all right. good morning. looking outside right now no accidents, good. knock on wood. lots of construction though so we will get to that coming up in a bit. >> nice quiet start. still mild. nice day in store but then bottom falls out as we head into tomorrow. who is excited, for arctic air i know you guys are. as we head in the upcoming weekend temperatures will be plumetting, but right now, we're feeling good. we will need that winter coat. fifty-three in philadelphia 51 lehigh valley. right around 50 degrees. we have breezy conditions though that are persisting, wind speed up 10 to 16 to 20 miles an hour with locally higher gusts, but all quiet. cloud to the south. some snow well far to the north. but as we head through the day today enjoy mild conditions and another round of sunshine for 9:00 o'clock hour. fifty-one. breezy sunshine. wind any to midday but keeping it around sunshine.

temperatures nearing 60 degrees. sixty-one by 5:00 o'clock hour increasing cloud but that cloud deck will be increasing in advance of the weather system that will bring us rain , transition to snow overnight tonight and early tomorrow. we will talk about that plus a cold, arctic, stretch, and not a brief one, and we're watching another system, meisha as we head into next tuesday. we are in the clear on sunday for snow, so that is good. yeah. arctic air. >> you who me after that. yes. that is just not good. good morning everyone. happy thursday. happy gateway to the weekend this is vine. it was not closed for overnight construction. one area not having construction. there is a lot of it out there moving in the west and eastbound side you can see, i don't want to say we're heating up but we are looking more busy then we typically do at 4:30 in morning. and also we have a down tree from spring house roberts road is blocked at bethlehem pike. use an alternate, norristown road will be your best bet for now. i'll let you know when that does clear.

we have more construction on the northeast extension, north and southbound at quakertown left lanes blocked there northeast extension southbound before lansdale, left lane is blocked there head up on that but overall since it is still so early these will not slow you down to be mindful if you are leaving later in the 5:00 o'clock hour. new jersey turnpike northbound at three to two that right lane is block. that is blocked right up until 6:00 a.m. it will get busy in the later 5:00 o'clock hour. we have construction in delaware, 295 northbound is closed at i-95, 295, that split right there because construction is being done, on route 141. just a head up again, a lot of these construction projects lingering out there hopefully they will clear out there around 6:00, if they linger we will talk about that as well. jim and rahel, back over to you. thanks, meisha. we will begin with breaking news this morning. manhunt for a driver, police say slammed a car full of people into a home in salem county and then took running. >> "eyewitness news" reporter trang do is live in penns

grove near the scene of what was a chaotic crash, good morning, trang. >> reporter: good morning, rahel and jim. police are still looking for that driver who crashed in the house, abandoned the car and four passengers inside but i will take you right over to this damage. thankfully in one inside the house or car was seriously hurt but police say he went through this first fence here, drove through the yard and then went through second fence and then took out the corner of the home, over here. now this happened just after 1:00 a.m. neare line ande union street in penns grove, penns grove police say an officer was attempting to pull over a car but driver refused to stop. he who control around a curve, jumped the curve, crashed true two fences and then hit the house. he then took off on foot. couple in their 70's lives in the home. their son tells us that they are both okay, fortunately and there were four passengers again in that car. all but one of those women refused treatment. she was taken to the local hospital with a minor injuries , and that car

involved here was pretty much totaled, we are told that the house is structurally sound. that is story here for now i'm live in penns grove, trang do for cbs-3 "eyewitness news". >> okay, thank you. police need your help finding a missing elderly man from montgomery county. eighty-four year-old roy camp meyer left his home in montgomery township and may have traveled left. his car a 2013 burgundy subaru was spotted two hours away near hershey park. car has pennsylvania tag grp- 5625, if you see him, please call 911. ftc has launched an investigation in the at&t outage that prevented customers in several states including pennsylvania from getting through to 911. at&t addressed the incident around 10:30 on social media tweeting the issue has been resolved and affected some calls to 911 from wireless customers. we apologize to those affected it is unclear how long service was interrupted. police in bucks county are

investigating a tragic accident a boy struck and killed by a pickup truck. it happened yesterday afternoon at bellaire trailer park on bristol pike in morrisville. after the boy was struck people began attacking the pick up driver, of course, forced driver to leave the scene but did stop to call for help. child was pronounced dead at the hospital. driver of the pick up is said to be cooperating with the investigation. and chopper three over the scene of the deadly shooting in north philadelphia, police say a man was shot four times in the head on the 300 block of west westmoreland street just before 7:00 last night. so far police made no arrests. and chopper three over the scene of the shooting last night in frankford a 20 year-old man is in critical condition after he was robbed of $100 and, shot three times on the 2,000 block of bridge street. this happened just before 8:45 police say they are looking at surveillance video from cameras in the neighborhood but so far they have made no arrest. a philadelphia police officer is forced to shoot and kill a dog responding to a call this happened last night on the 6500 block of buse

