back on "eyewitness news", six of the 10 being held in connection water or attack near london's parliament have been now released, the two women and four men were all arrested in birmingham england where police say attacker khalid masood recently lived. police believe masood act add loan wednesday but wanted to know when others helped prepare for the attack. authorities say masood drove an suv into people in the busy bridge and stabbed a police officer near parliament.

four people killed, dozens were injured, elizabeth palmer has more on masood's background. >> reporter: man calling himself khalid masood by the time he was shot dead outside britain's parliament started life as adrian russell adele, a british born kid who went to a christian school in kent, in england and loved soccer. british police are trying to understand why decade later he decided to commit mass murder with a rented car. it is likely that masood changed his name when he converted to islam, it is three separate stints in jail, one for slashing a man in the face with a knife, that police say his last convictions was back in 2003. by the time masood acted this week he was married with children, and highly unusually was five two-year old. >>orte richard walter is former london police head of the counter terrorism. >> a five two-year old male

cooler to the north and west, chalfont, one of those locations coming in at 46. vineland is in good shape in the mid 50's and then quakertown normally colder coming in at 39 at this hour, 44 in reading. showers, well to the north, across southern tear of the new york state, is there a cold front hang ought right here but it will slowly move southward through the day-to-day, back door cold front comes from the north and it will drop our temperatures, big difference by the time we wake up tomorrow morning and in the afternoon. next several hours cloud, mixed with sunshine, some showers could get in here late in the day especially north of the city. rain chances today not a big 130 percent, most likely coming in after sunset and in the evening hours and overnight, tomorrow we will bring back 50 percent chance of light rain or drizzle just that misty type deal, very dreary conditions for second half of the weekend and better chance for some scattered showers around monday, and tuesday, could even be a few thunderstorms coming out of tuesday afternoon. like i said through time maybe

cloudy cool, mid 40's for the low and it is not a big change in the temperature tomorrow, if we're lucky we will get up to 50. back to the 60's on monday with showers around, 70 gannon tuesday, showers, thunderstorm and it looks like the sun does not return until wednesday, highs in the 60's and then cools back down again, lower 50's next friday with some showers, so it looks like, jan , we are finishing off the month of march. keeping kid and teens away from prescription opioids new study find parents aren't doing enough to safe guard them from the dangers of the powerful drug. as health reporter stephanie stahl tells us doctors say there is a disconnect between what parents know what they should do and then what they actually do. >> reporter: number of children exposed to prescription opioids has fallen since 2009 but levels up from 2,000 and that has doctors concerned. >> lots of bad things can happen when children get in these medicine, children getting sleepy to the point of

coma, and death, and children getting respiratory depression where they decreased breathing or even stopped breathing. >> reporter: study in the pediatrics journal found main groups at risk are curious youngsters under the age of five and teenagers looking to get high or harm themselves. while pediatric exposure to mess prescription painkillers has declined exposure to, the drug continues to climb. it is prescribed to people hoff been previously, addicted to drugs. >> it is the safe for addicts but turns out to be dangerous to young children. >> reporter: safe kid worldwide group says each year 60,000 kid or four bus load, wind up in emergency rooms because they got in the medicine. >> parents should keep medications up and away, out of sight, and out of reach, every time, after every single use. >> reporter: parents are also advised to keep medicine in its original packaging, start practicing safe storage, as

delaware valley. temperatures in the 50's in some spots. split weekend head. if you like it warm you'll like today because tomorrow different story. get outside today and enjoy it look at numbers, 49 at the airport in philadelphia, there is still cool spots, out to the north allentown at 40. cold air trapped in the valleys but look at south jersey, central delaware, mid to upper 50's at this hour, so not going to take much to get our temperatures well to the 60's. even some locations in the lower 70's this afternoon. we are not going to see a whole lot of sun, we will get filtered sunshine around and cloud thicken up more in the afternoon. there is a cold front to the north moving southward so late in the day, we will have a chance for spotty showers in response, north of the city but wind direction is out of the southwest today, that will bring in milder air, and then wind switch out of the north east tonight and cool flow off water returns tomorrow. today partial sunshine around early through the day temperatures running 15 degrees above average. that puts us around 70 degrees

