scan, across western pennsylvania finding at this point just clouds, locally, but back across northwest pa, portions of i80 especially, you have got some icing guys. and there is winter weather advisory takes effect for the poconos specifically as of 8:00 this morning for the very same threat. freezing rain or sleet becomes our concern at that point. here in philly though it is a quick passing shower around midday. then you're done. now this is a warmfront. so, coming off of yesterday's early morning lows, the current 20's, 30's, that we've got on the thermometer will feel better to you than this did yesterday at mount pocono, lehigh heighten 14, hammonton, in ill ville, dropped down to 17. easy to do that here across the pine land areas. but looking at the current values no where near as harsh, certainly cold enough to see some icing but still multiple hours to warm up from this point. so in the city just rain shower, really only around, say, midday, so, late morning at the earliest, lunchtime or

schuylkill, as you travel on by the off ramp to the boulevard northbound, so you can see, vehicles trying to inch. over then continue on in the schuylkill, again, kel he will driver at n boulevard is your best bet. this is what it looks like leading to up. >> this from the vine to route one only talking about. >> we have another accident here yates on, route 13 baltimore between 61st and kelly street. jim, over to you. >> story out every burlington county new jersey. >> police investigating one death at an apartment complex in maple shade. that's where we find jan carabeo with the latest on the investigation, jan, good morning. >> reporter: this death investigation has been going on for just about nine hours now aren't releasing much information, but you can see, liver on the scene this

morning, there is still a large police presence, that's the crime scene unit van right there hine me. and then if we look to the right you can see the apartment that investigators have been focused on overnight. it is a first floor apartment there, right by that large bush, they've been taking pictures, collecting evidence, so, work started late last night, and it continues here this morning. now, maple shade police were first called to the fox meadow apartments on the 100 block of fox meadow drive around 9:00 last night. the crime scene unit quickly arrived, and now the burlington county prosecutors office is leading the investigation. all they can say right now is that they're investigating at least one death no word who died or exact how this all happened. but we do know police were initially called out here for a shooting and expecting a update sometime this morning, made couple of calls, so far haven't heard anything back. meantime this part of the apartment complex is still taped off this morning, people went to bed last night with many questions, waking thumb morning with the same

questions. >> we will bring it to you both on air and on line. in maple shade, cbs-3, "eyewitness news," jim, rahel, back to you. >> thank you. new this morning intruder shot during home invasion in wissinomingment police say the 26 year old suspect broke into this home, just after midnight, on the 6100 block every hailing err man street. man who lives at the residence was there with a friend when the intruder enters the home the friend pulls out gun and shot the suspect in the face. the suspect is currently in the hospital. >> authorities are looking for pair of suspect they say gunned down a man in philadelphia's east oaklane section. shots rang out at the intersection of 65th avenue and north fifth street around 1:20 last night. officers arrived to find 30 year old man shot in the chest was rush to the hospital where he later died. two sped away in a gray colored car. >> president trump demanding that the house vote today on the gop plan to replace obamacare, and republicans say that vote will happen. vote on the bill delayed

because republican leaders weren't sure they had enough support. craig boswell with more on the fight to push the healthcare bill through the housement. >> reporter: president bumm dispatched top aides to capitol hill late thursday demanding house republicans vote on the gop healthcare plan today, if not, mill muscle vein i says the president will move onto other priorities. >> i think it is helpful message. president has done everything he can to put news position to win. >> gop lawmakers decided to postpone vote on the plan yesterday when it became clear there were not enough votes to pass it. >> it is our anticipation to be done in the afternoon but the gentleman may know longer how long. >> i'm not going to tell you. >> after adding a series of amendments to the bill to make it more appealing to moderates and conservatives, house speaker paul ryan emerged confident it will pass. >> we have been promising the american people that we will repeal and replace this broken law because it is collapsing,

and it is failing families, and tomorrow we're proceeding. >> despite the changes which include transferring control of essential health benefit from the government to the state, some still opposed to the measure. >> are you confident this is going down? >> i'm not confident in thinking right now. >> we have to get it done not get it done fast. >> the white house is standing firm. >> there is plan a and plan a. we will get this done. >> with no democrats, frank vote for the bill, republicans can't lose more than about 22 of their own members if they expect to pass it. craig boswell, for cbs-3, "eyewitness news." >> well new this morning, london authorities say they've made two more cigar he is cents in connection with wednesday's terrorist attack. meanwhile thousands gathered in london last night to honor the victims. hosed canned many light vigil thursday for the four people who died and the dozens who were hurt. authorities say the suspect khalid, whose birth name is adrian russell, long criminal record, but he was not on a terror watch list.

