lives of civilians during gun battle with suspects. alexandria hoff is live 22'nd police department with more on how he's being remembered. >> reporter: sergeant robert wilson's name is on a plaque in front of the 22'nd district headquarters. today's event worked to make sure that name is never forgot end. >> from the hands of family and philadelphia police officers to the sky. nearly two years after sergeant robert wilson's line of duty death dozens cam out to honor his legacy. >> last conversation was about life and what we were going to do in the future. and he didn't have a chance to fulfill that. i had that chance. take everything more seriously. >> reporter: damian steven soon wilson's partner of two and a half years was outside the game stop on saturday, march 5, 2015 when wilson was fatally shot as he was purchasing a gift for his son. he happened to be there as an

attempted robber was taking place. he has been credited for saving the lives of the civilians. two suspects were charged with murder. >> it never gets easier. the memory is always there. >> we want to get up and think about him all day can. >> reporter: his mother chose not to release her balloon, she will take i the home with her instead. i should reminder of the charming son that she lost two two years ago. >> always looking after us. >> reporter: wilson was an eight-year veteran of the force. reporting live in north philadelphia, alexandria hoff cbs3 "eyewitness news." >> thank you. also tonight investigators have now identified the victim of a deadly hit-and-run accident in pottstown, montgomery county. police are now looking for one of two cars that ran over 24-year-old donald pernell. at route 100 and shoemaker road before 8:00 last night. they say he was walking to his job when a dark colored pickup truck struck him and kept going.

a second vehicle hit him but that driver did stay at the scene. the manhunt is on for this group of burglars. authorities say they stole 28 handguns from john's gun and tackle room in north hampton county on february 23rd. today, the atv announced it's offering a $5,000 reward for information in this case. authorities believe the suspects may be connected to attempted burglaries at lehigh valley guns and rely lick hunters in white hall. those happened on february 23rd. human remains have been found in southern new jersey. camden county prosecutors say a leg. the top of a skull and several small bones were discovered this week on shore line near pine point park in north camden. now investigators are trying to identify those remains. the discovery is the second time in a week a human leg was discovered on the delaware shore certainly was a cold day out there have not while the temperature has been going down

over the last few days, you can feel the chill today. runners we saw on kelly drive were bundled up from head to toe. almost everyone wearing jacket, gloves and something to keep them warm. layers, we're told, are the key. >> it's actually pretty nice when you're running in this direction and the wind is pushing you along. >> i have two hats on >> dedicated runners and walkers. those taking in a morning stroll were bundled up. everyone says warmer weather spoiled them but the cold is a reminder that spring isn't here just yet. if you thought it was cooled today, bundle up winter is back for the evening as well. lauren casey is in the weather center with a look at how low it's going to go. lauren? >> i'm scared to ask you >> and you should be. brave souls out there on kelly drive getting a run in in the cold conditions. i ran yesterday and i started

crying because it was just so chilly. i didn't cry. maybe one tear. today, certainly a cold day. our coldest in a month in philadelphia. 36 degrees. the high temperature, we should be near 50 as far as our averages are concerned. this morning at 24 degrees and temperatures right now, you know, they're bitter cold, 26 in the lehigh valley, 27 in allentown, freezing mark in philadelphia and of course, to add insult to injury, we have the blustery conditions on top of these cold temperatures. wind speeds still elevated around 16, 17, 20 miles per hour with locally higher gusts. and that's having a big impact on that feels like temperature, feeling like four below right now in the poconos. feeling like 15 in allentown, 21 degrees in philadelphia. hard to believe we started off a month of march with a high temperature of 74. yes. we're going to be nowhere near that as we head to the evening hours. cold and blustery for 8:00. clear sky condition, clear skies

take us into midnight. frigid conditions by midnight. 23 degrees, we'll have the blustery winds through the first part of the evening and the winds will start to relax as we head into the second half of the overnight period. we got a cold night in store. we'll talk about how far temperatures will tumble but good news. the jet stream is going to lift up ridging is going to take place as we led into mid week. we're going to go see a quick and significant temperature turn around thigh tuesday and wednesday and i'll have the details on the cold and warm on the full forecast coming up in a few. >> thank you. tonight, president trump is accusing president obama of tapping his telephones in trump tower before the 2016 election. the president tweeted, how low has president obama gone to tap my phone during a sacred election process. this is nixon watergate. president trump did not offer any evidence or details or say what prompted him to make these allegations. one senator said there needs ton

