the reelection, i'm roxanna in new york that story coming up. and here at home, it is frigid start to this friday morning. this is a live look at bethlehem. katie is tracking the chance for some snow showers today. yes, we said snow. >> today is friday, march 3rd, tgif everyone, good morning, i'm jim donovan. >> i had a feeling all every us were going to say that. >> i'm rahel solomon. >> good morning, guys, yes, the week send here. but usually friday morning in the traffic department we're kicking our feet up, watching you guys working hard. it is so busy this morning, guys, just cracking the 5:00 hour weaver everything from water main breaks, accidents, construction, but something on 95, i want to talk about coming up a little more serious. >> i can't imagine the wet we are have anything to do with it but we do. like you guys say, snow showers on the way, not here yet though, but more than anything we do have hint after breeze, not the wind of yesterday certainly. so i don't think that at least for the morning drive that the weather is going have any kind

of immediate impact on your travels here, but later today as we are tracking snow showers that's possiblement looking outside from our central parkway library camera overlooking the franklin institute, logan square, reminder very proud partners in the official partners, and very proud of that. things are nice and quiet. all clear out there. say for what you are starting to see fire up out here across portions of lancaster county and specially maryland, we zoom it out, all from clipper system guys. it is all already very, very scattered. clippers by there their very nature do not have with them temperatures low 30's, it is a heck of a lot colder this morning on the thermometer than it was this same time yesterday. but no where near as windy. so, you know, you can definately compare the two for different reasons here. but looking at the current winds speeds, that's a breath of fresh air, no pun intended, winds has eased up for us, will pick again with this clipper but at the moment not too harsh. >> great. that sound good, katie, thank you so much. so, like katie pointed out not so much weather-related but

very busy. we have medical emergency here, 95 north, before the walt whitman bridge, heads up on this. if you can avoid the area, i would actually suggest at this point even though it is still early, only 5:00 in the morning right now, but still avoid t starting to see some i wouldn't say backups, but a lot of people out there already. you are tapping your brakes as go by there, hopefully now, actually moving out of the way. good. disregard what i just said. you can go out there and drive around, it will be fine. how much, we did just have that medical emergency. good news is no pile up now. it actually looks good. ninety-five north before the walt whitman bridge you're okay. we do however still have this accident out there penn wynn. haverford road at medford road, out there for little bit now, still out there. i'll let you know that clears. water main break in egg harbor city new jersey talking about in the next ten minutes, jim, rahel, back to you. >> updating breaking news this morning in the city mt. airy section. >> four people are shot overnight leaving a bar. "eyewitness news" reporter jan carabeo live on germantown avenue with the latest on the investigation. jan, good morning, what can

you tell us? >> reporter: rahel, good morning, we're told a group of about 20 people actually inside after bar and restaurant here in mt. airy overnight having a good time listening to a concert. when this bar and restaurant closed right around 2:00 a.m., that crowd spilled out into the street, then for some rena argument turned into a fight, then someone pulled out a gun. four people in all were shot. including a woman who was bartending here overnight. police say she and other employees were trying to break up the fight when she was shot. police were in the area when they heard those gunshots. they rush here to the 7100 block of germantown avenue to find that woman injured, and cars racing from the scene. one of those cars crashed into a pole just about six blocks away at germantown and upsal. twenty-six year old man was in that car and taken to the hospital suffering multible gunshot wound. he's now in critical condition this morning. now, while north detective were here investigating the scene, they got word that two other men, a 25 year old, and 26 year old, also showed up at

area hospital shot. they're both in stable condition. police are now trying to sort out exactly what happened here, and what sparked the argument, that turned violent. and investigators believe all of the victims and the shooter were inside of this bar and restaurant before the gunfire broke out. >> we strongly believe that the shooter was actually inside the bar restaurant right before the fight and the shots were fired and there are cameras working cameras that are inside the bar restaurant. more than likely that individual was caught on camera prior to this incident taking place. >> so police have a lot to sort out. they recovered a lot of evidence, including eight spent shell casings, they currently have not recovered any weapons, but they do have number of vehicles that they still have to search. they're awaiting search warrants this morning, again, four people shot, including a bartender here, trying to break up the fight. she is in stable condition. two other men are in stable condition. that man, 26 year old, who was found just blocks from a car,

in critical condition this morning, and at this point it is unclear whether any of these victims are also the shooter and the suspect. we will continue to sort this out. for now live in mt. airy, jan carabeo, cbs-3, "eyewitness news," jim, rahel, back to you. >> we'll check in with you in the next hour. >> repair crews working to to fix this gigantic hole that opened up on port richmond street. the pothole has been boarded up at east clearfield and coral street. one vehicle was damaged after it got stuck in the hole. >> president trump is standing by his attorney general, jeff sessions, while downplaying another previously undisclosed contact between members every his campaign and russian officials. sessions recuse dollars himself yesterday from any justice department investigation, related to russian meddling in the 2016 presidential election. cbs news correspondent roxanna has the latest. >> reporter: president trump issued a statement thursday night calling attorney general jeff sessions to quote, honest man. labeling the controversy a total which hunt designed to save face for democrats losing

the election. >> i have recused myself in the matter. >> even with the full support of the president, sessions recused himself yesterday from any justice department investigation into russian contact with the presidential campaign. this after admitting he should have been cleared during his confirmation hearing in january about his meeting with russian a.m. bamm door. >> and in retrospect, i should have slowed down and said but i did meet one russian official, a couple of times. >> appearing on fox news the former alabama senator continued to maintain his innocence. >> i don't believe anybody that was in that meeting would have seen or believed i said one thing that was improper or unwise. >> lindsay gram called sessions recusal the best decision for the country and the department of justice. but many democrats say it is not enough. >> the fact that the attorney general, top cop in our country, lied under oath is grounds for him to resign.

