eastbound side will start to heat up in a little bit. accident investigation here. accident happened 2:00 a.m. new jersey turnpike north bound between inner and outer split at 195, one left lane has been opened. if you want to squeeze around or avoid the area here alternates, we will tell you more coming up in the next 10 minutes. rahel, back over to you. thank you. peco is still working to restore power to thousands of customers still in the dark following yesterday's fire at a substation, as a result, girls high and ew rhode island middle school will be closed. it at one point, 20,000 customers were without power. nearby homes were damaged. neighbors we talked to say this has happened before. >> i said not again. this happened, maybe three years ago, since i have been here 52 years. i say at least five times, fire happened over there. >> we have had transformers that blow up, before but it was never this bad. >> peco tells thaws 6800

customers remain without power this morning. crews have been working throughout the night and hope to have power restored wye noon. check on the individual status of your outage by going to peco.com. a violent home invasion overnight in philadelphia's logan section leaves a new born baby in the hospital. >> "eyewitness news" reporter frank does live at einstein medical center with more on what happened, good morning, trang do. >> reporter: good morning, jim and rahel. baby was brutally assaulted by one of the robbers but expected to be okay. he was taken to einstein to be checked out, meanwhile, investigators are not sure why this young mother was targeted but they say somehow these robbers knew that she had thousands of dollars inside of her home. lets look at video of the scene, overnight, officers responded to a home on the 4500 block of north 18th street, in logan, just before 12:30 a.m. twenty-five year-old mother told police she was sleeping on the second floor with her eight day old son when three armed masked men broke the lock and then forced their way inside. men then ordered woman and two

, 17 years old girls visiting her in the basement. robbers made off with $3,500.02 cell phones but not before one of the men assaulted would the man's new born son. >> when police, one of the perpetrators ordered her to get up, she said i'm holding my baby. that is when one just forced the baby, on to the floor by pushing the baby, on to the floor, which is, pretty brutal , as far as we're concerned. >> reporter: woman and those two teen girls were not hurt but investigators are hoping those two stolen cell phones can lead them to the men responsible. they also say that the three men participated in the robbery, surveillance cameras captured four men, running away from the scene. that is story here for now we are live in logan i'm trang do for cbs-3 "eyewitness news". jim and rahel, back to you. also new overnight one person is in stable condition after a robbery and shooting in oxford circle. police say three men were loading exercise equipment in to a home on the 6,000 block of somerdale avenue when they

were interrupted by two armed men. a five three-year old man was shot once in the leg. suspects about on the away were $450. nearby surveillance cameras may have caught the crime on camera. authorities are stepping up patrols in their search for a suspect who is attacking woman in delaware in an apartment complex in new castle county. police believe that the suspect kidnaped a woman at will mink's top of the hill apartments and another woman at arundell apartments last month. victims were sexually assaulted and forced to withdraw money from atm's. police say suspect tried to abduct another woman from the bluffs apartments, in newark, on monday. the suspect ran away when woman alerted another person inside of her apartment building. a serial child rapist is waking up behind bars in delaware county this morning, but authorities, fear that the case is far from over. twenty year-old you lux of media, pled guilty to raising multiple jim teenage girl. he assaulted girls as young as

12 years old over a 18 month period. >> we have evidence that he slipped her a date rape drug. she became paralyzed. >> he was sentenced to 13 and a half years, to 27 years behind bars, but authorities believe there are more victims out there. if you have any information, please give media police a call. members of the philadelphia federation of teachers will be joining women worldwide today, group said they will be fighting for a fair contract as they take part in the day without a women protest. women around the globe will be walking off job and demanding their rights. today's event was inspired by women's march on washington. more than 2 million people took to the streets of d.c. and across the country. this is video from back in philadelphia organizers say they chose today for strike in spirit of the international women's day. well, state of hawaii isn't wasting time challenging president trump's revised travel ban, president trump signed an executive order monday and banning foreign nationals from six muslim