an investigation. >> i would be very worried if in fact, the obama administration was able to obtain a warrant lawfully about trump campaign activity with foreign government. so it's my job as the united states senator, to get to the bottom of this. >> spokesman for president obama said neither president obama or any white house official ever ordered surveillance on any u.s. citizen. last week president trump suggested those who believe in his vision for the country hold a mass rally, and today, they did just that. march for trump events are being held all around the nation. >> reporter: charles clayton was democrat who changed parties to support trump. he said the president needs to stay focused on policy. >> i thought his speech was great. i, of course, i think that as far as tweeting, i think he could lay back on that a little. >> reporter: organizers say they hope everyone here continues to have energy and support other republicans in local races. in bucks county, cleve bryan cbs3 "eyewitness news." hundreds al showed their pride in the trump presidency in washington, dc. they waved american flags and trump pence campaign signs near the monument. dozens rallied outside the new york city home, trump tower. some clashed verbally with smaller groups of counter protesters. authorities say the marches had been peaceful. immigration officials may start separating children from adults when they're caught crossing the u.s. border illegally. senior official says the proposal being considered at the department of home land

security. currently people arrested with children are generally allowed to stay in the country until their court date. under the new proposal, difficulties would be detained while children would be sent to protective services or relatives. review platform yelp is getting involved in the transgender bathroom debate. they can sort based on gender neutral bathrooms. bathrooms that offer a single locking stall and are available to any gender qualify to be included. yelp's ceo has been a vocal critic of laws that force people to use bathroom for genders they do not identify with. we told you about multiple outside of pat toomey's office calling for him to host town hall meetings. this monday afternoon, we invite you to join us as senator toomey conduct as live social media conversation right here in our studios. our own jessica dean will be

in mexico where a fireworks explosion killed at least two children and injured seven others. the explosion happened in a building where gun powder is handled. it's second serious blast blast since december 20th where more than 30 were injured and killed, dozens others injured by dozens. horrifying moments aboard a double-decker bus in china. all of it captured on bus surveillance and dash cam video. one person killed when a drowsy driver nodded off about 20 seconds carrying a full bus of passengers. the bus violently crashed into a truck and crashed into a guardrail. police did say the driver did not sleep the night before, and they have detained the driver for cause, severe traffic casualties. snapchat went public this week and has a mark value of

about 24 billion dollars among its happiest investors a catholic high school in california. five years ago saints francis put in $15,000 into early seed funding on snapchat. a parent at the school convinced the investment fund to get in early and sewn, the stock split several times and they now have 2 million shares. they said 2/3 of it on friday, which came out to a divine amount cash. they sold 2/3 of it. >> selling 2/3 today probably somewhere in the neighborhood of $23 million something like that. i'm not sure we call it divine intervention but i'll tell you what, it is we can turn $15,000 into the vast amount of money this return will bring, then you have to say god is looking out for us. >> st. francis say a lot will go toward an endowment that will be used for financial aid. lauren casey is here with us now. boy, it was cold. i was walking around the city.

have clear sky condition, clouds passing throughout the day. otherwise up and down the i95 corridor, all is quiet with high pressure and control. getting a live look right now, clear skies and frigid temperatures. 32 north wind up around 17 miles per hour. so feeling more like 21 degrees. our forecast overnight, 17 degrees. that will be our coldest in philadelphia since january 10th, and we only fallen into the teens so far this season five times. so tonight is going to feel quite brutal down to 11 degrees in the lehigh valley. three degrees in mount pocono. even dropping down into the teens along the coast and future feels like temperatures despite the fact that the winds are going to let up a bit significantly as we head to midnight. but a little bit of breeze and these temperatures are going to have us feeling like single digits along the i95 corridor as we're waking up on sunday. eight below in mount pocono. near 0 in the lehigh valley and

18 in the late morning hour, feels like temperatures in at the teens and 20's. much of our reporting sites. despite the fact our temperatures will climb up to near 40 degrees in the afternoon, feels like temperatures are going to stay in the 20's throughout the afternoon and evening hours. despite the fact that we are going to be a blustery conditions tomorrow. overnight, clear skies, feeling like single digits down to 17 degrees northwest winds at around ten miles per hour, we'll lose stronger wind gusts overnight. and tomorrow, the winds much more kind to us, northwest to westerly around five to ten miles per hour, the temperatures still running well below average. high temperature 39 and forecast highs all across the delaware valley chilly again tomorrow, 37 for high in trenton. we'll top off at 34 in reading, 35 the high temperature forecasted for allentown. it's going to be cold but sunny across the region. sunny skies less wind but still a bit of a cool breeze in the poconos with the high temperature only of 28 degrees.

as i did mention, march 12th sunset will be at 7:04. that will be so nice. and something to look forward to in the temperature department. so degrees as we head into monday after the cold weekend. sunshine late day loud. next rain chance monday and into tuesday with scattered showers, up to 64 then temperatures take another big tumble. as has been the trend over the last couple week, 46 for the high on thursday. back up into the 50's for the start of next weekend. >> get back there slowly >> slowly >> we'll jump up, back down, all around. >> another big event happening next sunday. selection sunday. march madness going to get underway very soon, villanova closing out the regular season against georgetown, a homecoming of sorts for senior josh hart and kris jenkins from the area. to the first half nova trailing by four, josh hart hits three pointer to cut the lead to one.