>> senior white house official confirmed to cbs news yesterday mr. trump's son in lawn, jared kushner, former national security advisor, michael flynn, both met with ambassador back in december at trump tower. they describe the meeting as inconsequential hello that lasted for ten to 20 minutes. roxanna, cbs-3, "eyewitness news." and meanwhile, vice president mike pence is under fire this morning for reportedly using a private e-mail account while governor every end an ann. according to the indianapolis star, used the account to communicate with top advisors, you may recall vice president mike pence criticized hillary's use after private e-mail servers. >> disturbing chester county home invasion. victim found tide up in a closet four days after the attack. police say the 17 year old suspect who is originally from thailand ran away from devereaux east brandywine campus, that's behavioral health fast i at this, accused of tying up, beating trying to

strag the woman on february 22. before leaving the woman's home, police say the teen wrapped the victim's head in a plastic bag, tossed her in a storage room where she was found alive four days later. >> when he was strangling her, when he was choking her out, he said to her during the course of this attack: you're going see jesus soon. >> police say the suspect randomly targeted the woman taking her credit cards and stealing her car in the process. detective were later able to link him to surveillance video at a convenience store. >> parents and grandparent are upset over plans to shut down a camden community charter school for poor performance. the new jersey department of education rejected the charter school's renewal application. state officials say the school's park test scores were the lowest among all of the charter schools in camden. the decision leaves nearly 700 student in limbo. >> for me to start another place, another school, is, you know, i'm not really happy about that. >> i don't know for nobody

wild car chase. suspected stolen car, speeding down the highway, exceeding 100 miles per hour. suspect ran red lights, then went under overpass, ditching the car, trying give office areas slip. meanwhile suspect jumped several fences, hidden backyards, before being taken into custody. good effort. >> and flint michigan the mayor says her city needs more time for corrosion studies before it can begin to supply it own water again. state managers had switched water worses in 2014 from detroit water to the flint river to save money. but the river's corrosive water caused lead to leak from aging pipes, and resident have relied on bottled water for the past three years. >> ee vick agents orders, in toledo, forced several out of their home, lithium plant, releasing potentially toxic fumes, could make it difficult to breathe. making matters worse together water and lithium are come but the bus recall. so they were weary about

have to be on unpaved surfaces so not forecasting any major disruption out of this. get caught in a snow shower though sometimes that can reduce your visibility. meantime back in time to start things off, back to some of the wind gusts where we ended up peaking yesterday. newtown square, it did pretty well here. look at that, 57-mile per hour winds gust reported, northeast philly, 53-mile per hour gust, wissinoming we had 50. so, you know, very, very blustery morning, if you were outside at all yesterday, you know that very well. so do we have that kind of caliber of wind today? thankfully not. but it is still sort of breezy. you have another system moving in here. clipper. remember, clippers by their nature have cup old of jobs it do. their main characteristic is to reinforce the cold. very often are moisture starved as this one is, and very often will also zip across the map, as this one will be doing as well. so only with us through the midday, then we have to wore bit scattered snow showers, but then that's all out of here, left with high pressure. but arctic air in place. couple of very wintery days here specially through the upcoming weekends, one of the

colds he is weekends we've had in weeks, however, with time, into next week, we will see high pressure yield, more after southerly flow, kicks back in here, it will help the warmth surge again, and you will see that reflect in the our seven day forecast, so kind of inconsistent pattern, below average into the weekend, bitter, very bitter cold on sunday morning, but then we rebounds extremely efficiently into next week. so, outside we go to one of the cold he err spot of our live neighborhood network, where the winds is very light right now. but it is 25 degrees. really cold start out there. meanwhile taking it forward here, temperature at best hits 40. scattered snow showers again, expected pretty much through midday, then we clear it out tonight, drop down to 23 degrees, my goodness, take a look, though, at sunday morning, 18, that will be cold start if you are headed out to church or maybe sunday brunn every, bundle up, we warm up to the 60s by tuesday. >> haven't had that in a while, colds temperatures. thank you, good morning, been really busy in the world of travel already this morning, just headed out the door, you

will have to factor into your plans, i don't usually like to say that on a friday, we kick up our feet a little bit more. looking busy, one thing i will say 95 south at girard heating up little quicker than we typically see on a friday morning, we know it heats up every day. but i would say, for this kind of, for it to look like this already, at 5:00 a.m., that's busier than what we typically see. schuylkill eastbound near spring garden, little same story here, not maybe heating up as 95 south at girard but it is, see how many of your neighbors and friends are out there right now. heads up on that. now we do have water main break, it happened around 3:30 a.m., egg harbor city, main street at philadelphia avenue. you will want to use that avenue, south cologne avenue your best bet. also getting some tweets in this morning, just from activity going around here, so eagle, my buddy said good morning; there an accident at huntingdon pike in abington in the answer waist going on is a manhole cover came off and leaking water in the area. so huntingdon park at cedar avenue, you want to use this alternate, shady lane or fox
