i'm rahel solomon. katie and meisha keeping an eye on things. >> lots going on. heavy hearts for our friend in london. looking outside, it is looking g we have construction, one accident. we will get to that. >> totally quiet day and when i say totally quiet, it is totally quiet. i have no caveat. the wind is easing up, it is still chilly, i will give thaw but very tranquil outside. still a tad breezy but that is something that has continued to ease up with every passing hour and it will continue to do that for rest of the morning and well in the afternoon. that is because of our wonderful friend high pressure , so often it lead to fair weather and that is case today but it also allows the cloud to break because we will get substance with areas of high pressure. the air sinks and what that will do is clear out cloud cover because of the downward motion. looking at region right now a lot of numbers to look at here , pick your region philadelphia, shore, poconos currently 24 but feels more

this that might slow us down, more gaper delay then anything else until we move in the 6:00 a congestion problem. we have bridge inspections happening boulevard northbound between fox street and broad street, you can see it pulled off to the right. it will not slow you down too much right now. we were seeing some cars driving bile putting on their brakes just a head up at this point in the morning. this is the accident we have been referring to still out there east norriton valley forge road at water street road this will so you down. no, it is not. if you are in that neck of the wood just head up it is out there because something like that can, and that is more then in the 6:00 o'clock hour, more toward. that we have construction northeast extension southbound , that left lane is block, they are still traveling around at posted speed anywhere we are looking at. and hey just a reminder what we have been talking about all week pennsylvania turnpike mid county toll plaza e-z pass express lanes will be closed until april 10th, causing confusion but hopefully people getting the word out now, jim, over to you. authorities in the uk remain on high alert following

yesterday's deadly attack outside great britain's parliament building. >> we are looking live in london prime minister teresa may said parliament will meet as usual today. police conducted several raid in connection with the attack. "eyewitness news" reporter trang do is tracking developments and joins us from the news center good morning. >> reporter: good morning. uk authorities are still not identifying the attack but say that they believe he acted alone and was inspired by international terrorism. officers took seven people in custody after british police carried out raid on six properties overnight including a home in the city of birmingham where the suspect in wednesday's deadly rampage in the uk capitol once lived. >> we think we know who the attacker is, so we are working for the associate. >> reporter: the attack happened steps from britain's parliament where tightened security had officers conducting vehicle checks. video record by a tourist shows some of the injured lying along the west minister bridge. the place where police say

suspect mode down pedestrians in an suv. at least 40 people were hurt. >> there was people running we could not tell what was wrong. >> reporter: authorities say man slammed the vehicle in the gates of parliament, got out and stabbed 48 year-old police officer keith palmer to death. >> the location of this attack was no accident. terrorist chose to strike at the heart of our capitol city. >> reporter: carnage ending when a police officer shot and killed the suspect. in all four people including the attacker have died from their injuries. british prime minister teresa may called for unity in the middle of the tragedy. >> we were all move forward together, never giving into terror. >> reporter: twenty-nine people had to be hospitalized, seven of them remain in critical condition. that the point police are not saying how the seven people arrested overnight are connected to the suspect. but for now we are live, i'm trang do, cbs-3 "eyewitness news", jim and rahel back to

my twins are like purple. i can't, they are not breathing. >> reporter: police responded to the 500 block of bilper avenue around 8:00, in the 911 call the children's mother tells dispatchers that she had been trying to revive her babies. >> do you know how to do cpr? >> i'm trying. >> reporter: by 8:30, authorities on the scene a pronounced them dead. this community is stunned. >> i'm just so shocked. i'm just so shocked. thorough such nice people. i have even held one of the babies. >> reporter: alice shields lives next door and knows the children's family. she said she didn't hear anything that morning and doesn't no he what happened. neighbors identified this woman escorted by police as children's mother, a tragic scene they won't soon ever forget. >> she was screaming like she was crying really bad, and they put her in the back of the cop car and i saw them bring out body bags and stuff.

