>> good morning, anne-marie. president trump will hold another campaign-style rally, this time in kentucky. this time it's not over fbi director james comey but security director marriage rogers will testify over russia's involvement in the 2016 election as well as president trump's unproven claim that trump tower was bugged. mike rogers takes the hot seat this morning over the 2016 utd presidential election. >> i think there are a few things i'm hoping to hear first, whether americans will be investigated for cooperating or conspiring with russians who interferined with our elections second, the scope of the investigation, and third, a time lite toward resolving it. >> this is over claims that president obama wiretapped trump tower during the 2016 campaign. >> that's a terrible accusation

today. anne-marie? >> hena daniels here in new york. thank you, hena. ahead, we'll talk with adam schiff about the president's allegations of wiretapping and the investigation into russia's attempt to influence the presidential election. well, man who drove up to a white house security checkpoint saturday night and told the secret service he had a bomb has been arrested. there was no bomb and he was charged with false bomb threats. earlier saturday a man jumped over a low metal barrier just outside the white house fence. he was arrested for unlawful entry. president trump was not at the white house during either incident. north korea tested a high-performance rocket engine. it's believed north korea is working to develop a nuclear warhead missile capable of reaching the u.s. north korea leader kim jong-un says the text marked a new birth for his rocket test industry. he said he's asking v very

badly. the test said it showing meaningful advancement in engine function. and the u.s. military released this video. it shows an air strike on an isis headquarter strike in iraq on saturday the building was a hotel in downtown mosul. the battle to recapture mosul began six months ago. well, three u.s. soldiers were wounded sunday when an afghan soldier opened fire at a base in southern afghanistan. the afghan soldier was shot dead. an afghan army spokesman said the soldier had made a mistake and had not fired deliberately. it's been seven days since a former tennessee high school teacher disappeared with a 15-year-old student he allegedly kidnapped. elizabeth thomas was last seen at a restaurant about 45 miles south about a week ago. friends and family have been waiting. >> bring her back or allow her

to call to let us know she's okay. police say 50-year-old todd cummins is believed to be armed and dangerous. she's one of ten children. friday cummins' wife begged him to come home. >> this is not you. this is not who you are. we can help you get through this. >> another student allegedly said she saw cummins and him kissing in classroom. this morning a colorado wildfire that forced the evacuation of 426 homes is 50% contained. the sunshine fire started sunday morning and is burning west of boulder. they believe the fire may have been caused by people. it's burned more than 50 acres.

organizers say they fear federal officers would target attendees. the "los angeles times" reports the firing of a waiter who asked latinas for proof of residency before they could be served. one of the four women complained in social media posts. the upscale restaurant in huntington beach apresponded by apologizing and donating to a group. the nonprofit group says it's received over $100,000 since the president's budget was issued thursday. the budget would cut block grants that help the group's local outlets. learn more about our treatment options at cancercenter.com/lung. appointments available now. our top story this morning, fbi director james comey is expected to testify before the intelligence house committee today. he's expected to address president trump's claims that the obama administration wiretapped trump tower. the committee holds its first public committee meeting today at the national committee. and confirmation hearings continue for supreme kourtd nominee neil gorsuch. if confirmed by the senate he would replace justice antonin scalia preserving a 5/4 ben torch the court. they'll argue gorsuch is qualified but not independent of the president. tony dokoupil has a preview of what to expect from judge gorsuch and today's hearing.