accused every running down pedestrians in front of the parliament building, and stabbing a police officer to death. >> police in israel arrest a teenager in connection with threats against jewish community centers around the world. authorities say the 19 year old suspect pulled dual israeli american citizens shims. police have not said if he's responsible for recent threat at jcc's here in our region and wynnewood, cherry hill, wilmington, also hasn't said a motive. but the reason does have brain tumor, may have led to some of his behavior. >> meantime, work to repair headstones at mount carmel jewish cemetery in the northeast will begin tuesday. jewish federation has raised more than $220,000 to support the repair costs. the cemetery was vandalized last month. officials say the repair work will take two weeks. >> well, back here at home, all eight of the candidate hoping to become philadelphia's necessary district attorney participate in the debate in chestnut hill last night. they spent the evening laying out their vision for better city. one topic, tuesday corruption

production. >> that's correct. >> jim, one with the theser. >> you know me, making my debut next month, cherry hill high school west. >> oh, that's fun. >> well, yes, there is a lot involved in. >> this underway at the academy of music, first take the play back in 1961, to this day, rogers anaheim err stein classic continues to sell out venues across the country. i got a behind the scenes look at the king and i. >> ♪ >> ♪ >> from from broadway to broad street. the king and i, one of the most iconic plays of all time, is in philly at the academy of music. we got a behind the scenes look at what goes into moving such a massive production. cherry hill native, steve, runs the production. >> society king and i travels in seven tractor-trailers in, it takes us two days to load the show in. it is 16 hours. spread over two days. we have our touring crew. which is 15 people, that

travels with us the whole time, and then in every city we pick up an additional 56 to 60 locals. >> all in we're 69 people. and that includes our cast, crew, management, our tour musicians, we also have a lot of kids in the show, so we travel with their parents, we have two full-time tutors that we travel. >> since november the show has gone coast-to-coast with houston the latest citiment actor anthony chan says the travel can be grueling, but the youthful cast keeps them going. >> having kids in the show just bridges more of a life to everyone, since all the of the kids are always constantly smiling, and bring joy to all of the adults on the cast, even gloomy days. >> final piece of the puzzle is the orchestra, which also has a philly flare. >> we travel with four musicians, pick up 13 local musicians in every city we go to. >> and you have philadelphia connection, is that right? >> i live here. i live at 12th and lombard. so it is so nice to be able to walk over here from my house in center sit. >> i all of that hard work culminates in two week stay

you want to avoid the area at all costs. but if you can't, your alternate like i said is going to be kelly drive to the boulevard. now another accident that's out here as well schuylkill eastbound asbell month avenue. you can see the flashing lights, but what also you can see just a sea of tail light out there. it is so incredibly busy again a look at the schuylkill eastbound at belmont, fatal crash schuylkill off ramp to the northbound boulevard. the schuylkill has been our problem area, all morning long, and it doesn't look lick it is getting much better. jim, rahel, back to you. >> thank you, meisha. eleven teenagers facing charges in connection to a brawl inside a septa station. >> the incident last week was captured on a cell phone camera. "eyewitness news" reporter trang do live in center sit which more now on the arrest and how police are responding, trang, good morning. >> well, good morning, rahel, jim. that 11 suspect turned himself into police late last night, but also, rounded up the majority of the suspect, at ben franklin high school yesterday morning, someone

actually pulled fire alarm as a distraction, at the end of the day police got all 11 suspect in custody. >> eleven teens facing felony charges, a bystander captured part of the mayhem on her cell phone. showing group of teens kicking and punching other to the ground. riders say they see fight between kids all the time. >> they would be in groups and packs like on buses, like fighting, and, i mean, i don't want to say it is silly, but it happens here a lot. >> this isn't a septa problem. that is philadelphia problem with our youth. >> septa police chief thomas says this video and others help police identify the suspects. thursday officers served seven warrants, at ben franklin high school. one at franklin learning center, and two other outside of school. the oldest suspect, a 18 year old man, turned himself in to police. >> school dismissal time has

night. chopper three, over 46th and market, where police say the suspects tried to set a 16 year old girl's hair on fire. that victim was treated and released. the second victim just 13 years old, told police she was poked from behind with a knife. fortunately, she wasn't hurt. and emaciated dog found dumped in a trash bag at local park. now philadelphia police officer is being accused of leaving the animal thereto die. authorities say they traced a chip installed in the dog's officer michael long. one year vettura -- 11 year veteran of the department, the woman discovered the dog now known as cranberry four months ago while walking her own dog in wissahickon valley park. >> i could tell she was in distress, obviously, wrapped up in a trash bag, did i not know the condition of her until i had actually gone and opened up the trash bag. and then saw just skin and bones. >> just horrible. long is facing multiple animal cruelty charges, he's been suspended with the intent to dismiss. meantime, you can see

cranberry, though, has made full recovery, fortunately, she's current living in malvern respect described now as a very happy couch potato. >> glad she's doing okay. jerry sandusky expected back in center county courtroom today tried to go a judge to throw out his conviction. saying his lawyers were inadequate. former penn state assistant football coach serving 30 to 60 year prison sentence. and the jury decide willing the fate of former penn state president graham spanier resumes deliberations today in harrisburg. spanier faces child endangerment and conspiracy charges for allegedly mishandling the sandusky case. jury deliberated for six hours yesterday after spanier's defense rested without presenting any evidence. >> twelve jurors from chester count have i been seated for the trial of eric frein, man who alledgedly shot and killed a pennsylvania state treat. he will leud dollars police