it is horrible. >> reporter: camden county prosecutor's office ifs heading up this investigation and they have not indicated but it may have caused those babe toys stop breathing. reporting live, from lindenwald world, new jersey, jan carabao for jim and rahel back to you. >> jan, thank you. new this morning a man from philadelphia's kensington section, is recovering, after he was shot multiple times, it happened near atlantic and ruth street they were alerted when 21 year-old victim showed up at the hospital. there is no word on suspects or a motive. republicans rallied late last night for one final push of support behind their new health care bill before heading to the house for voting tonight. g.o.p. leaders insist they have enough votes to get measure past but growing list of republicans opposed including new jersey congressman frank lobiondo and charlie dent from pennsylvania may put bill in jeopardy. house republicans cannot afford to lose more than 22

votes and still pass the bill. cbs news report ago this as of 12:30, 31 republicans plan to vote no. also today, support and oppose, judge neil gorsuch will testify his confirmation hearing. yesterday the supreme court nominee worked to say he puts the law above politics, republicans argue he is qualified, democrats however are skeptical, they 49 year-old judge to discuss his views on controversial issues like borings and gay rights. eight candidates running to be philadelphia's next district attorney will participate in the debate for the very first time tonight. the debate will take place at spring side, chestnut hill academy from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. there are currently seven democrats and one republican in the race, cities primary elections are scheduled for may 16th. philadelphia's current d.a. seth williams is home on his own recognizance. he pleaded not guilty to corruption charges wednesday and was released on $50,000 bail. he is facing 23 counts and

accused of taking american $100,000 in gifts and vacations, in exchange for favors. he also is charged with defrauding a nursing home. williams has not signalled whether he plans to resign or not. dramatic dash cam video shows a state trooper and motorcyclist fighting on the side of the highway. >> see how a good samaritan jumped in to help, next. plus this. welcome back everyone. residents are upset over a new shooting range and they want it gone. range's located on commonwealth drive-in east vincentown ship chester county residents say they live in a war zone. >> and [gunfire] , now this video was taken by meg seaman outside her royersford montgomery county home. she said that veterans living near the shooting range, including her husband, who served, four tours, and afghanistan, struggle with the sound. >> i actually found him, in his office under his desk in the fetal position, because it is terrifying for him, because they really do, without even being, a little bit dramatic sound like a war zone. >> horrible for that couple. >> shooting range built in partnership with the excel on corporation serves as training facility for police officers and security personnel at limerick generating station. some good smart tans come to the rescue of the michigan

looking okay in that area speaking of bridges lets take a peak at ben franklin bridge moving in the westbound direction from new jersey into center city we are looking really good as we push in the westbound direction, we are looking just as we should, we will keep you at those levels for a little bit longer. we will, deeper in the 6:00 o'clock hour on thursday, anyway when we will see things heat up. and then we have an accident valley forge road, water street road heads up, not slowing you down at all but it is still out there. not yet cleared out. also some construction we have crew is still out there northeast extension southbound near quakertown that left lane is blocked there, rahel, back over to you. board of education in moorestown approved a a policy authorized personnel to administer a anecdote on school property. moorestown is third district in burlington county to adopt that policy after pemberton township and maple shade. and on the cover of the times herald a 12 year-old

delaware native first joined the franchise in 1955 as a pitcher. eventually, he worked his way through the franchise and became manager, and as we mentioned he lead the team to their first title in 1980. he was a guy that pushed him over the top and helped reach their potential. for reaction to his death, it is far and wide, pete rose, first base man on that championship squad said on twitter, the baseball world lost a giant, dallas was a helping of a guy and reallied er e brought that championship to philadelphia, i will always love dallas green. former teammate and phillies legend dick allen writes sad to learn this afternoon about the passing of phillies legend dallas green, i will miss my former teammate and friend, current philly, the catcher, cameron rupp, he tweets this, wow, just heard about the passing of one of the best to ever wear a phillies uniform, you will be missed, dallas green. green was 82 years old.
