winter weather advisory in effect for large portion of the area. it has been expanded annex tended by the national weather service, now includes center city philadelphia, runs until 2:00 this afternoon. storm scan three showing us, snow moving in, north and west of the city. the poconos, you're been seeing snow over the last several hours, now that snow overtaking the lehigh valley, bucks county, might be seeing little bit of wintery mix there as well in and around the reading area, also some returns now, maybe not all of this hitting the grounds just yet, but will, new castle county delaware moving up, approaching center city philadelphia, may indeed start as light rain or light wintery mix, but that will quickly transition over to all snow, much more moisture up winds, and looking very well developed at this time across portions of western and central pennsylvania. what to expect for today? yes, we may briefly start in the city as rain or wintery mix, but then transition over to all snow, dealing with snow throughout much of the morning hours, and snow heavy at times, quick accumulations because of the heavier intensity, then we head into this afternoon, as the uniform

marbles this morning. schedule to open early or mid april. why did it open so much earlier? everyone came together and made it happen for you. thousands every people have been affected by this. it will make a lot of our commuters very, very happy this morning. also, looking at this area right now, so directing traffic off 202, route one. why is that? because of an earlier tractor-trailer accident that was caused a downed pole and wires. this is the updated information for you. route one baltimore pike closed between parkers ville road and bridge road, southbound tractor-trailers being diverted to 202. you will have to use this alternate, route 926, street road, probably going to be your best bet, in fact, that is going to be your best bet. a lot going on this morning already this morning. also, downed tree, north brooke closed between broad run road and wawaset road. as we mentioned maybe once or twice this morning, snow is on the way. >> not much though. just enough to slow the drive to work. trang do is has been headed north all morning long. she as in allentown where we're finally seeing some snowflakes. i see nothing behind you, trang, nothing at all. >> yes, did you guys see that? plows just drove behind me. perfect timing here. just moved to different location here in allentown, and we are finally seeing some very light snowflakes. and snow for sure that i can actually see themment take a look here, just offer into the distance, highway there, that's 222ment you can see so light right now, not really affecting the commute here in the allentown area, but of course as we made our way up here, on the northeast extension, penndot had a lot of trucks on the sides of the road. they obviously had all of the salt reserves, because we've had pretty easy winter so far. and they're preparing, but also the local businesses are preparing, take a look here, this is wawa parking lot. you can clearly see that they're ready for whatever comes here, lot of salt already on the grounds, and of course, like any wawa, tons of

"eyewitness news" reporter jan carabeo live at the pennsylvania convention center this morning, to give us sneak peak at this year's exhibit. good morning, jan. >> rahel, jim, good morning, this is truly one of my favorite assignments of the entire year. the theme of this year's philadelphia flower show is pollen flowering the world, truely lives up to all of the hype. it is absolutely gorgeous, finishing touches are in place there is place is ready to open. in this exhibit alone, the entryway, there are 30,000 tulips. thirty, and 30,000 more tulips to replace these over the next weekend, cull elf days. here to talk a little more about this, here at the event, allen, with the pennsylvania horticultural society. allen let's first talk about this grand can pea of flowers overhead. it is magnificant. >> yes, we think this will be real show stop they are year, our floral canopy. when people go to holland, they know about the flower

field, the tulips, into the horizon, we took that idea turned it on it head. so you feel when you come in this entrance garden as if you're surrounded by flowers. we've got 6,000 flowers, dry flowers hanging, from the strings, 4,000 color strings hanging from the ceiling of the convention center. first time we've ever attempted something like there is we think it is a fantastic way, to what it feels like in the field of the political glenn it is stunning. this year's theme is hole and. it celebrate the beauty and the inch jen ooh i at this of the culture. what other highlight does this show have to offer? >> well, we've got as you say some terrific designers work here, american designers with what's called the dutch wave. approach to gardening and to landscaping, takes very natural approach to how you plan your garden, it is very carefully thought out. but it appears very natural, little wild, using lots of grass, beautiful flowers, a lot of people will come away

with interesting ideas how they can create a wonderful garden in the philadelphia region as well. >> of course see a lot of win mills, bicycles, evening ozone behind us, what's that? >> the epitomy of such thought. regarding sustainability. this was created last year in amsterdam. this is the first time it has appeared in north america. it will be going on a world tour. it showcases different approaches 21st century thinking regarding ecology, agriculture, food production, culture, lots of different dutch companies will be exiting in there, and introducing new ideas to the american public. >> and also some new things this year. something happening tomorrow night that is very exciting. >> a lot of fun event throughout the flower show. on opening night we open saturday, the 11th, that night we will have something called flowers after hours. this is a party aimed at young professionals, but everybody of course is invited to come to. >> this it is a dance party here on the show floor. it will have 90's theme.

down, visibilities, greatly reduced. we will start to see that snow building in, along the i95 corridor, as we head into the next couple of hours, but our weather watchers are up with us this morning, giving us some reports, and we do have current conditions generally in the four's and in the 30's, temperatures will be dropping off as we head throughout the morning and into the afternoon as well. so get ready for some of the cold air. we will check in right now, 43 w jersey being robert's house, mostly cloudy conditions. no snow yet. he says i suppose seasonably cold covers it, surprise as the temperature and the lack every winds. winds will pick up as we head into the afternoon hours. the temperatures are going to be dropping accordingly, robert. we will check in, stay in jersey, 42 degrees right now in cherry hill at lynn's house, cloudy conditions, and she says good morning, lauren, have a nice day. thanks, lynn, you have a nice day, as well. wasn't that sweet? very nice, yes. and hopefully everyone will have a nice day despite the conditions that we are going

to be encountering, as we saw, at our live look in the poconos. visibilities, at zero. visibility telling us the story of the snowfall inch ten at this, looking good in allentown, starting to see the flakes start interesting as well. intensity of the snowfall little deceiving. some evaporating before it hits the surface, as the atmosphere continues to moist ten we will see the snow coming down heavier in nature around allentown, reading returns every wintery mix, has now shifted over to a return of all snowfall. also, some light rainfall might be breaking out across parts of wilmington, delaware, but again, we will see the transition to all snow as we head into the next several hours. storm scan3, quite busy off to the west. all of the moisture will be moving into our neck of the woods today. what to expect? starting offer potentially as wintery mix, briefly, then change to go all snow throughout the morning hours. snow squawls this afternoon, windy conditions, picking up after lunchtime. forty-six again, that's deceiving, already hit that, temperatures in the three's this afternoon. and in the 20's tonight.