majority countries for 90 days and all refugees for 120 days. ban has triggered protest around the country, hawaii says order is constitutionally defective and wants a restraining order against it. it initial to effect march 16th. president trump is working on turning his plan for a wall along the southern border into a reality. washington powe is reporting that the trump administration is considering making cuts to the coastguard, tsa and feel a monday would i pay for the wall in an effort to crackdown on illegal immigration, department of home land security estimated that it will cost $21.6 billion to build that wall. white house says it is still too early to put a number on it. investigators will be on the scene of the deadly crash in mississippi. >> that crash involves a train and a bus, we will tell you what eyewitnesses say happened to the bus just moments before the train slammed into it. and, take a look at this map, that shows a path of the flight bound from hawaii from san jose. look strange to you?

save up to 20% at the ikea kitchen event. shooting lead to a car crash. one passenger is in extremely critical condition after being shot in the head. it happened around 6:30 on the 1100 block ofe haines street. police say two shots were fired through the front windshield of the jeep grand cherokee striking the passenger. jeep's driver then who control and smashed into an audi heading in the other direction the people in the audi are in stable condition. this morning federal investigators will be at a scene of the deadly crash involving a charter bus and freight train in biloxi, mississippi. four people were killed and 35 others injured when csx train slammed in the charter bus. bus got stuck on the track, passengers had started exiting the bus when train came barreling down. >> the train was honking,

honking, you know, but the bus had just looked like it bottomed out over the hill and when it bottomed out it tried backing up and then you can see the train, it was just gone. and texas based charter bus was carrying mostly senior citizens on a casino trip. we are told railroad crossing did have signs, warning of its low ground clearance meaning that the large vehicle could become lodged on the tracks. a plane full of people looking for a getaway hopped on plane to hawaii. >> after four hours in the air they end upright back where they started. flight 43 was heading to honolulu from san jose, california but before take off it was delayed to replace a part. it left two hours late but after an hour in the air the pilot said part failed again. passengers said they had to fly in circles for four hours, to burn off fuel before returning. >> i could see them turning around. >> over and over again.

making its way to the delaware valley as we speak. pretty easy to locate where that frontal boundary is with our current temperatures, we have fallen off 2 degrees in mount pocono at 38. forty-eight in reading. ahead of the cold front temperatures are mild up in the 50's and in the 60's. 60 degrees in wilmington. temperature change over last 24 hours significant again we are up 20 degrees from this time yesterday in trenton. up 18 in philadelphia. storm scan three is showing us still lots of shower activity right now to track, maybe a few flakes will make their way in the poconos over next several hours just dealing with some light shower activity sprinkle activity, seeing drip drops coming down in wilmington right now, new castle county delaware, chester county, now delaware county seeing rain moving in. that will moviebound. so center city philadelphia we will see a sprinkle over the next 30 minutes. in the 6:00 o'clock hour we could see showers down the shore, again we could see a few sprinkles along portions of south jersey and coast in

>> speaking of jobs we understand uber has a major job opening right now. >> yes, uber planning to hire a chief operating office tore help the ceo. he is described as a peer someone to help him write the next chapter. uber has been in the head lines for not good reasons recently. they recently were accused of ignoring sexual harassment allegations in the company and video that surfaced of the ceo berating a driver. he has apologized and said he need to grow up. maybe this is first step. jim and rahel. >> didn't he say something like he admitted he need sod leadership help. maybe this is in line with that. >> exactly, he admit that he had need some help and hopefully they will bring in maybe a woman, it is international woman's day. >> yeah. >> maybe he need a woman in there to help out. >> maybe he has a problem, first step in recovery. >> first step. >> thanks, jill. we will check in next hour.

live look at center city philadelphia or trying to, through, a few drip drops there on the camera lens. we are seeing a sprinkle work going through center city philadelphia that will be the trend over next couple of hours but sunshine will return as we head in the second half of the morning. so sunny afternoon, in store, we're watching, the possibility of a little bit of snow, two chances across the delaware valley as we head in the next several days. tomorrow we will kick off a cooling trend, arctic air is moving in this weekend, it will be that secondary set up for chance of snow on sunday