this afternoon, iron then late day showers return. best chance in the late evening hours and overnight. like i said a split weekend, 72 today, tomorrow a dreary day, light rain, drizzle off and on with a high only around 50 degrees. that is what we can expect over next few days, up and down temperatures with more rain chances. we will time that out in the seven day in a few more minutes, jan, back to you. >> have that umbrella haines, thanks, justin. detectives are investigating a murder mystery in burlington county a mother and her young son are killed inside their very own home, a man found his wife and son, stabbed in their apartment on fox meadow drive-in maple shade, "eyewitness news" reporter david spunt brings us up to date on the investigation. >> reporter: gruesome scene on this maple shade street, as a fat's arrived home, to find his 38 year-old wife and six year-old son, dead, someone stabbed them. >> reporter: that is voice of the neighbor who didn't want to show her face on cameras she watched the scene unfold

late thursday night. >> all he kept saying was dead, she's dead, blood every and it was very sad to see him like so distraught. >> reporter: authorities identified victims as 38 year-old and six year-old, who killed them and why, detectives are working to find out those answers. >> total, total disbelief. total disbelief. i just cannot imagine. >> reporter: decks store stevenson lives in the complex and says he saw no damage to the outside of the front door. >> it is, a horrible tragedy and we as a community will do what we need to do to find the perpetrator and stewe do as a cp one another because that is what it is all about. >> reporter: detectives here in maple shade are working with detectives from the burlington county prosecutor's office, if you have any information on this case, give police a call. david spunt for cbs-3 "eyewitness news".

police in gloucester county are looking for clues that will help them track down who killed a man in clayton three three-year old kenneth mostly of fair hilltown ship cumberland county was found dead early friday morning after a shooting at 31 downs street, investigators say mostly was sitting in the living room of his girlfriend 's home when shot through the sliding glass door >> i woke up to what we thought was gunfire but three shots, we came downstairs to check our house to make sure everything was okay. nothing was wrong with our house. before we could even call the police or do anything like that police are showing up outside and calling him them out of the the house next door to us. >> reporter: he knew the shooter saying the crime was quote planned and personal. two other adults and children were at home, at the time but they were moth hurt. police released surveillance video of the two persons of interest in the murder up investigation of the west philadelphia woman they were spotted at separate times walking down an alley way that police say is significant to the investigation.

police continued to follow lead, in the killing of the win fred harris, the six five-year old, was found shot to death in her home on north holy street race month. a woman accused of kidnapping an infant from the king of prussia mall last march was found guilt by montgomery county judge. prosecutors say that rhea moore agreed that evidence, set to be presented, in her jury trial next month would have been enough to quick her. amore now awaits sentencing and faces 27 years behind bars well, spend being the night on the streets is probably not your idea of a good night sleep but if you are homeless, it is a way of life. overnight 150 people slept in cardboard boxes and sleeping bags as part of the covenant house pennsylvania sleep out young professionals addition. the fundraiser will help pay for food, shelter and other services for runaways, home less and youth. >> many of them have been pushed out wye their families, they have runaway because they

times and temperatures all over the place. it feels like middle of the spring, maybe late spring with temperatures in the 70's ahead of this front this front moving from the north so we call it back door cold front so we will come from the west and now we are moving north to south. high today well in the 60's and 70's, tomorrow big difference, front to the south allowing that easterly wind to come n ocean water at 41 degrees. if we're lucky we will hit 50. dreary day. off and on light rain, spotty showers, drizzle at times. forty in allentown. near 50 in philadelphia well to the 50's in south jersey. you can pick out where that front is hanging out southern tear of the new york state right now, north side of the front, 30's and 40's, south of the front, 50's and 60's already. not much happening as far as precipitation right now, most of the showers well to the north. some could get in the poconos later this morning in the afternoon, i think most areas will stay dry, could be a spotty shower, maybe late afternoon, especially in the evening hours, tonight, so, as we go through time we will see this front slowly moving southward through the

afternoon hours, it passes us tonight, and once that front passes you will feel difference. wind switch off the ocean, missed a round of drizzle by the time you wake up tomorrow morning. tomorrow it is a glummy day but watch what happens monday, the front moves back north as a warm front. now we will search temperatures again, for next week, and then still the threat for some showers around looking at these highs today, about that, not bad for this time of the year in the 60's, lehigh valley, berks county, we will hit 50's in mount pocono. seventy's from the city southward. lehigh valley, comfortable lower to mid to upper 60's around the city, potentially lower 70's and maybe even some mid 70's for the warmest spots , interior south jersey and then again, camden, gloucester, salem, cumberland county, dover, delaware, mid 70's. tomorrow different story. just bad timing for half marathon, love run on the parkway, 7:30. temperatures upper 40's. not much difference by the end of the event. cloudy cool day with drizzle but that is not bad for runners. they like cooler temperatures. but they have to battle moisture around.
