"eyewitness news" reporter anita oh is live in center city with more on the arrests, anita. >> reporter: nicole and jessica after police chief says immediately after office 's arrived at ben franklin high school to serve those arrest warrants, they pulled a fire alarm as an loose and now 10 teenage boys are in custody facing felony charges after a violent subway brawl, last week. ten teenage boys are now in custody in connection to this violent subway brawl at race/ vine septa station around 3:45 on the afternoon of the march 16th. cell phone video shows a group of teens brutally attacking another group, punching and stumping on the victim's head. >> they are being attacked like on buses, and fighting,

and i mean i don't want to say it is silly but it happened here a lot. >> reporter: on thursday, police served seven warrants at ben franklin high school one at franklin learning center, one in north philadelphia and last in an unknown location. officers are waiting for an arrest warrant for 18 year-old ben franklin student, the only one who would be charged as an adult. >> school dismissal time has become a period for youth violence. we have kid causing pain and fear among other kid. >> reporter: as a result of the recent youth violence at septa stations transit officers will be assigned to ride every subway train at school dismissal time. septa plans to roll roll out a text line to allow the public to quickly notify police of incidents like these. >> this isn't a septa problem but this is a philadelphia problem with our youth. >> it starts with the the parents and family and people would take more care of their

kid and how they raise them things would be better. >> reporter: now all 10 teens in custody face aggravated assault and robbery charges after allegedly taking the victim's phones, and ipad. live from center city anita oh for cbs-3 "eyewitness news". six teenage girls are facing charges in connection with the violent assault at a septa station last night. chopper three was over the scene at 4600 market street, police say that group assaulted a 16 year-old girl and tried to set her hair on fire. the victim was taken to children's hospital where she was treated and released a second victim was assaulted but not injured. police in israel are trial to determine the motive of the teenager arrested in connection with the worldwide threats against jewish community centers. authorities say that the 19 year-old suspect hold dual israeli american citizenship. he was arrested in israel after an under cover investigation involving the fbi. authorities say that he used advanced camouflage

technologies to cover his track. well to day we have learned that work to repair vandalized headstones at mount carmel jewish cemetery in the northeast will begin on tuesday. the jewish federation of the greater philadelphia has raised more than $220,000 to support the repair costs. cemetery was vandalized last month, officials say that the repair work will take two weeks. new developments tonight in the london terror attack. police say a fourth victim a seven five-year old man has now died. american kirk cochran ace monk three other victims killed yesterday. family of the utah man say he and his wife who survived were in london celebrating their 25th wedding anniversary. the teacher from spain and a british police officer were also killed. police fatally shot the attack er khalid masood, britain's foreign minister called the deadly rampage a cowardly act. >> delays tide of hate rushing around the world but we together, globally can turn

news". city officials say philadelphia's new tax on sugary drinks is performing well. figures released by department of revenue show the tax brought in 6.4 million-dollar in february. the city projected would it generate 6.3 million for the month. mayor kenney once again defended the tax. >> in the end, soda co should understand in a generation we will have children who are educated, edge ployed, tax paying consumers who will be their best customers. >> the one and a half cents per ounce tax on sweetened and diet beverages fund prek and community schools. it will also help to pay to renovate recreation centers, libraries and parks. when you think of nasa's technology you probably think of advanced computers, which guide rockets or robots which you can collect space material but you may not think about weaving. >> as another greg argos explains in this weeks einstein science center report one pennsylvania company is taking old technology and

updated stats in the calendar, high of 45. that is a full 10 degrees below average. another day in the blue but we are going to start to rebound as we end toward the end of the month and may end up average for month of march, depending how warm we get next week. lets talk about that warm front, clear, overnight, 8:00 a.m. morning commute looks fine. there may be sunshine for first part of the morning commute from the city on south but here comes that warm front starts to lift on through, at 11:00 a.m. we will see wintry mix in the southern poconos. that is only spot because it is coming through mid to late morning it will warm up quickly and should above freeze buying that time around the city but still sub freezing in the poconos. light freezing rain, most of the showers miss southern part of the area could be a stray one around noon in the city and then that lifts out and we will see a few breaks in the afternoon and then temperatures start to head upward. saturday that front will be lurking to the north, very warm day but more cloud then sunshine. couple showers heading north of the poconos but most of us

will see sun and temperatures headed for the 70's but with that light freezing rain tomorrow we have a winter weather advisory carbon and monroe counties from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. tomorrow. heading in to next week that stalled front will stick around, sunday, monday, tuesday we are trending more cloudy, showers around each day possibly a thunderstorm on monday, doesn't look like a total wash out not talking heavy flooding rain any of these days but scattered showers sunday, monday, tuesday, at lee temperatures will be above average so it is a little bit of the trade off here. fifty-four tomorrow with the midday shower and then sun returning. saturday generally dry further south more sun you'll see heading on the to the poconos pick up a shower. sunday times of light rain, monday, showers, tuesday, showers, could be a sprinkle wednesday so it is typical march pattern for end of the month but we are not talking about anymore days in the 40's or nights in the 20's. >> we will take that. >> thanks kate. don's up next with sports. >> we have action on the ice tonight flyers have plenty of
