokesperson says conversations were among many he had with foreign ambassadors at the time. the justice department confirms to cbs news that attorney general jeff sessions , spoke with russian envoy, sergei twice during the presidential campaign, but a spokesperson for sessions say they were part of the many conversations he had with foreign ambassadors as a member of the arms services committee. meetings were first reported in the washington post on wednesday. sessions was top advisor to the trump campaign and he did not disclose encounters when asked about possible contacts between members of the president trump's campaign and representatives of the moscow during his january confirmation hearing. >> i have been called a surrogate at a time or two in the campaign and i did not have any communications with

kutztown area middle school camera. you can see sun off in the distance but colors were so cool. northwest win at 21 miles an hour, everyone is either wind advisory or high win warning. most of us are in high wind warning. that is because of the storm system that really rocks, the atmosphere here yesterday, making its departure. off to the west a sliver of snow, across dakotas, northwestern iowa, that is what hits us tomorrow, and then i know we say snow and immediately makes you go on high alert. i don't think you have to worry that much. we will explain why. look at current snow cover with that storm we have some snow cover that is more than just one state south of the canadian border at this point in the dakotas but still nothing, at all, not even in the poconos, in terms of the current snow pack say for what is manmade on the slopes. it is a very sparse year, or season for snowfall up that way. lets talk future snow. we will go into tomorrow afternoon as this crosses through.

easy, one from an addiction and something that sadly many of us are connect to in some way. other come back from a rare brain disease and tumor that nearly killed him. he was a two time state lacrosse champion at ridley high school, two time all american at maryland. he played for the philadelphia wings in major league lacrosse this is bill mcgloin this was bill mcgloin. >> i felt pains in the right side, i could not run, i had my girlfriend drive my car when we would go down the shore because i could not put my right foot down, and after that i got an mri. doctors says you have a large mass in your left frontal lobe >> reporter: he was diagnosed with a rare condition, causing inflammation of the brain. it meant having to remove a large chunk of his skull. following the surgery it was a long road back. >> i woke up paralyzed on the right side. that is when fear started to sneak in a little bit. >> reporter: he would relearn to walk, function as well as

he had prior to the surgery. but as he said this wasn't even the toughest come back he had to make. >> when i go through process of bryn mawr rehab, and the hospital and stuff, like i relied heavily on my past experience of going through my addiction and i getting over that, and so that was toughest thick i had to ever go through >> reporter: prior to his medical condition mcgloin over came and opioid addiction brought on by several serious injuries while playing lacrosse. after all of the injury, he was induct in the pennsylvania lacrosse hall of fame. >> it was an amazing honor, beyond words, i cannot really describe it. >> that is trophy bill received after his index in the hall of fame. he is back in the sport working with thrilling lacrosse, largest education and event companies connected with the sport. he sees it as a miracle he was able to beat both issues but he admits that the least cover ry never stops. so it is an incredible photo, macing story. >> yes.
