a driver in peru walks away from a driver in peru walks away from frightening flooding. captioning funded by cbs good morning from the cbs news headquarters in new york. glad to be with you, i'm anne-marie green. well, today, the united states is implementing a temporary order preventing airline passengers on certain flights from carrying on larger electronic devices. nonstop flights originate in the middle east. reuters reports the reason for the ban is an unspecified threat. the ban impacts nine foreign airlines. no american carriers are affected. all electronics bigger than a cell phone including laptops, tablets and cameras must be checked. medical devices are excluded. the ban applies to eight countries and unnamed officials say the ban has been considered for several weeks. and the white house is

pushing back after the director of the fbi delivered a double blow undercutting the president. testifying before the house intelligence committee fbi director james comey is investigating possible collusion between the trump campaign and russia. he also shut down the president's claims that he was wiretapped by the obama administration. hena daniels is here in new york. good morning, hena. good morning, anne-marie. the president addresses house republicans on capitol hill ahead of their vote to overhaul obamacare. this comes one day after director comey confirmed for the first time that the campaign is the subject of a u.s. intelligence investigation. >> i am thrilled to be here in the great state of kentucky. >> reporter: president trump held a campaign-compile event monday night, addressing health care, but making no mention of the federal investigation possible collusion between associates of mr. trump and russia. >> thursday is our chance to end