avenue in southwest philadelphia. police say officer and dhs employee were trying to remove two children from the home when a german shepherd attacked the officer. the officer has been since treated and released from the hospital. a north jersey man is behind bars this morning accused of sexually assaulting a 14 year-old girl he met in the on line chat room. police arrested anthony luciano of summit, new jersey. made contact on line with the girl back in 2010. he is accused of sexually assaulting her at her bucks county home. luciano is being held in the montgomery county prison. police believe there are other victims. happening today jury selection gets underway in the chester county for trial of the eric frein, man accused of killing a pennsylvania state trooper. the three three-year old self proclaimed survival list led police on the 43 day manhunt before he was captured. police say he killed corporal brian dickson and injured trooper alex douglas in pike

county in 2014. frein has pleaded not guilty, chester county jurors will be taken to the pike county for trial scheduled to begin april . anger and frustration, some peco customers go into another day without power, following that large fire in the north philadelphia substation. about 1,000 homes and businesses remain in the dark this morning, making matters worse some who have power restored have who it again. peco hopes to have power restored sometime this morning 36,000 customers were left without power after flames ravaged that substation on the 2600 block of west west moreland street tuesday afternoon. in word on what sparked the blaze. former utah governor john huntsman has said yes to president trump's office as an ambassador to russia. several administration officials confirmed news to cnn the if the former 2012 republican presidential candidate is approved, this will be his third time as an ambassador. he previously served as u.s. ambassador to singapore and ambassador to china during

amounts toward those areas under that winter weather advisory. we will talk about that in a few minutes. we will get an arctic blast over weekend and not a brief blast but will stick around and with that cold air in place and more moisture moving in, next tuesday we have another system to watch out for, we are in the clear for those storm systems that we were watching for sunday that will stay to the south but eyes on our focus on this storm system for next tuesday. we will talk about first our snow chance developing, overnight tonight, rain, snow showers, developing to the north, after midnight then we will see this band of snow, developing that will continue to move its way southbound through the morning hours. tomorrow morning's commute will be a tough one. through midday snow exiting down the shore and as we head in the afternoon hours we will see some snow squals moving through so tomorrow, it is going to be a dicey day weather-wise and much colder as well. 42 degrees the high temperature. temperatures drop off significantly, meisha, i know you don't want to know 30's by the weekend. >> no. i want to go to my own bubble and pretend it is not there, how about that, lauren.

good morning. happy gateway. main thing we are dealing with this morning, yesterday was accidents to day we have a lot of construction, right now though i want to show you the schuylkill near spring gardening moving in thee and westbound direction for those, heading out on the schuylkill now we are looking good. we do however have a down tree in spring house roberts roadblocked at bethlehem pike, that alternate norristown road you will need to use that as of right now roberts road is blocked off completely. plus, we do have some construction here, northeast extension, north and southbound of quakertown left lane block there, also, northeast extension southbound before lansdale the left lane is blocked there as well. then, we have, a little bit more, new jersey turnpike northbound at route 322, right lane is block. this is out there until 6:00 a.m. and start to heat up in the 5:00 o'clock hour and it should clear out. i will, confirm when it does so head up on that and we have more construction in delaware to talk about when we come back in 10 minutes. jim and rahel, back to you. it is good idea to show up at the airport two hours before your departure time. >> new list suggest you might

>> reporter: investors are waiting for government to release its february jobs report tomorrow morning, but yesterday, we did get some insight into private sector job growth and it was a blockbuster month. payroll processor adp says that co added 298,000 jobs, that is the biggest monthly increase, since 2013. and these numbers do make it more likely that the fed will raise interest rates at its meeting next week, a lot riding on tomorrow's report. as long as it is not horrible most think a rate hike is guarantied. >> they were expecting it. when it comes to real estate, jill, i understand there is a golden window for people trying to sell their homes. >> reporter: yes, sell in may and go away, that is an expression here at the stock market and it could be a real estate market expression, too. the research firm zillow found people list their hems during the first two weeks of may, will sell at nine days faster on average then people listed other times of the year and they make about $1,500
